Hola amigos de la comunidad de Womentribe, espero que se encuentren bien el día de hoy ❤️. Hoy quise unirme a la iniciativa de @syllem dónde nos propone escribir sobre alguna letra de una canción que nos cambió la vida y que nos dejó un gran mensaje a través de la música. He estado escuchando últimamente diferentes tipos de canciones ya que suele gustarme mucho el pop, punk, indie alternativo y hace un tiempo me encontré con las canciones de la banda The Killers.

Hello friends of the Womentribe community, I hope you are feeling well today ❤️. Today I wanted to join @syllem initiative where she proposes us to write about some lyrics of a song that changed our lives and left us a great message through music. I've been listening lately to different types of songs since I usually like pop, punk, alternative indie and some time ago I came across the songs of the band The Killers.

Está banda formada por el vocalista Brandon Flowers quien tiene una voz potente y que te hace sentir con cada una de sus canciones dentro de un mundo lleno de fuerza, esperanza, emoción y euforia, mientras buscaba canciones de ellos me llamó la atención una en específico que se quedó grabada en mi cabeza y se llama Be Still, no sé si es por la letra tan inspiradora o por la voz y la emoción que le pone Brandon al cantarla pero me siento muy feliz y con esperanzas de que la vida tiene muchas cosas buenas que ofrecer a pesar de lo malo.

This band is formed by the vocalist Brandon Flowers who has a powerful voice and makes you feel with each of his songs in a world full of strength, hope, excitement and euphoria, while I was looking for songs of theirs I was struck by a specific one that stuck in my head and is called Be Still, I do not know if it is because of the inspiring lyrics or the voice and the emotion that Brandon puts when singing it but I feel very happy and hopeful that life has many good things to offer despite the bad.

Hay una parte que dice "No cambies tu carácter, tienes un gran corazón" cada vez que suena en el coro de la canción me da mucho sentimiento y me hace sentir como si la hubieran escrito para mí y me alegro de haberla encontrado justo en el momento indicado cuando más la necesitaba. También hay otra parte que dice básicamente que la vida puede ser muy difícil y que vas a pasar por momentos en los que sentirás que es demasiado como para continuar pero está canción para mí es el himno de The Killers a la esperanza y al amor hacia sus fans y todas aquellas personas que tienen la suerte de poder escuchar esta canción, amaría escucharla en vivo porque sería otro nivel ya que Brandon tiene una voz tan especial que en vivo suena igual o aún mejor que las canciones dentro de los álbumes.

There is a part that says "Don't change your character, you have a big heart" every time it plays in the chorus of the song it gives me a lot of feeling and makes me feel like it was written for me and I'm glad I found it just at the right time when I needed it the most. There is also another part that basically says that life can be very difficult and that you are going to go through times where you will feel like it is too much to go on but this song to me is The Killers anthem to hope and love for their fans and all those people who are lucky enough to get to hear this song, I would love to hear it live because it would be another level as Brandon has such a special voice that live sounds just as good or even better than the songs inside the albums.

Cada vez que me siento agotada y cansada recuerdo está cancion de inmediato, me gusta buscar un video en Youtube de la banda cantando Be Still en vivo porque la forma en la que se escucha con el ruido de los fans siguiendo la letra es algo que emociona y que te hace sentir que no estás solo en el mundo, que hay más personas que sienten con esta canción el abrazo que tanto desean recibir y asi poder continuar con los propósitos de sus vidas. Es una experiencia única, a veces siento que encuentro canciones que están hechas para que las escuche en momentos determinados, la música a salvado muchas vidas incluyendo la mía.

Every time I feel exhausted and tired I remember this song immediately, I like to look for a video on Youtube of the band singing Be Still live because the way it is heard with the noise of the fans following the lyrics is something that excites and makes you feel that you are not alone in the world, that there are more people who feel with this song the hug they want to receive so much and so they can continue with the purposes of their lives. It is a unique experience, sometimes I feel that I find songs that are made for me to listen to at certain times, music has saved many lives including mine.

¿Por qué elegí esta canción?

Simplemente por qué es una canción que habla de manera auténtica y humana del sufrimiento y de todo lo que un ser humano puede vivir, porque es para mí un recordatorio de que las cosas por más oscuras que parezcan siempre pueden mejorar y que en cualquier momento que me sienta sin ánimos puedo volver a escuchar Be Still y sentirme fuerte de nuevo.

Why did I choose this song?

Simply because it is a song that speaks in an authentic and human way about suffering and all that a human being can go through, because it is a reminder to me that no matter how dark things may seem they can always get better and that any time I feel down I can listen to Be Still and feel strong again.

¿Que te hace sentir esta cancion?

Es un torbellino de emociones, la primera vez que la escuché causó un gran impacto en mi y hasta recuerdo que lloré. La potencia del vocalista hace que te sientas escuchado y que puedas entender que todo pasa y que la vida siempre tiene mejores cosas que esperan por nosotros.

What does this song make you feel?

It's a whirlwind of emotions, the first time I heard it it caused a great impact on me and I even remember crying. The power of the vocalist makes you feel heard and you can understand that everything happens and that life always has better things waiting for us.

¿Que mensaje para compartir te inspira?

En el mes de la prevención del suicidio está canción tiene mucho más peso, para una persona que lucha constantemente con su salud mental y su deseo de ya no estar más en este plano, puede ayudarlo a sentirse un poco más comprendido y entender que es valido sentirse mal, vacío y sin ganas de continuar pero siempre hay alternativas más allá del terminar con tu vida. Aferrate a todo aquello que por más mínimo que parezca te de tranquilidad y paz, continua un día a la vez y busca ayuda porque la vida vale la pena vivirla.

What message to share inspires you?

In the month of suicide prevention this song has much more weight, for a person who constantly struggles with his mental health and his desire to no longer be on this plane, can help you feel a little more understood and understand that it is valid to feel bad, empty and unwilling to continue but there are always alternatives beyond ending your life. Hold on to whatever seems to give you peace and tranquility, continue one day at a time and seek help because life is worth living.
