In Paradisum
Instructions before jumping here: Close your eyes and don't think. Just listen and be calm. That is needed for the music we are going to hear right now.
But dear readers, if you like, read this post first, which will probably be shorter than I usually write. My way of writing is anyway far away from the beauty that these sounds will bring. It just happened an hour or so (now already more) that I heard this piece and it reached me. You all know, we just simply can't explain some things in life, and maybe we don't even have to do that. Maybe art is here to give some explanation, or just calmly caress our souls, who knows? A mystery how the artists get the inspiration to create something and how we happen just to catch some of those vibes and where.
While I was in the car running some everyday things and errands, paying attention to the traffic lights, signs and quite dense traffic for this Friday morning, the National Spanish Classical Radio brought sounds from heaven. If you don't believe me, just hit the play button of the next video (but just when you finish with the reading part as this music indeed has to be digested without any distraction):

I asked my son to find out the composer so I can listen to it once again at home. It was a certain Ēriks Ešenvalds. Who? I have never heard of him. Why? Why, when it is so sublime, so magical and it was hidden all this time from me? My first impression was that we are flying with the stars, in a huge, endless space for unlimited time. The strings that made the ascents, the voices that brought closer the richness of the sound, the eerie parts that trapped our hearings. What kind of music is this? The piece is called In Paradisum. Everything makes more sense, of course as it is music from heaven.
At home, I immediately searched for the artist and the composition I heard in the car. Now, already listened to it several times and also found another beautiful piece.
In the description part of this video, I found out that this one was composed upon the text of a certain Sara Teasdale, her poem Stars. What the singers also highlighted:
We chose to record in the underground Westminster parking garage first for its acoustic, which gives the piece a stunning aural dimension. It has since taken on a deeper meaning and serves as a metaphor for those of us feeling increasingly trapped and isolated. We sing a song about the stars, 50 feet underground.
I leave it here, as I said I don't want to spoil this music experience with any further text. It's time to meet more music from this composer I was just given to hear. However, more daily tasks are waiting for me but a great thing is that music is like time. It is infinite.
The performance is truly unique, even though I'm not entirely certain what the words mean, but it has a certain peacefulness. It's almost as if they've chosen the perfect place - parking garage so calm enough to put on this show - it really feels quite realistic. Truly amazed by your music vibe!
Hey there @ahleap
The power it has, the music, is amazing, and sometimes we don't need to know the words. But, the text in the first composition is in Latin I think, and the second piece, performed in the underground parking garage is in English. The poem they sing is this:
source of the poem by Sara Teasdale - Stars
I am glad you liked the vibe, greetings :))
Hi, @mipiano
First, I followed your instructions to listen that sublime music and definitely you are right, In Paradise is a music from heaven! For that reason, I wanted to listen it again but, from my window and just looking at the blue sky and feeling no my face the calm breeze coming from the sea.😊The experience was a kind of complete peace. I really loved It.💕
And the second video was amazing, how it's posible to create beautiful sound From cups and the male voices were angelic. By the way, the parking garage was perfect to this performance due to the acoustics.
Thanks for sharing!🤗❤️🙏🏻
@zupasteleria :)))
How cool you listened first to the instructions :)) as I say, we can't listen to it truly if there is any distraction around. I closed again my eyes, headphones on, and let myself fly a few times more with the stars, somewhere in that heaven. Oh, wow, the blue sky and sea you have, the breeze - it's perfect. Thank you for this photo.
Yeah, music can be made with cups of water, incredible, isn't it? Plus the angelic voices... Crazy day to be hit by this music!
Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by 😇
Oooh! Just beautiful! Thanks for your good vibes @mipiano!☺️🙏🏻❤️
It is without a doubt a beautiful composition. I love those chnats. They sound Gregorian. The harmony makes everything sound like heaven is calling upon your head.
Hmm, yep, they sound like Gregorian chants, you are right. I need to learn more about this composer and his music, definitely :) 🎶
It's a beautiful composition!

