Review of performances of my favorites from week 38

Week 38 was full of wonderful performances. It's impressive how, week after week, the competition grows in terms of both quantity and quality of entries. This is undoubtedly thanks to the moderators and those who are active in this community. It's admirable to see so many artists giving their best to showcase their musical talents and skills. Music is definitely an art form that has the ability to unite us regardless of our location, language, tastes, or culture. So, I personally feel privileged every time I participate with my bass covers. I like knowing that other people around the world, whether few or many, will see my humble performance.

What I want to highlight today is the performance of my favorite artists from week 38. Coincidentally, some of them lined up with the recently announced winners, and well, I guess that makes sense since they did a spectacular and outstanding job. There is no order of favoritism among my choices; this is not a top list.

I'll start with @javierduoiris, an artist I hadn't heard of until now. I saw on his feed that he hasn't shared many posts, which is probably why I hadn't noticed him, but it was great to discover him. This guy is one of those talented individuals who can do whatever they want in their musical genre. All they need is their guitar and microphone, and the rest just flows naturally. Javier gave us a great demonstration of his guitar skills and his refined voice with a cover of a Camilo song that has very unique lyrics. It was definitely an outstanding performance.

I continue with one of my favorite artists from the entire Hive blockchain, a guy who came to raise the bar in the Vibes competition with his disruptive voice and impressive guitar playing. @harbiter, along with his brother @elyavegan (Welcome bro!), paid tribute to the recently deceased legend Ozzy Osbourne with one of his iconic classics, War Pigs, a song from the Black Sabbath era. This is undoubtedly a demonstration of skill and creativity. Both were very original in style and performance. It's clear that they have experience in the world of rock and metal. Just watching them perform, it's obvious that we're dealing with two very distinctive guys. We need more artists like them on this blockchain.

@david.dicotomia is one of those users who masterfully expresses his talent with rock and metal gems, but with his unique voice. Honestly, I've never heard anyone with a voice like his, and that's something very valuable. You only need to listen to him for a couple of seconds to know it's him. This user is an old acquaintance who has always stood out with his performances in the different musical communities on Hive, so his talent and skill with his voice and performance don't surprise me. For week 38, this guy shared a cover of “Lachryma,” a song from the latest album by Ghost, a band I really like, and well, David, as usual, did a great job.

Another pleasant surprise was the participation of @erinhyvin, a girl I hadn't seen before either, and boy was I missing out on a wonderful voice. This time she moved us with a lullaby of her own composition in which she invites us to “step away from a fast-paced life and choose a slower, more intentional path.” These are the kinds of songs that we sometimes need to hear, especially those of us who are used to listening to rock and metal, genres that are undoubtedly more disruptive and radical. Erin stands out with her soft, beautiful, but firm arpeggios, which are certainly best listened to with your eyes closed for a better experience. On the other hand, her calm and well-trained voice is a spectacle in itself. I thoroughly enjoyed this girl's performance; she did a unique and spectacular job.

These were my favorite entries and artists from week 38 of the Vibes Web3 Music Competition, an event that brings us masterful performances every week and makes web3 an increasingly welcoming place for those who want to express themselves artistically and musically. See you in week 39. Big hugs!
