This is my entry forHIVE OPEN MIC #260, Sudden Changes! My username is @mfontom. I am doing a cover of JOY by Buchi.
The change that we need is that of changing from insecurity and wars to peace. The peace of God is what will give our world rest from all the turbulence rocking. If we will allow God to give us a perfect peace and calm all the storms in the world, we will have a happy and peaceful world.

I went to church one Sunday morning
and everybody was excited
they were dancing and rejoicing
you could see that they were happy

but in my world of pain and misery,
uncertainty and suffering
I was feeling so dejected
But I wanted to be happy

There was this boy in particular
his two hands up in the air
he was lost in concentration
but on his face he had a smile

that was my moment of decision
the next day I went to see the pastor
he spoke to me the words of Jesus
"Come and I will give you rest"
