La primera vez que escuché a Avril fue por un primo que era mayor que yo y le gustaba mucho todo este mundo de la música punk rock y se la pasaba todo el tiempo escuchándola a ella y a otros grupos como My chemical romance y Green Day. Yo tenía unos siete años y no entendía nada de lo que decía pero sentía mucha energía al oírla, en esos tiempos era muy común comprar CDs y mi primo tenía una colección de varios cantantes entre ellos Avril. Also on TV there was a channel called MTV that showed new music every day and it was very cool to see all the videos of many artists. I always watched Avril's videos, among them I really liked Complicated and I'm With You, they repeated them a lot and I liked to watch them.

Repetía mucho estás canciones y me sentía como toda una adolescente rebelde que quería ser libre jajaja.

I repeated these songs a lot and I felt like a rebellious teenager who wanted to be free hahaha.

Siempre me gustó mucho el estilo musical de Avril, su primer álbum sin duda fue el mejor para mí, llegó un punto de su carrera que ella decidió cambiar un poco lo que venía haciendo e hizo algo más pop como lo fue Girlfriend una canción muy pegajosa pero no fue del todo de mi gusto. También como todos sabrán se especuló mucho que Avril habría muerto después de sacar su primer álbum y que había sido reemplazada por una chica casi igual a ella, la verdad me parece que la gente le gusta inventar y crear polémica, yo nunca creí eso de que ella había muerto.

Also as you all know there was a lot of speculation that Avril had died after releasing her first album and that she had been replaced by a girl almost like her, the truth is that people like to invent and create controversy, I never believed that she died.

Realmente Avril Lavigne fue y es una de mis cantantes favoritas, porque en sus canciones expresa lo que alguna vez sentí o lo que siento algunas veces en ciertas circunstancias de mi vida. Estoy muy feliz de que haya vuelto a sacar un álbum más parecido a su estilo del comienzo y que las personas que alguna vez fueron fanáticas les haya gustado. Próximamente viene mi cumpleaños y claro que Avril va a estar en la playlist que estoy preparando para cantarme unas cuantas canciones de ella jaja. Avril salvó muchas vidas incluyendo la mía, me hizo sentir menos sola, acompañada y que tenía una especie de lugar en el mundo. Estoy muy agradecida de vivir en el mismo tiempo terrenal que ella y espero algún día poder cumplir mi sueño de verla en un concierto y gritar sus canciones.

My birthday is coming up soon and of course Avril will be on the playlist I'm preparing to sing a few of her songs haha. Avril saved many lives including mine, she made me feel less lonely, accompanied and that I had a kind of place in the world. I am so grateful to live in the same earthly time as her and I hope one day I can fulfill my dream of seeing her in concert and screaming her songs.

Para mí siempre será la artista que escuche por primera vez y que sin duda me dejó impactada por su estilo desenfrenado y original. Es una persona increíble y como cantante también es grandiosa, no creo que pase un día que no escuche una canción de ella para alegrar mi día con su voz.
