Hola amigos de la comunidad de Música, ya terminándose casi esta semana siempre es necesario volver a conectar con lo que tanto nos apasiona. Para mi la música es esencial en mi día a día, me ayuda mucho a conectar con mis emociones y también a aprender un poco de otros idiomas. Amo escuchar cualquier tipo de canción que me haga sentir alguna emoción, es por eso que ahora quiero empezar a compartir a través de mis posts las canciones que descubro mediante el internet. Cosa que es maravillosa porque podemos conectar más fácilmente y encontrar cualquier tipo de música sin necesidad de adquirir un disco o en ocasiones tener que pagar por ello —como es el caso de YouTube, aunque ahí se pague una subscripción para que no te salgan los anuncios—.

Hello, friends in the Music community. With the week almost over, it’s always a good time to reconnect with what we’re so passionate about. For me, music is an essential part of my daily life; it really helps me get in touch with my emotions and also learn a bit of other languages. I love listening to any kind of song that stirs an emotion in me, which is why I now want to start sharing, through my posts, the songs I discover online. It’s wonderful because we can connect more easily and find any kind of music without having to buy an album or, in some cases, pay for it — as is the case with YouTube, although there you pay a subscription to avoid adverts.

Me gustan varios cantantes de habla hispana, como por ejemplo Alejandro Sanz. Siento que él tiene una voz increíble y un talento indudable, hay varias canciones que me gustan de él que son bastante antiguas, pero hace poco sacó la canción Rimowa con la cantante de origen venezolano Elena Rose. Ella siempre habia trabajado escribiendo canciones para otros cantantes, canciones que han sido exitosas pero después se atrevió a ser cantante solista y contar la historias desde su preciosa voz. Ambos transmiten una emoción genuina en esta canción, el vídeo es hermoso pero la letra es más profunda de lo que parece. Yo la tomo como alguien que está pasando por momentos difíciles y no quiere ser una carga para otros. Aunque la letra puede ser algo triste, la canción no te hace sentir de esa manera. Me encantó desde la primera vez que la escuché y quise compartir el vídeo con ustedes. 🫶🏼

I like several Spanish-speaking singers, such as Alejandro Sanz. I feel he has an incredible voice and undeniable talent; there are several songs of his that I like which are quite old, but he recently released the song Rimowa with the Venezuelan-born singer Elena Rose. She had always worked writing songs for other singers – songs that have been successful – but then she took the plunge to become a solo singer and tell stories through her beautiful voice. Both of them convey genuine emotion in this song; the video is beautiful, but the lyrics are deeper than they seem. I interpret it as someone going through difficult times who doesn’t want to be a burden to others. Although the lyrics might be a bit sad, the song doesn’t make you feel that way. I loved it from the first time I heard it and wanted to share the video with you. 🫶🏼

Alanis Morissette es una cantante que en la década de los noventa estuvo muy de moda, cada canción que sacaba era un hit y yo, muy poco sabía de su trayectoria o de sus canciones hasta que me encontré con la canción You Learn. Es una letra que te hace pensar en que todo el camino de la vida puede estar lleno de subidas y bajadas, de aciertos y errores. Sin embargo, Morissette en esta canción nos recuerda con el coro, que siempre se aprende aunque sintamos que estamos estancados o que ya no hay futuro para nosotros. La siento como una canción que motiva a que seamos mejores personas y que además puedes escuchar las veces que sean necesarias como si fuese un mantra. Siento que ella tiene muchas más canciones que son buenas, las tengo que buscar para luego hablarles más de lo que opino sobre ellas.

Alanis Morissette is a singer who was all the rage in the 1990s; every song she released was a hit, yet I knew very little about her career or her songs until I came across the track You Learn. The lyrics make you realise that life’s journey can be full of ups and downs, of successes and mistakes. However, in this song, Morissette reminds us in the chorus that we’re always learning, even if we feel stuck or that there’s no future for us. I see it as a song that encourages us to be better people, and one you can listen to as many times as you need, as if it were a mantra. I feel she has many more great songs; I’ll have to look them up so I can tell you more about what I think of them later.

Hace unos días fue el festival de Coachella y estuve al tanto porque me gustan las canciones de Justin Bieber y el tenía mucho tiempo que no se presentaba en vivo y cantaba sus canciones tanto antiguas como las nuevas. Fue un show increíble, que no necesito demasiados elementos para que fuese algo especial e inolvidable. El canto canciones de sus primeros álbumes y como buen fan, sentí una alegría inmensa cuando vi los vídeos y ver que después de tanto que ha pasado, el se ve más seguro y más en paz consigo mismo. Su último álbum llamado Swag I y Swag II tiene muchas canciones nuevas y aún no he escuchado todas pero me encanto la presentación de ALL THE WAY. Es una canción romántica, que me recuerda mucho al sonido de canciones estilo R&B y también a las baladas, es muy bonita y habla sobre su relación, como después de todo el haría todo de nuevo solo por estar con ella hasta el final. Les recomiendo escucharla y seguro que también les gustará si disfrutan de este tipo de canciones.

A few days ago was the Coachella festival, and I was keeping an eye on it because I like Justin Bieber’s songs, and it had been a long time since he’d performed live, singing both his old and new tracks. It was an incredible show; it didn’t need much to make it special and unforgettable. He sang songs from his early albums and, as a true fan, I felt immense joy when I watched the videos and saw that, after everything that’s happened, he looks more confident and at peace with himself. His latest album, Swag I and Swag II, has lots of new songs and I haven’t listened to them all yet, but I loved the performance of ALL THE WAY. It’s a romantic song that reminds me a lot of R&B-style tracks and ballads; it’s very beautiful and talks about his relationship, how, after everything, he’d do it all again just to be with her until the end. I recommend you give it a listen; I’m sure you’ll like it too if you enjoy this sort of music.

A mi me encantan las canciones de género country, este género es muy escuchado en los Estados Unidos y me empezó a gustar porque Taylor Swift al comienzo de su carrera era cantante country para después pasar más al género del pop. Pero hace poco encontré una canción del cantante Jelly Roll llamada Thorns, es muy especial desde el comienzo y el tiene una voz increíble. Me encanta que sea como una dedicatoria hacia la persona que fue y quien es ahora, toda llena de mensajes como recordatorios sobre que el camino puede ser cuesta arriba, pero aún así vale la pena seguir adelante y nunca olvidar que aunque ahora está en la cima, siempre habrán espinas en cada rosa de la vida. No he visto el vídeo oficial por lo que es primera vez que lo hago, pero la canción ya he perdido la cuenta de cuantas veces la he escuchado jaja.

I absolutely love country music; it’s very popular in the United States, and I started to like it because Taylor Swift began her career as a country singer before moving more towards pop. But recently I came across a song by the singer Jelly Roll called Thorns; it’s really special right from the start and he has an incredible voice. I love that it’s like a tribute to the person he used to be and who he is now, full of messages reminding us that the road can be an uphill struggle, but it’s still worth carrying on and never forgetting that even though he’s at the top now, there will always be thorns on every rose in life. I haven’t seen the official video yet, so this is the first time I’ve watched it, but I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve listened to the song haha.

Estas son algunas canciones que he estado escuchando últimamente, me encanta poder encontrar nuevas cada día y disfrutar del poder de una buena melodía. No sé si conocerán algunas de las que mencioné anteriormente, pero si tienen alguna banda/artista como recomendación que tenga este tipo de estilo musical me gustaría que me lo dejaran en los comentarios.
