In 2015, while working in housekeeping at Ruparmandalar Resort in Mandalay during Myanmar's peak tourist season, I discovered Ellie Goulding's song "Love Me Like You Do."

Ruparmandalar Resort, catering exclusively to foreigners, mandated English language learning for employees. As an ordinary worker, I couldn't afford pricey classes, so I opted for a monk's English class at the cost of 3,000 kyats per month. The class led me to English songs, and "Love Me Like You Do" became a cherished soundtrack to my days at Ruparmandalar Resort.
