Three Tune Tuesday - In Tune with my TV Show Review of Mindhunter
It's still Tuesday here in my part of the world, so I'm still good, I believe.
So I'm joining again in this Three Tune Tuesday initiative by @ablaze.
Yesterday I wrote a review for the series 'Mindhunter'. You can read it here if you like:
Mindhunter: Just up my Alley
But anyway, the soundtrack of the show was really good, so I'd like to do this week's three songs about that.

Roxy Music - In Every Dream Home A Heartache
I've always loved Roxy Music, even as a child. This song fit perfectly in the series Mindhunter.
The text and song are a little eerie if you ask me, and it set the tone perfectly for Season Two.
More killings, more killers, more intrigue.
It's just a brilliant song to be honest. So this is my first choice for this week.

Song no. 2: Marianne Faithfull - Guilt
I had never even heard of this one before I saw the series, so I had to look up most songs one by one. There were some interesting music pieces, not all 70's, some were newer. I had never heard of the artist either. So it's nice to find this, I'll be looking at more songs from her.
One thing's for sure, the people in the series never felt any guilt for anything.
But this one is from that time, and I really liked it. I'm going to have to listen to it another few times, but as with the first song, it fit perfectly within the theme of the series.
There's something raw about this song. I can't really describe it, but that's what I feel when I hear it.

Atlanta Rhythm Section - So Into You
This last tune is just lovely and sweet. Nothing you'd expect to hear in a series about serial killers. However, when you know when it was used, it gives things a little bit of a darker undertone. I guess you'd have to watch it to know hehe. I won't tell. This one is from season 1, the others were in Season 2. I knew this song, but I haven't heard it a lot, and had no idea who the Atlanta Rhythm section were until now.

I hope you like my selection for this week's Three Tune Tuesday.
I'll quickly post it now, because it's almost not Tuesday anymore.
See you next time!

My Dad used to listen to Marianne Faithful. She used to have this gorgeous voice and I think she got all gravelly and croaky coz of drug use but don't quote me. She was just divine when she was younger. I mean was when she was older but ... Did you know she dated Mick Jagger? I remember this song, Dad had it on vinyl. Funny hey... You have taken me to a memory of him.
Listen to the Ballad of Lucy JOrDan. 1979 but such an 80s sound. Good loud or not at all.
Love Brian Ferry. He was so hot! Actually there's photos of my Dad when he looks like Brian Ferry.
Funny, because when I started looking for more of her songs, I did recognize the older ones. At first, I didn't believe it was the same person! Yeah, her voice was lovely then. I do like the raw voice later, but it's just different.
Mick Jagger...out of all people! Maybe that's where the drug use came about? It's not like the Stones didn't know how to party! My dad always used to say that Keith Richards was already dead but didn't know it yet. 🤣 And that was more than 20 years ago. Keith still running around.
Yes! I used to have such a crush on Brian Ferry as a young girl haha. He was hot. But he was also a little creepy. Maybe that's why I liked him LOL. I used to have a thing for guys that either looked a bit creepy, or like a junkie, or both. I was weird LOL.
I'm glad I could bring on another memory of your dad. That's the thing about music. It's universal.
Creepy skinny junkie guys... Haha same. I think it's our punk rock dark side hearts.
Defo certain the Stones were to blame!!! Google Marianne and Mick.. there's some great shots.
Not sure I edited this after your comment, as I added re ballad of Lucy JOrDan plus the pic of young hot dad 🤣🤣🤣
Apparently Mick always loved Marianne the best. Just went and reread about it... Defo stones influence, heroin, and years of laryngitis

Oh, your dad did look like Brian Ferry! Very handsome. (it feels wrong to call him hot hahaha).
I know, I feel so wrong every time I think that about that photo! 😂😂😂😂
Hahahaha. Well, he's your dad. You're allowed to say he was hot. But it might feel weird. I remember thinking about my dad's older picture that I had never seen before: Hmmm, not bad. And immediately thinking: EWE! LOL.
Oh Marianne <3
I haven't listened to So Into You in forever. Thank you!!
I've only just (re)discovered her! I didn't know they were the same person! She changed so much. But I guess that just happens when you're in the show biz.
