Joy - Three for Tuesday
This morning I woke up to the sounds of sirens and public announcements telling us to take shelter. It was a perfect sunny morning with blue skies, but the announcement said that bombs could be landing and we should take cover.
My son said one of the wisest things in his life. He told me,
"Dad. I'm not so worried about school anymore."
I smiled. I kind of wish we didn't have to go to school too. But it seemed like somewhere in the national intelligence the message got mixed up. There wasn't a bomb as much as a satellite that failed to be launched into orbit. Pieces of it broke up and fell into the ocean.
At school kids asked me what the meaning of all this is. I don't think there is any big meaning except give thanks for the life you have now and the people you meet today. Then enjoy what you are doing because it won't be forever.
Joy - Naâman
Martin Mussard is Naâman, a French singer with a reggae tone in his voice. I love the sincerity in the music and the voice.
Hello - Joy
Joy is a singer from Black Pink. Her song is just, "Hello." It's something my kid's picked up when they spent some time in the states. The greeting was casual and friendly, "Hello. Have a good one." This song is sung in Korean, but contradicts the Korean tradition of formal and strict greetings. Instead of the trational formal "anyeonghaeo" the song is just "anyeong".
Ode to Joy - André Rieu
The Dutch Violinist André Rieu conducts this vocal ensemble's version of Beethoven's Ode to Joy. The song always sounds best in German. Check out some of the smiles and the Soprano.^^ It lifts you up into another world and that's where I want to be right now.
The words and picture here are my creation and belong to me @mineopoly. The youtube videos belong to whoever created them.
I think the best classical has always been in German; they know how to do it right.
"Hello - Joy" was quite fun to listen to, even if I didn't understand the words. 😂 She got the point across!
Thanks for stopping by @wwwiebe,
I was using reverse psychology on myself posting songs of joy. I think it worked.
I heard Ode to Joy sung in Korean and in English and it just sounds better in German. As for Joy's "hello", I'm not sure if she knows what she is saying either, but the point comes across clear. All the formalities in society just make it more difficult to understand each other.

Loving the Joy seeping out from this one I must say, and you are so right, we really do have so much to be thankful for when we think about it.
That's a tough one for you and your family to wake up to, and puts things in perspective, thank goodness it was a false alarm.
That Korean song you shared second was very happy and uplifting, but you saved the best for last with the uplifting Ode to Joy from André Rieu and friends.. Wonderful
