New World Symphony

Yesterday I found out about a nice community here at Hive through the post of @Honeydue. I almost wanted to tag her now while writing on the paper, but hey, she wouldn't get the notification unless I type it in the post as well. So, hand written texts - what is that? An ability so rare nowadays as some of the endangered animals. Close to the complete extinction, writing with a pen or a pencil on a piece of paper is not a common thing to see.

Or to do.

Maybe not the best timing to find out this little corner.

And I am not a writer either.

But I wanted to try. To write even nonsense if it is needed, to keep walking while listening to some symphonies.

From The New World.

It sounds so dramatic! Maybe not the best timing for this music either but I already wanted to write a few words about the journey of this gift I got when I was in Prague. I bragged about it in one beer post, but now officially I can say also that the record arrived home safe and in ONE piece.

Luckily it was a bit cold there so I got many of the clothes from my bag wearing on myself. PERFECT. A bit of extra space for the vinyl to be squeezed into the backpack. That is how it also travelled to Poland, and later to Spain to be added to my modest vinyl collection.

At first I thought it would be a real challenge get that vinyl record home without it being damaged at any way. And I was wrong - it was not that hard. But what I am sure about is that the real challenge right now, in this post, was to read my handwritten text. Wasn't it??

Absolutely not! You have lovely handwriting!! Had no trouble reading :) And yay, it looks like it traveled very cozily (and it would need to, with such a long journey). I'm glad the record arrived safe - I was just thinking of revisiting the little treasure spot this came from. I shall take this as a sign :D So glad to see the vinyl made it and to see you in this lovely little community.
Hugs.

I am glad you are good at reading weird or clumsy handwriting 😂 as mine should be called that instead of lovely 😁
But yes, the vinyl luckily found its place in the backpack, which btw is not as wide as the vinyl so it was a miracle it wasn't damaged by the pressure 🤷‍♀

I shall take this as a sign :D

You should! 😋

Nice handwriting :) You made me wonder when was the last time I wrote more than one page... I can't even remember.
All I've been writing by hand in recent years are numbers—minutes and seconds when I'm editing videos that I need to export somewhere else... I'm ashamed 😐

Hey there 👋
I started to write with a relatively nice letter the first line or maybe two and then it went to worse and worse hahaha
It always happens like this. I write down the lessons in short notes what I have practiced with my students; in September it is okish and how the months pass there are words that even I can't read lol 😂
So, don't worry... but we should all write a lot more instead of typing

😂 Never too late. I knew about this community, but have not got myself together to write a post here. Your handwriting is lovely. Mine is not and my lines would not be so organized, but I think I'd have an occasion to show the community how I write and why I write like that.

I like the photos.

I had no idea that this community existed!!! And how beautiful it is to write by hand, in other times I always wrote my poems by hand.

You have a beautiful handwriting. You know? I studied graphology, you are a person who lives in the present with good values, honest and with a great imagination in all senses... you can see so much in people's handwriting... all their inner self.

I read handwriting perfectly, what I don't understand is English, but for the study of handwriting that doesn't matter. Hug!

You are a genius, you write in many languages!!! I would have to practice because my handwriting in English is more horrible than mine in Spanish!🤣

Not a genius, just life circumstances 😁
Hungarian is my mother tongue, and then Serbian is my second language. The next one was English and then Spanish came as well when we moved here :D

I speak... Argentinian and Spanish... oops it's the same, English I understand a bit but I only understand. Let's see if I practice writing, it could be a poem... for example.

You are a genius, not everyone has facility for 4 languages.

Good evening @mipiano, I am surprised by the existence of this community. The habit of writing by hand today is as exotic as listening to music on vinyl records.

I don't think I could participate in this community, I have a doctor's handwriting, unlike yours, which is very nice.

I hope you are having a great few days with your family.

A very big hug.

Good idea promoting the habit of handwriting, many need to improve it.

Yes, we all should try to get back to that habit... me first :)

I wanted to try it before, but I don't know why I didn't. 😅 Now that you tried it, for sure a lot of users here will do the same. 🥰

Long life for handwritten texts! It would indeed be cool to practice our handwriting more, and from time to time also publish some creations on Hive 😇

Nice catch, the community!

Sooo, which came first, the digital version or the handwritten one?

Yeah, thanks to the post of Honeydue I saw it :))

😂

Mixed. Some parts first in digital to be sure about the correct spelling but then the rest other way, and I liked it more - first on the paper and then type the same (and see that Grammarly wants to correct me 😂)

your mind! 😆😆😆 obviously 😉

I wondered, since at first I thought the same, paper than digital. Better for what the community is about, I think. That said, on paper, we (I) may need to re-write a few times when starting to redact and all. We are so used to the ease of adapting/changing words and sentences when writing in digital format. When going for paper, we need to think harder before we write. That in itself is interesting. I plan that order. And I may keep the spelling and such I have written by hand, and show the corrected spelling and grammar in digital format, ie both will not be the same, that is for sure 😆
