[ESP-ENG] Album Review: The Tortured Poets Department by Taylor Swift 🤍💫

Hola amigos de la comunidad de Música espero se encuentren bien el día de hoy. Cómo siempre el escuchar nuevas canciones me lleva a sentirme emocionada sobre todo por qué cada día sale un nuevo artista y un estilo que identifica a cada cantante o grupo. La música para mí es esencial, me ayuda a relajarme y me da esa sensación de paz que tal vez no consigo con algo diferente, además de que puedo aprender más del idioma ingles ya que suelo escuchar música de varios géneros en este idioma pero uno de mis favoritos es el pop y el pop/rock siento que es un estilo bastante común y muy sonado pero que siempre está ahí para ser un nuevo hit y convertirse en la canción del momento. TikTok es una plataforma dónde podemos encontrar videos con muchas de las canciones que se vuelven virales ya sean tanto nuevas como antiguas y esto es algo que me parece maravilloso de la aplicación.

Hello friends of the music community I hope you are well today. As always listening to new songs makes me feel excited especially because every day a new artist comes out and a style that identifies each singer or group. Music for me is essential, it helps me to relax and gives me that feeling of peace that maybe I don't get with something different, plus I can learn more of the English language as I usually listen to music of various genres in this language but one of my favorites is pop and pop / rock I feel that it is a fairly common style and very sounded but it is always there to be a new hit and become the song of the moment. TikTok is a platform where we can find videos with many of the songs that go viral both new and old and this is something that I think is wonderful about the application.

Hoy quiero hablarles del nuevo álbum de Taylor Swift llamado The Tortured Poets Department o El Departamento de los Poetas Torturados, desde el comienzo cuando supe que iba a salir nuevo álbum de Taylor estuve muy emocionada y expectante por conocer las nuevas canciones, colaboraciones y ritmos dentro del álbum, el concepto me parece bastante genial en cuanto a que cómo en el vídeo de una de las canciones que forma parte de este álbum llamada Fortnight podemos detallar el ambiente donde se encuentra Taylor que básicamente es un cuarto de hospital al estilo de psiquiátrico dónde ella esta enferma y atada a una cama con un vestido completamente blanco que va acorde a la canción y al álbum, además en esta canción la acompaña el talentoso Post Malone quien también aparece en el vídeo y me parecio sublime la forma en la que ambos actuaron como una pareja sin olvidar que Post Malone le da ese toque de su propia personalidad a la canción lo que la hace una de mis favoritas hasta el momento.

Today I want to talk about Taylor Swift's new album called The Tortured Poets Department, from the beginning when I knew that Taylor's new album was going to be released I was very excited and expectant to know the new songs, collaborations and rhythms inside the album, I think the concept is pretty cool as in the video of one of the songs that is part of this album called Fortnight we can detail the environment where Taylor is basically a psychiatric hospital room where she is sick and tied to a bed with a completely white dress that goes according to the song and the album, Also in this song she is accompanied by the talented Post Malone who also appears in the video and I found it sublime the way they both acted as a couple without forgetting that Post Malone gives that touch of his own personality to the song which makes it one of my favorites so far.

El álbum puede sonar bastante deprimente sobre todo por canciones cómo loml (loss of my life) dónde Taylor cuenta de manera progresiva la historia de una relación que se va desmoronando y que al comienzo empieza asegurando que esa persona es el amor de su vida pero luego en cuanto la canción va avanzando se da cuenta de que ya es imposible sostener algo que se ha acabado y por eso ella termina con la sentencia de que "tu eres la pérdida de mi vida" y es algo que suena muy fuerte pero que si conoces alguna canción de Taylor sabrás que ella siempre tiene una canción bastante triste y personal que habla sobre sus propias experiencias de vida y de sus relaciones amorosas. Su voz melodiosa junto al piano me recuerda a las canciones de sus otros álbumes como Folklore y Red donde también hay un repertorio excelente que puede ayudarte a sentirte identificado y acompañado en cualquier tipo de circunstancias por la que estés pasando.

Tenemos más canciones tristes como por ejemplo The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived que es otra de mis favoritas y que realmente me impresionó porque al comienzo empieza de manera lenta y pausada a contarnos la historia de un hombre que literalmente fue el peor cobarde con el que puedes estar, ese tipo de hombre que no tiene ninguna intención de cambiar su manera de pensar o de ser y que va por la vida dejando personas lastimadas, literalmente cuando escuche la canción por primera vez casi lloré porque pude sentir la tristeza y la emoción en la voz de Taylor cantando está canción y además que le agregara al final la mejor parte de la letra de esta canción junto con una banda sonando de fondo dándole un toque de rock al estilo The Black Parade de My Chemical Romance quien es un grupo que también me encanta, todo esto me hizo sentir que está canción se puede aplicar tanto en relaciones amorosas como también parentales, es una forma de drenar todo lo que no puedes decir con palabras y Taylor supo bien como hacernos sentir tanto emoción como tristeza en una sola canción, si no la han escuchado les invito hacerlo porque realmente cada minuto vale la pena.

