Hola amigos de la comunidad de Música, espero se encuentren muy bien. Hace poco estuve escuchando de nuevo uno de los mejores álbumes pop del año 2015. Tal vez algunos habrán escuchado a la cantante Carly Rae Jepsen por icónico tema Call me maybe que se volvió viral entre los amantes de la música y del mundo artístico. Nadie podía no cantar esa canción que fue tan pegadiza y que resaltó el talento de Carly de una manera en que la llevo a estar entre las primeras en las listas musicales, sin embargo su éxito continuó aunque su fama no llego a darse de tal manera como otros cantantes tal vez producto de la falta de promoción o de que no la tomaron en cuenta, tanto a su grandiosa voz como a su talento que es innato y que dejó álbumes increíbles como el que les vengo a compartir: Emotion.

Hello, friends of the Music community, I hope you are all doing well. I was recently listening again to one of the best pop albums of 2015. Some of you may have heard singer Carly Rae Jepsen's iconic song Call Me Maybe, which went viral among music lovers and the artistic world. No one could resist singing along to this catchy tune, which showcased Carly's talent in a way that propelled her to the top of the music charts. However, her success continued even though she did not achieve the same level of fame as other singers, perhaps due to a lack of promotion or because her great voice and innate talent were overlooked. She has released incredible albums, such as the one I am about to share with you: Emotion.

Emotion es un álbum que mezcla la energía pop con un poco del estilo musical de los 80s, tiene canciones de amor, para bailar y una buena producción. También cuenta con videos musicales increíbles y con la participación de actores reconocidos dentro de ellos. Sin embargo el álbum paso un poco desapercibido aunque con el tiempo fue tomado en cuenta como uno de sus mejores álbumes y que resalta aquella época de los 80s con sonidos característicos y con una increíble interpretación en cada una de las canciones que contiene el álbum, que además tuvo otras versiones, pero solo llegue a escuchar el original.

Emotion is an album that blends pop energy with a touch of 80s musical style, featuring love songs, dance tracks and excellent production. It also boasts incredible music videos featuring well-known actors. However, the album went somewhat unnoticed, although over time it came to be considered one of his best albums, highlighting that era of the 80s with characteristic sounds and incredible performances in each of the songs on the album, which also had other versions, but I only got to hear the original.

Carly Rae Jepsen tiene una voz ingeniosa, melodiosa y única donde logra capturar la emoción que quiere transmitir en cada canción. Siento que ella es la indicada al momento de cantar canciones que hablen sobre el amor, al menos la mayor parte de su discografía habla sobre el mismo, buscando de alguna manera reflejar esos sentimientos y emociones naturales de los seres humanos. Algo que me encanta de ella es que a pesar de los años nunca se vendió como alguien diferente a quien es en verdad, tal vez no logro ser reconocida como otras artistas del nivel de Lady Gaga, Madonna, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, pero si que consiguió ser vista por su amor a la música y siempre quedará la opción de regresar a su música y seguir disfrutandola.

Carly Rae Jepsen has a clever, melodious and unique voice that captures the emotion she wants to convey in each song. I feel that she is the right person to sing songs about love, at least most of her discography is about love, seeking in some way to reflect those natural feelings and emotions of human beings. Something I love about her is that, despite the passing years, she has never sold herself as someone other than who she really is. She may not be as recognised as other artists of the calibre of Lady Gaga, Madonna, Taylor Swift, or Katy Perry, but she has managed to be seen for her love of music, and there will always be the option to return to her music and continue enjoying it.

Las canciones que más destacan del álbum son Run Away With Me, Gimme Love, All That, Emotion y Your Type aunque hay muchas más. Para mi la que primero me atrapó fue Run Away With Me, es una canción que tiene una mezcla fugaz de romanticismo, una buena melodía, que puedes escuchar en repetición y que además te levanta el álbum. Es espectacular y me encanta que a pesar de los años, la vuelvo a escuchar y me causa la misma emoción como si fuera la primera vez. Sin duda es una de sus mejores canciones y que resaltan ese sonido ochentero que transmite todo el álbum, además de que la voz de Carly suena sublime y muy hermosa, vale la pena escucharla si eres de esas personas que disfrutas escuchando música de otra época.

The standout tracks on the album are Run Away With Me, Gimme Love, All That, Emotion and Your Type, although there are many more. The first one that caught my attention was Run Away With Me, a song with a fleeting mix of romanticism and a great melody that you can listen to on repeat and that also lifts the album. It's spectacular, and I love that even after all these years, when I listen to it again, it gives me the same thrill as if it were the first time. It's undoubtedly one of her best songs, highlighting the 80s sound that permeates the entire album. Carly's voice is sublime and beautiful, and it's worth listening to if you're one of those people who enjoys listening to music from another era.

Otra de mis favoritas sin duda es All That, es una canción lenta que te lleva a sentirte en una película de romance antiguo, suena a una revelación de amor y a un querer quedarte con esa persona para siempre. Es muy bonita, también resalta el estilo musical que se transmite en este álbum solo que la melodía es mucho más lenta y es perfecta como para escuchar en una boda, en un baile o en la soledad y sentirte emocionado como si estuvieras viviendo dentro de una película de romance de los ochenta, toda una revelación y melodía que transmite amor y más amor, es de esas que se quedan en tu cabeza y por más que lo intentes la melodía no se termina nunca.

Another of my favourites is undoubtedly All That, a slow song that makes you feel like you're in an old romantic film. It sounds like a declaration of love and a desire to stay with that person forever. It's very beautiful and highlights the musical style of this album, except that the melody is much slower and perfect for listening to at a wedding, at a dance or on your own, and feel excited as if you were living in an 80s romance film. It's a revelation and a melody that conveys love and more love. It's one of those songs that stays in your head and no matter how hard you try, the melody never ends.

Emotion es un álbum que demuestra que Carly Rae Jepsen es más que una artista de canciones pop, que también sabe jugar con los sonidos y lo hace bastante bien, que tiene una voz que transmite tanto al escucharla y que puedes quedarte ensimismado al escuchar cada canción de este álbum. Para mi fue como una forma de salir de su burbuja y probar con otros sonidos como el de los 80s que tal vez ya han sido escuchados en canciones como las de Madonna o Celine Dion. Debería de tener más éxito hoy en día, pero es agradable poder escuchar canciones que tal vez no son tan conocidas pero que tienen un efecto positivo en las personas, yo ame este álbum y hace poco lo volví a escuchar y me sigue gustando tanto como la primera vez. 💗

Emotion is an album that proves Carly Rae Jepsen is more than just a pop singer; she also knows how to play with sounds and does it quite well. She has a voice that conveys so much when you listen to it, and you can get lost in every song on this album. For me, it was like a way for her to step out of her bubble and try other sounds, such as those from the 80s, which may have already been heard in songs by Madonna or Celine Dion. She should be more successful today, but it's nice to be able to listen to songs that may not be so well known but have a positive effect on people. I loved this album and recently listened to it again and still like it as much as I did the first time. 💗
