Artists have special moments that are given by themselves, and sharing them from Magazine Zone is a great honor for us. For this, we are grateful, from Music Zone, that we had the opportunity to talk digitally with @nahupuku. We chatted with Nahu about his life, his art, his music, the whole universe that surrounds him, and, of course, his presence in Hive.

Nahu Padilla Arbelaez Dager was born on May 7, 1982 (40 years old), he is a multifaceted man with a great personality, he is a musician, actor, artist, and writer. Nahu, a native of Caracas, Distrito Federal, Venezuela, is a graduate of the School of Arts of the Faculty of Humanities and Education of the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2007. He was a professor at the same University of the History of Plastic Arts and Visual Anthropology. He has developed his profession through the History of Art, as a Plastic Artist and Ethnic Researcher, Art Critic, and promoter of the conservation of artistic heritage. In addition, he has a Diploma in Human Rights for the Indigenous Peoples of Venezuela.

Nahu, nativo de Caracas, Distrito Federal, Venezuela, es egresado de La Escuela de Artes de la Facultad de Humanidades y Educación de la Universidad Central de Venezuela en el año 2007. Fue profesor en esa misma Universidad de la materia Historia de las Artes Plásticas y Antropología Visual. Ha desarrollado su profesión a través de la Historia del Arte, como Artista Plástico e Investigador Étnico, Crítico de Arte y promotor de la conservación del patrimonio Artístico. Además, tiene un Diplomado en Derechos Humanos sobre los Pueblos Indígenas de Venezuela.}

Since 2016, Nahu has had a tattoo studio in Caracas called Shamanas Tatto Estudio, a place where he receives the donations he gives through the Heroes Anonymous Foundation. Nahu is the director of the foundation, a work to help people in street situations, created in 2008, which has functioned until today. Padilla describes it more precisely:

"My Relief Foundation, Héroes Anónimos, is a foundation that carries out a non-profit charitable activity, whose purpose is to collect, classify and distribute donations, such as clothes, shoes, toys, medicines, food, and non-alcoholic beverages, which will be delivered to indigenous boys and girls in street conditions, as well as to children with cancer patients in various specialized medical institutions, and to people in street conditions in the city of Caracas (regardless of race, creed, gender, or political stance), and in the medium term throughout the entire national territory. This will be achieved through the participation of a group of volunteers encouraged to participate in these activities free of charge".

Nahu is currently best known for being the Director of PukuMundo, a blockchain 3.0 community within Hive. blog. He is a content producer, which he does through La Nevera Creativa, a music recording and audiovisual content creation studio.

<sup>Desde el 2016, Nahu cuenta con un estudio de tatuaje en Caracas llamado Shamanas Tatto Estudio, lugar donde recibe los donativos que entrega a través de la Fundación Héroes Anónimos. Nahu es director de la fundación, una labor de ayuda a gente en situación de calle, creada en el año 2008, la cual ha funcionado hasta la actualidad. Padilla lo describe con mayor precisión:

“Mi Fundación de Ayuda, Héroes Anónimos, es una fundación que realiza una actividad benéfica sin fines de lucro, cuyo propósito es recolectar, clasificar y repartir donativos, tales como ropa, zapatos, juguetes, medicinas, alimentos y bebidas no alcohólicas, los cuales serán entregados a niños y niñas indígenas en condición de calle, así como a niños y niñas pacientes de cáncer de diversas instituciones médicas especializadas, y a personas en condición de calle en la ciudad de Caracas (sin que importe raza, credo, género, ni postura política alguna), y a mediano plazo a lo largo de todo el territorio nacional. Esto se logrará, mediante la participación de un grupo de voluntarios animados a participar gratuitamente en estas actividades”.

Nahu es más conocido en la actualidad por ser el Director de PukuMundo, comunidad de la blockchains 3.0 dentro de Hive.blog. Es un productor de contenidos, lo cual lo hace a través de La Nevera Creativa, un estudio de grabación de música y creación de contenidos audiovisuales.</sup>

Padilla listened to music from an early age and his parents took him to concerts. At the age of 12 he began to play the cuatro and then the guitar. He says: "I always wanted to play the drums, but it wasn't until I was 20 years old that I started playing them; since I was young I played the guitar, bass, keyboard and some singing... everything was from a young age to think about something different from the illness and death of my grandfather and my struggle with cancer, tumors and radiotherapies". Like many musicians, Nahu is passionate about this art form, he is curious about what he is able to transmit and works in terms of expression.