We have more sad songs like for example The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived which is another one of my favorites and it really impressed me because at the beginning it starts slow and slow to tell us the story of a man who literally was the worst coward you can be with, that kind of man who has no intention of changing his way of thinking or being and who goes through life leaving people hurting, literally when I heard the song for the first time I almost cried because I could feel the sadness and emotion in Taylor's voice singing this song and also that he added at the end the best part of the lyrics of this song along with a band playing in the background giving it a rock touch in the style of The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance who is a band I also love, all this made me feel that this song can be applied in love relationships as well as parental relationships, it's a way to drain everything you can't say with words and Taylor knew well how to make us feel both emotion and sadness in one song, if you haven't listened to it I invite you to do it because it's really worth every minute.

Pero como no puede faltar ese toque de motivación que siempre nos da Taylor en sus álbumes en canciones como Long Live, Mean, You're On Your Own Kid, Change, Fearless, entre otras, tenemos en este álbum una canción que es sumamente especial para los fans y es I Can Do It With A Broken Heart donde podemos escuchar desde el comienzo como nos cuenta Taylor la manera en la que en muchas situaciones que ha vivido sobre todo las negativas a conseguido siempre estar de pie y no dejarse derrotar por una noticia amarillista o por las opiniones ajenas, literalmente diciendo que a pesar de estar con el corazón roto siempre toma la decisión de pararse frente al escenario y dar lo mejor de si para sus fans y para dejar un recuerdo imborrable de su último tour llamado The Eras Tour en el cuál incluyó todos sus albumes y que es una locura porque tiene una duracion de más de tres horas dónde ella no para hasta terminar de hacer lo que siempre ha amado como lo es cantar y disfrutar del show y sus fans sin importar si llueve o pase algún imprevisto de hecho de todos los artistas que me gustan ella es la que pone más empeño y siempre es responsable a la hora de presentar sus shows cosa que admiro muchísimo porque demuestra que ama lo que hace y que ademas esta agradecida con sus fans que han seguido su trayectoria por más de dieciséis años.

But as you can't miss that touch of motivation that Taylor always gives us in her albums in songs like Long Live, Mean, You're On Your Own Kid, Change, Fearless, among others, we have in this album a song that is extremely special for the fans and is I Can Do It With A Broken Heart where we can hear from the beginning how Taylor tells us the way in which in many situations she has lived especially the negative ones she has always managed to stand up and not be defeated by a tabloid news or by the opinions of others, literally saying that despite being heartbroken she always takes the decision to stand in front of the stage and give the best of herself for her fans and to leave an indelible memory of her last tour called The Eras Tour in which she included all her albums and which is crazy because it has a duration of more than three hours where she does not stop until she finishes doing what she has always loved as it is to sing and enjoy herself. I love singing and enjoying the show and her fans no matter if it rains or something unexpected happens. In fact of all the artists I like she is the one who puts more effort and is always responsible when presenting her shows which I admire very much because it shows that she loves what she does and that she is also grateful to her fans who have followed her career for more than sixteen years.

El Eras Tour es un sueño que muchos han logrado ver en vivo y conocer a Taylor mucho más de cerca, dónde además de disfrutar del ambiente entre los fans pueden tener un show completo dónde pueden escuchar desde canciones de su álbum debut hasta su último álbum The Tortured Poets Department el cual fue agregado al concierto después de su lanzamiento. Me encanta ver cómo todos se unen con la intención de poder vivir una noche de mucha música, llanto y risas porque el show el simplemente único y especial. Este álbum tiene muchos más temas increíbles como Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?, Guilty As Sin?, Down Bad, My Boy Only Break His Favorite Toys entre otros. Es un álbum que fue realmente inesperado pero que no está por debajo de sus álbumes anteriores y que aunque hay algunos cambios en el estilo con el que ella solía realizar sus canciones podemos ver que es una persona que ha crecido y que ha aprendido de sus propios errores y que ahora se encuentra en su mejor momento con el Eras Tour. Aún faltan regrabaciones por lanzar y esto es algo que me emociona mucho sobre todo por las canciones del Vault o las descartadas que ahora ella está sacando con los álbumes de su versión, espero que les haya gustado este post y los invito a escuchar The Tortured Poets Department y la discografia de Taylor Swift, muchas gracias por llegar hasta aquí y nos vemos en un próximo post 🤍💫

The Eras Tour is a dream that many have been able to see live and get to know Taylor much closer, where besides enjoying the atmosphere among the fans they can have a complete show where they can listen to songs from her debut album to her latest album The Tortured Poets Department which was added to the concert after its release. I love to see how everyone comes together with the intention of being able to experience a night of great music, crying and laughing because the show is simply unique and special. This album has many more incredible songs like Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?, Guilty As Sin?, Down Bad, My Boy Only Break His Favorite Toys among others. It is an album that was really unexpected but it is not below her previous albums and although there are some changes in the style with which she used to perform her songs we can see that she is a person who has grown up and learned from her own mistakes and now she is at her best with the Eras Tour.
