Yellow House

En esta ocasión les traigo una colección de fotos que tomé en la Casa Amarilla en 2012. Para recorrer una exposición de arte sobre temáticas indígenas del mundo la cual posee la cancillería de mi país, debido a la invitación de la antropóloga Beatriz Bermudez Rothe quien para esos años laboraba en la Cancillería encargada junto a un equipo de los Pueblos Indígenas de Venezuela. En paralelo también les muestro fotos y videos de una presentación musical que tuve allí también en el año 2012 junto a un cuenta cuentos venezolano.

Casa Amarilla de Caracas (Yellow House):

The Casa Amarilla de Caracas (Yellow House) is a 19th Century neoclassical building in Plaza Bolívar, Caracas and in front of the Santa Ana Cathedral, in the city's main historic quarter. Originally, it served as the headquarters of the Royal Jail of Caracas and the City Council but, after being reformed, it was used as the government palace and official residence of presidents including Francisco Linares Alcántara and Cipriano Castro. Since 1912 it has been the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On 16 February 1979, the Yellow House was designated a National Historical Monument.

La Casa Amarilla de Caracas es un edificio de arquitectura neoclásica que data del siglo XIX y se encuentra frente a la Plaza Bolívar de Caracas y la Catedral, en la esquina principal del casco histórico de la ciudad. Originalmente, sirvió como sede de la Real Cárcel de Caracas y del Ayuntamiento, pero tras ser reformada, se utilizó como palacio de gobierno y residencia oficial de los presidentes, entre ellos Francisco Linares Alcántara y Cipriano Castro. Desde 1912 es la sede del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores. El 16 de febrero de 1979, la Casa Amarilla es designada como Monumento Histórico Nacional.
