25% Tariff = 100% Trouble: Why Your Car (and Love Life) Costs More
Created using ww.canva.com
The Trump Tariff effect would make cars less affordable for most American citizens as their prices rise due to tariffs! One needs more USD to purchase cars now, as automobile prices are bound to increase due to Trump's tariff levy of 25% on automobile and auto component imports.
Customers need to spend more dollars to obtain a car now than earlier. This is the inflationary effect of Trump's tariff punches!
Love Don’t Cost a Thing? Not Anymore—Thanks to Trump’s Tariffs
So, having more money now is very important. This reminded me of Jennifer Lopez's song video – "Love Don't Cost a Thing."
She strips off her ornaments and sings that she does not want grand cars or her lover's dollars and money as she craves for her lover! It's obvious she made this song in times when there were fewer inflationary pressures and cars were more affordable to buy.
Now, in today's times, if your lover gifts you jewels, especially if they're gold jewels and ornaments as Jennifer's lover keeps gifting her, keep them!
Don't be a fool and throw them away! If he provides you with a car, drive it, enjoy the ride and be happy.
Economic Dominoes: Fewer Sales, Fewer Jobs, Harder Times
The problem now is that if there is less consumption of goods—since they are priced higher—there will be a decrease in production, manufacturing, and sales, which will lead to job loss for many people.
Therefore, if the man is unable to devote much time to his lover now, it's probably because he has to work double hard to earn more money to afford these things.

So, I feel it would be prudent for the lady in such a position now not to strip and throw off those nice articles of hers from ornaments to clothes as J.Lo does in the song video.
She should be less frustrated with her lover understanding the economic situation of current times, and preserve her passion for her lover, in which case she would express her love for him privately when they make love and all that, instead off stripping off clothes like J.Lo does. I feel J.Lo acting as an angry, frustrated lover is throwing off her passion as well, which looks very disturbing and senseless!
Holding On instead of Letting it Go!
Speaking of lovers, the lady Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is fated to meet her lover Will Turner just once every 10 years. On that day, she can spend time with him for one day from sunrise to sunset. The rest of the days, Will Turner has to ferry souls to the afterlife, sailing in the ocean until the world's end, being captain of a ship called the Flying Dutchman.
Here is another clip showing how these two got married, not planned and very action-packed in rough seas, storms, and in the middle of a sword fight with some sea monster-skinned two legged creatures!
So, some lovers have it hard, yet they choose to hang on having faith on their love.
Strong Love in a Weak Economy: Holding On Against the Tide
But this post is not about love and romance; it's about inflation and Trump's tariff playing a role in triggering it!
But since I have touched on the subject of love and money, let me finish it off with this song - it's called "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi.
For couples who believe in love, feeling love is priceless, even in a financial crisis, they will have sail together singing these lines -
*"We've gotta hold on to what we've got
It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not
We got each other, and that's a lot for love
We'll give it a shot" *
Going through tough times together tests a relationship. It shows if the partnership is capable of standing up to crisis situations. Supporting each other during tough times goes a long way while the couple remains loyal, patient, and dedicated to one another. Perhaps love will shine brightly for these couples, bringing out the best in them and strengthening their character.
However, many of us—including me—believe that money is more important than love. But I like to think it’s the other way around because, in the end, without love, there's no meaning in a relationship. We should definitely end such a relationship because love sets you free; it doesn't cage you with your partner's financial and other expectations.
We all want partners who accept us for who we are rather than being with us for practical reasons. There will inevitably be friction in such relationships, leading to fault-finding and fights—who wants that?
Perhaps it's better not to consider getting into a long-term committed relationship until we have the necessary finances required to not burden the other and avoid unnecessary complications. For, money is required too, yet our worth exceeds value of money for sure.
