ThreeTuneTuesday - Bond Theme Place 4-6

Hello Hive Music Lovers!,

Welcome to another #threetunetuesday created originally by @ablaze.

This week I have been listening to some James Bond soundtracks and it was hard for me to find my top 3 that I liked, so instead have managed to finalise my top 6 favorites. This was pretty good going I think because there are 24 in total and some are really great.

Narrowly in place 6 is the wonderful Lulu with the Man with the Golden Gun! Roger Moore seems to star in many of the top soundtracks and here he goes up against the wonderful Christopher Lee. As a child, watching this film was just amazing and such a great cue for a film. No top Bond theme tunes would be complete without The Man with the Golden Gun.

Things now start getting very hard to choose place 5 as the competition is very fierce. Again very narrowly Lani Hall takes the 5th spot with Never Say Never Again. This time we have Sean Connery alongside Kim Basinger in a pretty good Bond film. I am wondering why Sean was wearing eyeliner though.

After much umming and aahhhiing, the last song for this week and taking place 4 is Paul McCartney and The Wings. The song was also used very well in the Shrek films too. This time we have another Roger Moore Bond so he is leading so far 2 - 1 against Sean.

I think previously, there was never any doubt that Sean Connery was the best Bond, but I think Roger Moore did a great job. More recently I think Daniel Craig has been pretty good too.

I love never say never and the last part. I couldn't play the first part as it wasn't available to me.

I did enjoy the tunes listened to. I came across this on the Ecency post promo link when I dropped my link for today's tune.

I'd have to go with Sean or Pierce. Those were probably my two most favorite. Craig has been good, but it's a totally different feel from the earlier movies. It's more akin to that one guy who nobody ever remembers that was only in one movie. My top three songs... Skyfall, Nobody Does it Better, For your Eyes only.

Pierce was pretty good, thats true. I also love those 3 songs.. we will see if your song choices make it into the top3 for next week... i think there could be a surprise in there somewhere.

I have so many others. Goldfinger was probably one of my least favorite songs. The theme from Octopussy was pretty good. All time high. Didn't Tina Turner do one too?

Yes Tina sang from Pierce Brosnan .. Goldeneye! I quite like Octopussy too and Goldfinger... Simon Le Bon in a view to a kill is another classic one with Roger Moore...
Shirley Bassey sang Goldfinger well I thought.

yes he was in DuranDuran. I completely forgot about Madonna tbh! She has a tour coming up, but I told the wife I don't want to see her again! once was enough ! lol

I would have liked to have seen her maybe twenty years ago. Whenever she did the ray of light tour. She is just weird now. I like her older stuff.

The three you mentioned are somehow equally good for me...
If we discuss the Bond intro theme, I prefer Duran Duran's View to a kill...

I love Bond movies hehe and I'm not as radical as Matilda (@tengolotodo)🤣🤣 But without a doubt, my favorite is Sean Connery;)

Classics. I actually watched diamonds are forever at the weekend - which also has a great tune, but its not the best bond film ! I had completely forgotten the never say never again tune - to be honest its not my fav ! But live and let die has to be one of the best bond themes ! Mr McCartney storms it again !

Ah, great idea for a post, surprised no one thought of this before, some great Bond theme songs over the years, great movies. For me there is only one Bond and that is Seán Connery
