Una de mis cantantes favoritas es Britney Spears, quien se ganó con esfuerzo el título de Princesa del Pop y no es para menos, cuenta con una trayectoria musical que desde sus comienzos siguieron de un exito tras otro.

Hay tantas canciones de Britney que me gustan por el estilo, su toque personal y la transparencia al hablar de temas personales y algunas veces muy sensibles para ella como ser humano. Una de esas canciones que se quedó grabada en mi cabeza desde la primera vez que la escuché fue Everytime, suelo escuchar canciones con toque de balada y también con letras melancólicas por lo que está canción me llegó al corazón con solo escuchar los primeros segundos. Además de que muestra el lado más vulnerable en la vida de Britney, más allá de todo el éxito y de la fama que alcanzó también hay un ser humano que paso por momentos muy difíciles y que fue muy criticado al reaccionar ante todo el acoso mediático que recibió.

La canción duele cuando la escuchas sin saber el contexto, pero luego de conocer la historia real detrás de la canción es difícil no sentirse triste por lo que sucedió en esa etapa de su vida. La letra es muy lenta, es una forma de ir narrando el dolor que sentía al tener que dejar ir a algo que amaba y que aunque nunca pudo saber cómo hubiera sido su vida si hubiera decidido ver nacer a su bebé, siente una carga muy grande y una culpa que relata en la canción donde dice que puede incluso soñar en como sería este bebé que amaba pero que no pudo tener producto del miedo, de la presión de ser una estrella en ascenso, de ser víctima de su expareja y de su propio padre que se aprovecho para usar su talento como modo de obtener dinero.

La canción en esta presentación se siente más personal, dan hasta ganas de llorar al verla, se veía tan joven y con muchas esperanzas de ser una mujer normal que pudiera tener una familia y que el mundo no la hubiera tratado de manera tan cruel.

Es un gran cantante y tiene varias canciones muy recordadas y hoy en día sigue con su carrera, pero en algún punto saco un cover de la canción Everytime, si sentía que la original era sumamente triste la versión de él fue muy sublime, con mucho sentimiento y que me hizo amar aún más está canción, su versión tal vez no es tan popular o para el gusto de todo el mundo, pero lo hizo con una vulnerabilidad que siento es el mejor cover que existe de esta canción.

Amo esta canción y aunque es triste me transmite una sensación de calma a pesar de la letra, entre tantas canciones de Britney es de mis favoritas y espero puedan escuchar las tres versiones, no hay duda que detrás de la estrella hay una gran mujer que lucha hasta el día de hoy por recuperar su vida, su identidad, su amor propio, su seguridad y trata de sanar sus heridas a su manera aunque muchos no la vean como alguien que está emocionalmente estable.
