Oblivion

A moment or two has passed since this event... Looking at this short video kept for all this time just on one of my devices, I see an upside-down boat, wrecked on the shores of an invisible sea.
What I perceive as a very nice feature is that instead of the darkness of the seabed, light enters through the glass fragments of the trencadís, and it may even seem surprising that such beautiful light actually breaks through where sombre should be the norm. It tells me that a tiny part of it wants to come out of sleep mode, from the oblivion where I store these videos and photos.

About the perceptions you get when you find yourself in this building, Ágora... If you stand there beneath its vault, you seem so small. Not to mention, if you sit, but even then, somehow the sounds coming from these two instruments filled the huge space. I can't tell whether the curved walls preserve the memory of this beast’s journey or represent a hollow body of a world that had long since sailed away. In any case, an excerpt of oblivion is flowing through the air, unfortunately, chopped in one moment because the person who filmed it (my son 😁) wanted to make a short recording out of it. Well, unfinished things tend to push us to continue sailing wherever the currents take us. 🎶

P.S. The piece you can hear in this super tiny video is a part of the composition Oblivion, written by Astor Piazzolla in 1982. It was scored for strings, bandoneón, and bells, but numerous arrangements and transcriptions have emerged since the original piece was written. Here we play it in our mandolin-piano version and it is a part of our current repertoire that revolves around the concept of world dances as seen through the eyes of classical composers.

looks like a building with a lot of echo in it , must be hard to get the acoustics right for the audience.
We had a team of sound technicians who worked to adjust everything before the concert. During the sound check the piano was too loud so we asked to be softer, however, later during the concert we realized the piano had to have a bit more volume. 🤷♀️ Not easy to tell them the exact level as if I play I hear myself through a monitor on the stage and not as the audience hears me haha. Anyway, I enjoyed a lot playing there ;) 🎶
What a beautiful place, so majestic and gorgeous!! Playing the piano there must be spectacular... that piece of music, that piece... from Argentina!!! Thank you!💗
Yes, sounds from Argentina, I thought about the Hivers with origins from that country 😉🤗🎶
Loved the place and the building, también el camerino que nos dejaron en el primer piso (un "camerino" con salón, tele, camas para descansar, cocina, comedor, baño... bromeabamos que nos quedamos para vivir allí 🤪🤣)
I didn’t know that composition, it’s so beautiful, and the scenery is a luxury!
The public seats are familiar to me... they are like those of the ULab. 😁
The whole piece is beautiful, from the first until the last note! Tenemos otra grabación de la obra completa, y la publicaremos cuando ya podamos hacerlo.
Haha, yeah, it seems it is now a fancy thing to make the seats for the audience in this way. 😆 It is also cool, but I would prefer people could walk around barefoot and have more comfortable cushions, or sofas, something like a relaxing way of listening to the concerts. Letting themselves sail on the waves of music, sleep or dream at the same time if they want, invent stories or paint on canvas during the performance...
Good evening @mipiano, a brief glimpse of memories and music that has left me in a meditative state... and with a smile... that's about the text. As for the recording... it must be wonderful to perform such a beautiful piece in such a spectacular place.
Have a lovely weekend.
Good evening @enraizar
Just a brief glimpse, it was my short video haha 😆
If we don't touch the hearts of others, if we don't make people smile, feel, make them embrace some nice memories or imagine, then... then nothing would make sense.
Thank you very much ☺️, have a lovely weekend you too! Prepared for tomorrow? 🤞🤞
Good evening again, @mipiano, you continue to make me smile... it's a very positive post, as is your comment.
Regarding tomorrow, the answer is yes; I'm ready. 😂
Ay ay ay... 🙈😂
Mi vecina de al lado ya colgó una bandera española a la barandilla del balcón. Confiemos en su esperanza 😜
Ay ay ay.... ya veremos. 😂
Feliz noche!!
Feliz noche @enraizar 😇
