Airbag: Una banda poco conocida y muy enigmática. 🎶🖤 [ESP/ENG]

Hola amigos de la comunidad de Música, espero que hayan empezado de buena manera este año 2026. Lo que siempre me apasiona es poder compartir parte de la música que escucho y que voy encontrando en el camino, nunca me dejo llevar por nombres, fama o géneros porque me he llevado grandes sorpresas como la más reciente al encontrar a una banda argentina por un vídeo en internet. Esta banda se llama Airbag y ya tiene bastantes años en la industria y tal vez algunos la conocerán como otros que no, así que los invito a leer parte de mi experiencia al escucharlos y las canciones que más me han gustado de la banda.

Hello, friends of the Music community. I hope you've had a good start to 2026. I'm always passionate about sharing some of the music I listen to and discover along the way. I never get carried away by names, fame, or genres because I've had some great surprises, like the most recent one when I found an Argentine band through a video on the internet. This band is called Airbag and has been in the industry for quite a few years now. Some of you may know them, while others may not, so I invite you to read about my experience listening to them and the songs I've liked the most from the band.

Para mi siempre el estilo de rock o rock/alternativo me ha gustado sobre todo en inglés, pero son muy pocas las bandas o músicos en español que conozco que me han dejado impresionada con sus canciones, en el caso de Airbag fue una sorpresa totalmente inesperada y me sorprendió tanto que casi sentí que iba a llorar con una de sus canciones. Esta banda fue formada en Argentina a finales de los 90s por tres hermanos: Patricio, Gastón y Guido Sardelli. Durante su trayectoria han sacado varios álbumes y realmente no entiendo cómo es que antes no había escuchado nada de ellos, pero por suerte me topé con sus canciones y me encantan.

I've always liked rock or alternative rock, especially in English, but there are very few bands or musicians in Spanish that I know of that have impressed me with their songs. In the case of Airbag, it was a totally unexpected surprise, and I was so surprised that I almost felt like crying when I heard one of their songs. This band was formed in Argentina in the late 1990s by three brothers: Patricio, Gastón, and Guido Sardelli. They have released several albums throughout their career, and I really don't understand how I hadn't heard anything about them before, but luckily I stumbled upon their songs and I love them.

Ellos tienen un estilo de rock/rock alternativo, hard rock, power ballads e incluso un poco de tango muy característico de su país. Los hermanos Sardelli comenzaron haciendo tributos a bandas bastante conocidas como The Beatles y Creedence Clearwater Revival, lo que les permitió conseguir su propio estilo musical entre la música que disfrutaban escuchar y también cantar. Los tres son talentosos y se distribuyen entre la melodiosa voz de Patricio Sardelli, la guitarra de Guido y la batería de Gastón. Complementando un trio de músicos que además de ser talentosos tienen una gran pasión por escribir letras que te llegan al alma y así me pasó con uno de sus temas, tal vez uno de los más populares en su discografía.

They have a style of rock/alternative rock, hard rock, power ballads and even a bit of tango, which is very characteristic of their country. The Sardelli brothers started out paying tribute to well-known bands such as The Beatles and Creedence Clearwater Revival, which allowed them to develop their own musical style based on the music they enjoyed listening to and singing. All three are talented, with Patricio Sardelli's melodious voice, Guido's guitar and Gastón's drums complementing a trio of musicians who, in addition to being talented, have a great passion for writing lyrics that touch your soul. This is what happened to me with one of their songs, perhaps one of the most popular in their discography.

Nunca lo olvides es uno de los temas más bonitos y desgarradores que he escuchado, tiene una letra bastante fuerte y cuenta una historia guiada por el sentimiento de desamor, por el deseo de volver con la persona que se quiere pero las cosas ya acabaron y no se puede regresar el tiempo atras. La sentí como una carta muy emotiva de un hombre diciéndole adios a un amor que lo marcó de distintas maneras y que en la canción de alguna forma le intenta dejar saber lo mucho que significó esa relación. Es realmente difícil de escuchar y aunque suena a canción de desamor también puede sentirse como una canción que se escucharía cuando extranas a un ser querido que ya no esta.

Nunca lo olvides is one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking songs I have ever heard. It has powerful lyrics and tells a story guided by feelings of heartbreak, by the desire to return to the person you love, but things are over and you cannot turn back time. I felt it was like a very emotional letter from a man saying goodbye to a love that marked him in different ways and who, in the song, somehow tries to let her know how much that relationship meant to him. It's really difficult to listen to, and although it sounds like a song about heartbreak, it can also feel like a song you would listen to when you miss a loved one who is no longer there.

No sé si es que me agarró en un momento muy sentimental pero me dolió mucho escuchar esta canción, no por un desamor si no por la cantidad de cosas que puede llegar a hacerte sentir una melodía y a recordarte una canción con una letra tan sentida como esta. Quedé enamorada de la voz del cantante principal y de la forma tan bonita y tan natural con la que interpreta cada uno de sus temas, además el solo de la guitarra es otra parte de la canción que te hace sentir miles de emociones, es como estar en una montaña rusa donde te sientes al borde de las lágrimas. Realmente ame está canción y ya la he escuchado varias veces, me sigue pareciendo increíble la letra, la melodía y la pasión que tiene esta banda musicalmente hablando.

I don't know if I was feeling particularly sentimental at the time, but this song really hurt me, not because of heartbreak, but because of how much a melody can make you feel and remind you of a song with lyrics as heartfelt as these. I fell in love with the lead singer's voice and the beautiful, natural way he performs each of his songs. The guitar solo is another part of the song that makes you feel a thousand emotions; it's like being on a roller coaster where you feel on the verge of tears. I really love this song and have listened to it several times. I still find the lyrics, the melody and the passion that this band has musically speaking incredible.

Tienen otros grandes temas como Por mil noches, Verte de cerca, Cae el sol, Noches de insomnio, Todo Pasa..., entre las que he escuchado hasta ahora y me han gustado tanto como Nunca lo olvides, tienen una esencia de música actual mezclada con la nostalgia de bandas de los 80s o 90s y con ese acento argentino que hace que sea muy bonito escucharlos cantar y que vayan teniendo poco a poco la receptividad y la conexión con más personas de distintas partes del mundo. Pocas veces una banda causa esa impresión en mi, sin duda Airbag tiene algo especial, tiene el poder de hacerte conectar con sus letras y con las verdades dichas entre sus canciones. Les recomiendo que los escuchen y también si conocen otras bandas tan buenas como está en español, déjenme en los comentarios sus nombres para buscarlas. 🫶🏼🎶

They have other great songs like Por mil noches, Verte de cerca, Cae el sol, Noches de insomnio, Todo Pasa..., which I've listened to so far and liked as much as Nunca lo olvides. They have an essence of contemporary music mixed with the nostalgia of bands from the 80s and 90s and that Argentine accent that makes it so nice to hear them sing. Little by little, they are gaining receptivity and connecting with more people from different parts of the world. Rarely does a band make such an impression on me, but Airbag definitely has something special, the power to connect you with their lyrics and the truths told in their songs.
