ThreeTuneTuesday – Songs I like listening to from the album ‘Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party’ 💛🎧

Si existe algo que puede compensar un corazón roto, un alma con tristeza o una sensación de desánimo, es la música. No solo significa escuchar cualquier canción y dejar que te cale en lo más hondo del alma sino que te permita poder conectar con la canción ya sea porque te sientes identificado, sientes una conexión personal con ella o simplemente disfrutas del cantante que te gusta. Me gusta esta iniciativa de la comunidad de música donde cada martes podemos compartir en tres canciones parte de la música que tanto nos apasiona. Para mi la música significa plenitud y a la vez un lenguaje por el que puedo llegar a sentirme conectada sin importar el idioma en que sea cantada.

If there’s one thing that can soothe a broken heart, a sorrowful soul or a feeling of despondency, it’s music. It’s not just about listening to any old song and letting it sink deep into your soul; it’s about being able to connect with the song – whether because you can relate to it, feel a personal connection with it, or simply enjoy the singer you like. I love this initiative from the music community where, every Tuesday, we can share three songs that represent the music we’re so passionate about. For me, music means fulfilment and, at the same time, a language through which I can feel connected, regardless of the language in which it’s sung.

Poco se habla de lo buena cantante y compositora que es Hayley Williams, ella en su álbum Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party tiene canciones increíbles y regresa como solista. La verdad es que escuche el álbum por curiosidad al ver que se creo una especie de drama en relación con las letras de las canciones y el futuro de Paramore como banda. Realmente no soy muy fan para saber exactamente qué pasó pero saco este increíble álbum en el 2025 y creo que vale totalmente la pena escucharlo. La primera canción que comparto es Good Ol' Days donde habla abiertamente sobre extrañar una vieja relación en la que sentía que todo tenía que ser como a escondidas. El ritmo es genial y la voz de Hayley realmente se mantiene perfecta después de tantos años de trabajo. Me gusta escuchar esta canción aunque no haya pasado por una situación similar, pero es muy pegadiza, tanto que es la que más he escuchado de ella durante este año.

Little is said about what a great singer and songwriter Hayley Williams is; her album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party features some incredible tracks, and she’s making a comeback as a solo artist. To be honest, I listened to the album out of curiosity after seeing that there’d been a bit of a drama surrounding the lyrics and Paramore’s future as a band. I’m not really a big enough fan to know exactly what happened, but she released this incredible album in 2025 and I think it’s definitely worth a listen. The first track I’m sharing is Good Ol’ Days, where she speaks openly about missing an old relationship in which she felt everything had to be kept secret. The beat is brilliant and Hayley’s voice is still in perfect form after so many years in the business. I enjoy listening to this song even though I haven’t been through a similar situation myself, but it’s so catchy – so much so that it’s the one I’ve listened to most by her this year.

Dentro de este mismo álbum está I Won't Quit On You, esta es una canción más lenta y te sientes más melancólico. Habla también de cierta relación y cómo se siente tan familiar el recordar todas las cosas que vivió con esta persona. Incluso, a pesar del dolor ella claramente dice que nunca podría dejar algo así (esta relación) atrás cómo si nunca hubiese sucedido. Se nota que entrego mucho de su amor por la música y de los sentimientos encontrados que tuvo al pasar todo ese tiempo con su ex pareja. Es lenta, pero también es buena dentro del álbum y pienso que no solo puede ser la cantante que tiene un gran poder en su voz como cuando canta canciones de Paramore, ella también puede ser más sutil y expresar con delicadeza lo que siente y es una de mis canciones favoritas también dentro del álbum.

Also on this album is I Won’t Quit On You; it’s a slower track that leaves you feeling rather melancholic. It also talks about a certain relationship and how it feels so familiar to remember all the things she experienced with that person. Even so, despite the pain, she clearly states that she could never just leave something like that (this relationship) behind as if it had never happened. You can tell she pours a lot of her love for music into it, along with the mixed feelings she had whilst spending all that time with her ex-partner. It’s a slow track, but it fits well within the album, and I think she’s not just a singer with a powerful voice, as when she sings Paramore songs; she can also be more subtle and delicately express what she feels. It’s one of my favourite tracks on the album too.

Por último para cerrar esta recomendación del martes, les propongo escuchar todo el álbum pero muy específicamente la canción Love Me Different. Esta canción es mucho más movida y fue la primera que escuche del álbum, me encantó el ritmo que juega con los sonidos y la voz de Hayley Williams. A pesar de que sigue contando más de esa relación amorosa que vivió, lo hace de una manera más divertida con el ritmo. Esta creo que es mi favorita de todo el álbum y que nunca me canso de escuchar. Me encanta poder ver este lado de Hayley y que a pesar de que el álbum no tuvo demasiada publicidad ni llegó a más personas porque tal vez no les gusta escuchar su música por separado de la banda. Siento que realmente dio todo de si misma y también fue una forma de dejar salir todas esas emociones en lo mejor que sabe hacer que es la música. 🫶🏽💛

Finally, to round off this Tuesday’s recommendation, I suggest you listen to the whole album, but in particular the track Love Me Different. This track is much more upbeat and was the first one I heard from the album; I loved the rhythm, which plays with the sounds, and Hayley Williams’s voice. Although she continues to tell the story of that romantic relationship she experienced, she does so in a more playful way thanks to the rhythm. I think this is my favourite track on the whole album, and one I never tire of listening to. I love seeing this side of Hayley, and even though the album didn’t get much publicity or reach a wider audience – perhaps because people don’t like listening to her music separately from the band – I feel she really gave it her all. It was also a way for her to let all those emotions out through what she does best: music. 🫶🏽💛
