Clocks went forward...

...in other words, we slept one hour less last night... yay πŸ˜ƒ

...

(wrong emoji... this is what actually had to come πŸ˜’)

When spring comes, we can look forward to many nice things {I will let you know about all those benefits a bit later but I have to rant a little}. Right now I feel sleepy and my eyes are not very happy with the fact that it is everything so bright and shiny outside, and in the living room too - it has a whole-wall glass sliding door that allows all the Spanish sunshine to enter. Life is good and full of possibilities so I indeed have two options. The first is to put on sunglasses and the second is to close the shutters of the window and of my eyes... which would make me sleep another little siesta. One hour was robbed from our resting part of the day and the morning came too quickly. That additional zzzzziezta would come zzzzuper...

Ok, the complaint part of the post ends here, with the probability to fall back into some tiny rant during the rest of the positive part of the post {lol}. The very positive side of this writing is that spring has arrived a few days ago. It was Thursday when through a talk with a student we figured out that the season already changed, to that one which brings more life and colours, bees, and flowers and all of that springy things, you know. It was also very visible at my work this morning, as there were more flowers in the glass bowls all around. I went close to a little statue to consult how one can be more effective in many fields at the same time. There I took a seat while waiting for him to wake up and talk and in the meantime made a photo of the flower decoration. Finally, I heard the voice:

Do you want a drink or something? What can I serve you?

It was a tall, well-dressed young man, apparently offering me a drink. It would be maybe the most interesting part of this post, but the reality is that it was just the barman who made the same question to others too, who were chilling there after breakfast and waiting for the taxi after checking out from the hotel. I think I heard a similar offer sometime later today, so I had no choice but to take at home a little glass of herbal liqueur, with a few drops of lemon.

IMG_20230326_160557.jpg

Herbs. Yes, they are starting to grow now and that is one of those benefits of spring I promised at the beginning of the post to mention. Everything becomes greener and the trees will finally decorate their branches. I had a very good friend during my studies who liked to call this colour Benetton Green. It was our invented thing many years later, to search for baby leaves and send a photo of them to each other. I will do it with these two photos, as a reminder of how more than two decades passed but green leaves still grow every spring!

As another sign of spring, we can see that bees and little bugs are getting active. Yesterday afternoon, while we were in the mountain I looked around to see where all those subtle buzzing were coming from. One creature was found, he was taking a rest from his crazy flight. My head is spinning a bit now hahaha. πŸ˜‚

IMG_20230325_181324.jpg

Wrong photo... so this one, for the bumblebee:

IMG_20230325_181301.jpg

It is not a discovery, the blooming fruit trees, I know. They are now in every corner, announcing to us that cherries, oranges and almonds will come in some months. For now, we have just the flowers that have a really good scent. If there is anyone who wants to smell their scent, here they come. Just move a bit closer to the screen...

Were the green leaves, bees and bumblebees, and flowers nice? I bet they were! However, it is not all that spring can bring. This morning, even before the alarm woke me up I heard the chirping of birds. There are a lot of blackbirds at the place where we live and they usually sing happily in the dawn. But the little rant is coming now back - they are fast and no way I could make a photo of them! No visual presentation can come to round up this post... but, there is always a but! I know how we can hear them, and many other things that a spring can show us. Headphones or speakers would be needed now, as music is on the stage. Antonio Vivaldi - Spring, one of the violin concerts from The Four Seasons.

video source

This video explains so nicely what those sounds could represent, and the musicians indeed do it very well. We also hope that it was what Vivaldi wanted to transmit to us with this piece.

The fragrance of orange tree is something special, although they are just little white flowers hahaha. And indeed, it all changes the atmosphere.

Hey @vragolana
Thanks for stopping by and bringing more music 🎢
It's a nice piece, I know it, but the title in this YouTube video is wrong. It is not Chopin who composed the piece heheh

It is composed by another composer, Paul de Senneville :))

I totally heart your blend of rant and nature.

I almost got caught thinking we revolve around time and interest rates that some average jake flips like pancakes. Almost.

I totally heart your blend of rant and nature.

But it was just a tiny little observation, can't be even called a proper rant... blink blink πŸ˜‡

What beautiful flowers and Vivaldi's music transports me to that place full of flowers , birds and life, even the Pituky 🐈 here present , started making cat noises when the music started playing , just magical, on the other hand here skipped spring and almost went to intense summer , too hot for this date and the light that leaves you blind , today my friends were painting outdoors and they could hardly see because of the intensity of the light

IMG_20230325_111247-01.jpeg

Anyway I hope springs bring you a lot of inspiration for your music, and very good energy 🎡🎢🎼🌸🌻

Oh, Pituky, your cat, right? What did the lizard say about the music? (I think we will mention it in every comment hahaha) πŸ˜‚
I see, it's already a really hot summer in Cuba... But how are the winters there? The winters are mild, I guess?

That is so nice that your friends are painting on the streets. Sharing the creative process can be just even more inspiring for them and for the people seeing it. Muy chulo esto πŸ‘Œ Gracias por la foto πŸ˜‡

Almost there is not winter in Cuba , when it is 15 cercius degree we are freezing 🀣🀣 it is just fresh weather , you go to the beach πŸ–οΈ πŸ˜…πŸ˜… but in summer July and August it's really hot πŸ₯΅

Pffff that young man part got me 'whaaaat? ', then I continued reading.....

Hahhaha you weasel...

Adoring that dramatic piece, did you know that plants are enjoying classic music same as animals, it raises their productivity (studies prove so)... (:

Hahaha, just a barman πŸ˜‚

He could also ask : Do you need help to cross the street (znas, kad pomognes bakici da predje ulicu 🀣 )

I didn't know in detail about the effect of classical music on plants, but I did hear about giving concerts to animals! Kidding not! I wanted to write a post on that topic a long time ago, it happened somewhere in... oh, I will have to check if in Denmark or Belgium, I am not sure anymore, but it was an outdoor concert for cows ;))

I wish you a lot of classical music for your plants!! πŸ€

Ma kakva bakica, slap-slap! Me kvari mi ostatak priče πŸ˜‚

Yes, right it was an experiment with cows and how much their milk producing raised after listening to it.
Can't remember where I read about the plants, so far they are enjoying Enigma while I'm around, but does it calm animals - yes.
Years ago I had terrier, and whenever I had to leave without him, radio is been left on (mostly electronic music), he was making a mess in the flat, until once I found some classic music station, found him sleeping on his spot like a baby 0 mess around.

Accident experiment, but was working.

hahahahaha such a nice read!

I saw, I even smelled, and I touched the flowers! Maybe not in the normalised physical sense. Smelling isn't a physical phenomenon anyways {WINK}

That being said. I believe a dinging bird can make us happier to any music, even when it is considered a masterpiece. Can we conclude, birds are better composers and performers than humans? Yes... we can! However, the question is: Is that an honest and/or true conclusion? That is up for debate, for sure, but let's not go that path {LOL}

NJOY sping! {BOW}

ps You could decide to move to my country. Unlike in Spain, our trees get emptied every autumn. The colours are super bright, especially in spring and autumn. Anyways, just a thought ;)

I left this comment unresponded for two days, am sorry, there were some hectic schedules, but also I needed those two days to realize what are the dinging birds...

So, yes, birds can sing in a way that humans can't compose, but isn't the birds chirping actually their way of talking? Letting know other birds some things, could be funny, informative, serious, important or just small talk. So, in conclusion - birds talk in a nicer way than humans can compose hahhah (ok, this is just a joke lol)

NJOY sping!

Thanks, you too :))
