Hive music festival Week 140 Round 2 | Cover "A Dios le pido"

Después de unas cuentas semanas de ausencia en el festival tengo el gran placer de regresar para seguir compartiendo una de mis pasiones favoritas en la vida, me alegra ver qué cada día se suman nuevos músicos talentosos a este espacio y aunque yo de vez en cuando me tome algunos días de vacaciones, mientras pueda regresaré por estos lados.

Debo decir con sinceridad que mi día de grabación fue caótico, cuando pensé que tendría paz y tranquilidad el perro de mi vecina decidió que era buen momento para ladrar a todo lo que dar, además de eso muchos vecinos aprovechar para unirse al escándalo así que me tocó esperar estar en total silencio y además hacerlo en el menor tiempo posible porque tenía que atender a mi hijo, me habría encantado tener más tiempo para mejorar algunos detalles de afinación, alguna que otra palabra que invertí de la letra y otros arreglos en la guitarra, pero era esto o nada.

Juanes marcó una época muy especial en mi vida, su música era espectacular y cuando me colocaba mis auriculares me sumergía en sus letras tan bonitas que era imposible no repetir sus canciones una y otra vez y eso me ocurrió en estos días cuando estaba en la cocina, escuché muchas veces "Nada valgo sin tu amor", "gotas de agua dulce" y por supuesto "A Dios le pido", asi que no dudé en empezar a practicar este tema para el festival. No fué una canción fácil para mí pues siento que más de una vez me quedé sin aire ya que estaba cantando la parte del coro y eso me hizo sentir agotada, sin embargo valió la pena intentar porque es una canción bellísima.

After a few weeks of absence from the festival I have the great pleasure of returning to continue sharing one of my favorite passions in life, I'm glad to see that every day new talented musicians are added to this space and although I occasionally take some vacation days, as long as I can I will return to these parts.

I must say with sincerity that my recording day was chaotic, when I thought I would have peace and quiet my neighbor's dog decided it was a good time to bark at the top of his lungs, besides that many neighbors took advantage to join the scandal so I had to wait to be in total silence and also do it in the shortest time possible because I had to attend to my son, I would have loved to have more time to improve some details of tuning, some words that I inverted from the lyrics and other arrangements on the guitar, but it was this or nothing.

Juanes marked a very special time in my life, his music was spectacular and when I put on my headphones I was immersed in his lyrics so beautiful that it was impossible not to repeat his songs over and over again and that happened to me these days when I was in the kitchen, I heard many times “Nada valgo sin tu amor”, “gotas de agua dulce” and of course “A Dios le pido”, so I did not hesitate to start practicing this song for the festival. It was not an easy song for me because I feel that more than once I ran out of air as I was singing the chorus part and that made me feel exhausted, however it was worth trying because it is a beautiful song.