^{Padilla desde muy niño escuchaba música y sus padres lo llevaban a conciertos. A sus 12 años de edad empezó a tocar el cuatro y luego la guitarra. Expresa: “Quise siempre tocar la batería, pero no fue hasta después de los 20 años que empecé a tocarla; desde joven tocaba la guitarra, bajo, teclado y algo de canto… todo fue desde joven para pensar en una cosa diferente a la enfermedad y muerte de mi abuelo y a mi lucha con el cáncer, los tumores y las radioterapias”. Como a muchos músicos, esta forma de arte le apasiona a Nahu, tiene curiosidad por lo que logre trasmitir, y trabaja en función a la expresión.}

Nahu recalls that he met the Blockchains in December 2017. Due to the crisis in his country, Venezuela, a friend of his, who was a tenant in his house, also a musician and singer, was on the blockchain, told him about the platform and that's when he was encouraged to enter. For more than two decades he has been dedicated to music as a performer, composer and content creator for web2.0 and web3.0. His musical career is currently linked to Hive, as well as most of the things he does.

Debido a la crisis de su país, Venezuela, una amiga suya, que fue inquilina en su casa, también músico y cantante, estaba en la blockchain, le hablo de la plataforma y fue cuando se animó a entrar. Por más de dos décadas se ha dedicado a la música como ejecutante, compositor y creador de contenido para web2.0 y web3.0. Su carrera musical en la actualidad está vinculada netamente a Hive, así como la mayoría de las cosas que hace.}

As a leader of the PukuMundo community she loves meeting new people participating in the community and in her Hive startup/timeline, seeing many new people participating is wonderful. Seeing new talent within Hive always seems great to him. From what he observes he gives his appreciation and advice to the new talents within Hive: "Be consistent and super detailed in what you present, every detail counts, from the background of the video, how you present your topic and that there is no background noise, practice as much as you can before recording and ask your friends or acquaintances the opinion of your final result before posting the material".

^{Como líder de la comunidad del PukuMundo le encanta conocer gente nueva que participa en la comunidad y en su inicio/timeline de Hive, ver muchas participaciones de nuevas personas, es maravilloso. Ver los nuevos talentos dentro de Hive siempre le parecen geniales. Desde lo que él observa da su apreciación y concejos a los nuevos talentos dentro de Hive: “Sean constantes y super detallistas en lo que presentan, cada detalle cuenta, desde el fondo del video, como presenten su tema y que no haya ruidos de fondo, que practiquen todo lo que puedan antes de grabar y pregunten a sus amigos o conocidos la opinión de su resultado final antes de postear el material”.}

From his perspective, he considers that Hive has a great impact within the music industry: "From Hive come out very good talents and it is important that the various industries of the recording world, look to this side as well". Like many hivers, he also has his expectations for the immediate future of Hive.: "Hive is a very consolidated project and will be with us for a long time, so we will continue creating quality content".

This digital conversation was bound to touch on the subject of the Hive Music Festical. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that he would make his debut entry this week, which corresponds to the third round of the 8th cycle. He introduced himself to the community with his peculiar PukuSaludo, addressing everyone as his PukuFriends. He recorded a drum session with his PukuInstrument, called Abyss. In the post he tells us a bit about how he created his instrument: "In the case of the creation of my drum set, I started creating it in 2008, with some indigenous percussion pieces that were given to me in that year, and I thought of putting together a whole giant percussion set, and it was for many years that I was collecting drums, saving and creating some pieces, with cardboard, and various real drum parts with hardware and I spent a lot of time assembling those pieces and buying others, for years, and taking advantage of the rewards of the Hive posts to go buying many parts of it, it really is a great achievement, and then I was training in gym and doing sports, to be able to achieve the physical condition and that my spine could withstand playing the instrument without pain, so I lasted years training and preparing my body to create percussion sounds, and to be able to compose unique pieces, combining or ethnic and progressive rock, so my songs are always particular."

Nos llevamos la grata sorpresa de saber que haría su entrada debut esta misma semana, que corresponde a la tercera ronda del 8º ciclo. Se presentó ante la comunidad con su peculiar PukuSaludo, dirigiéndose a todos como sus PukuFriends. Ha grabado una sesión de batería con su PukuInstrumento, llamada Abyss. En el post nos cuenta un poco sobre como ha creado su instrumento: “En el caso de la creación de mi batería, empecé a crearla en el año 2008, con unas piezas de percusión indígena que me regalaron en ese año, y pensé en armar todo un set de percusión gigante, y fue durante muchos años que estuve recopilando tambores, ahorrando y creando algunas piezas, con cartón, y varias partes reales de baterías con herrajes y dure mucho tiempo ensamblando esas piezas y comprando otras, durante años, y aprovechando las recompensas de los posts de Hive para ir comprando muchas partes de la misma, realmente es un gran logro, y luego estuve entrenando en gimnasio y haciendo deporte, para poder lograr la condición física y que mi columna pudiese aguantar tocar el instrumento sin dolor, así dure años entrenando y preparando mi cuerpo para crear sonidos de percusión, y poder componer piezas únicas, combinando o étnico y el rock progresivo, por lo que mis canciones siempre son particulares.”}