💙 thank you for sharing the vibes!
I sat close to those cotton wools, breathing in the breeze coming off the sea. I was silent, without Ēriks Ešenvalds, without Sara Teasdale, just me and a thought that had a lot of light. Now I hear several times those strings, those voices, that peace and everything comes back even more vividly. As if I have the gift to live many lives, in many other bodies, nourishing and also receiving sweet vibrations from the skin to the soul.
I leave you some lines from El ojo de Alterius, my collection of poems.
... I still have the soul of a warrior
touched by the compass of the sky
that at times splits in two pieces
to show its scars.
Gracias a ti por toda tu dedicación y el amor con que siempre compartes e interactúas con tus seguidores. Ten un lindo fin de semana.
The scene by the sea is so beautiful, as well as your thoughts. (btw, that is a cotton tree? I didn't know it can grow that close to the sea.)
Un día leeré tu poemario, lo tengo claro :))
Yes, that is a cotton tree 😊
It reminds me a lot of Enigma (which is one of my favorites by the way), this can be a perfect background during the creative process, it stimulates focus.
I also like Enigma, though this one tends to fall into a more classical genre. But I see the similarity you found, it's the chant! The Gregorian style of singing is what makes the connection :))
You are right ma'am, music is like time and it varies with the time too
Thanks for the observation. I hope you liked the music too ;)
You are welcome. I love the music also and beside all, music is life no one can love music love🥰
I don't understand anything about this 😌
as it was written, I have a different perception about this.
I listened with my eyes open, and the second time with my eyes closed.
The difference is significant!
Listening with my eyes closed, I got the feeling that I was in a church. And this music seems to draw me up to the domes.
She pacifies and you become a small part of it.
Hey there Ludmila :)
The Gregorian chant is a form of singing developed in the 9th and 10th century, in the Roman Catholic Church. That is why you had that sensation when you had your eyes closed, it came in its real form to you :))
Glad you liked it 😇
I hope you are doing well... how is your back? You are getting better?
I am glad that my perceptions and feelings coincide with the form of singing!
And thanks for the clarification.
Thank you very much for taking an interest in my health, I am pleased 😍
But unfortunately this is not treated, and I refused the operation because it is a very big risk.
I have willpower, so I will learn to live with this pain.
The main thing for me now is that it doesn't get worse.

Cool :)))
Yes it is @mipiano! Have a nice day 😊👍🌹
The magical way you capture your readers is a high-level skill that should be studied by Post graduates or PhD students. 👏
The music is indeed phenomenal and heavenly. In all honesty, there are many great composers who we aren't aware of, and for some, their talent is still building up.
Aw, Ksam, thanks so much for your words, though I have my doubts hehe 😂
There's a lot to be improved here :D
The discovery of this composer came in quite an unexpected way, simply love this music. My son also got so hooked, he was trying to play by ear some parts of the In Paradisum composition last night.
I agree with you 100%. That's what I say @mipiano 🤗
Aw, guys!!! But there is a risk that mipiano user will become pretentious by these words and start writing just bad posts 🤷♀ 😂😂😂
I doubt user @mipiano would do such a thing, as in my short life on Hive I've noticed that she's quite the perfectionist. I don't think the quality of her posts would suffer even if she had two drinks too many 😂.
In fact, this would help bring out even more uninhibited writing. Since this is all about spreading vibes, your readers might even end up drunk. These are just ideas that come to me after breakfast.
LOL, it can happen indeed!!! 😱 😂 Drunk Spread the vibes post... spreading the content of % ...
I am writing right now btw, but I am still at part of making up excuses 😅
Beautiful music, I have read one of your comments about the meaning of this song, it is really amazing
It is, indeed :)
Glad yo like it @roronoa46 and hope you are having a great weekend? :))
Greetings :)
Thank you, happy weekend to you too 😊
Such beauty, definitely something that can't be heard only once. Thank you for this beautiful weekend gift. It is incredible the meanings that music gives us, personal and collective. Great post!!!
Thank you for listening, and yes, I agree music gives us a lot of meanings :))
I am impressed with this work, I understand why you were shocked when you were driving in the car. You are right, there is music that falls from the sky, creations that are not of this world, these two certainly belong to that category. Thanks for the recommendation.
Outstanding things sometimes come in unexpected way, so this composition came also in that strange way. Everyday situation - but marvelous music 🎶
I am glad you also like it 😊
I was so planning to listen on my Lazy Sunday Morning, and then life woke me up with a headache. Will have to put that plan on pause till tomorrow or later today but I´ll be back.
Oh, no, headache. I am having a similar thing, so I understand. This music will stay here, so no hurries 😉
So, who found out? Your son? Or you? I wish I had a kid I could task with all sorts of things I like to learn 😂
I thought you worked on an StV post? You forgot to include StV in this one, or still working on one?
Indeed, this is a beautiful piece of music. I do like it very much. Have the feeling I heard this or similar types of compositions before. Probably in movies or something. For sure bookmarked this one for more in-depth research 😉
It's kind of a teamwork, I heard, he searched and at home I searched for more :D
{hahaha, now you wanna say this is child exploitation lol} 😂
No, this was not an official StV, still working on that one, but you see, everything, in essence, is spreading the vibes!! The official response to your post will hopefully come today but we went out to eat and I had some 🍹. Ok, two glasses 😂 Who knows what I will write 😳
house slave 😉 😂 😂 😂
did I make invites? not the last one! ahhh well, Spread the Vibes guidelines are broken many times already so I suppose anything that has 'vibes' is an StV contribution 😉
a third maybe? have some 🍶
would be funny for others to know. not only would the phenomenon of 'future prediction' not exist anymore because we know what will happen in the future, but also the ability of 'us' to know the future outside of our own world becomes a reality. Interstellar squared? 😂
of MP :P
yes, 3 times, but luckily your memory and my laziness made them invisible... ;D
This last one is a free edition hahaha, it will stay for another occasion
