I'm getting ready for a really special concert that I'm holding tomorrow in Mantua. I'm an Italian musician, and unfortunately, the music business is full of traps. So much so that I managed to produce an album without spending a dime, but I had to practically stop my entire music production for three years. I kept distributing singles with VSAdviceMusic, who are also friends, but the most beautiful songs I had written remained blocked. I couldn't reproduce them or propose them to another producer. In short, I was stuck.

But as I said, I didn't give up, and finally, the publishing contract has expired. Now I can record my songs again as I want. Tomorrow I'll record the first and second of the album that will be part of the next album that will probably be produced by Vittorio Magro, indeed certainly.

Anyway, since I've been practicing these days and now I had to put away the guitars, I'll use two guitars simultaneously in stereo, one on the right and the other on the left. I had already experimented with this; it was a message that I wanted to send to people to say that there is always an alternative. We don't have to live like slaves. Look at me playing two guitars together. Do you believe that we can really be free?

But everyone thought that I wanted to put on a show, and I put the idea aside, but now here it is again.

To relax, I have the habit of listening to acoustic music. Rummaging through my library, I discovered an old Leo Kottke album. Kottke's peculiarity is the sound he gives to the guitar. He then adds these really crazy banjos, many of which are tuned to gut strings instead of steel, so they have a powerful sound, almost claiming the position of the primary instrument. In short, Kottke hits us hard. I recommend you listen to him!"

Mi sto preparando per un concerto molto particolare che terrò domani a Mantova. Sono un musicista italiano e purtroppo il mercato musicale è pieno di tranelli. Tanto che sono riuscito a produrre un album senza spendere un centesimo, ma ho dovuto praticamente arrestare la mia intera produzione musicale per tre anni. Continuavo a distribuire singoli con la VSAdviceMusic, che sono anche amici, ma le canzoni più belle che avevo scritto rimanevano bloccate. Non potevo riprodurle o proporle a qualche altro produttore. Insomma, ero in patta.

Ma come ripeto, non mi sono arreso e finalmente il contratto editoriale è scaduto. Ora posso registrare di nuovo le mie canzoni come voglio io. Domani registrerò la prima e la seconda dell’album che faranno parte del prossimo album che probabilmente verrà prodotto da Vittorio Magro, anzi sicuramente.

In ogni caso, siccome ho fatto le prove in questi giorni ed ora dovevo mettere via le chitarre, userò due chitarre contemporaneamente in stereo, una a destra e l’altra a sinistra. Lo avevo già sperimentato, era un messaggio che volevo mandare alle persone per dire che c’è sempre un’alternativa. Non dobbiamo vivere come degli schiavi. Guarda me che suono due chitarre insieme. Non credi che possiamo essere liberi davvero?

Per rilassarmi ho l’abitudine di ascoltare musica acustica. Rovistando tra la mia libreria, ho scoperto un vecchio disco di Leo Kottke. La particolarità di Kottke è il suono che dà alla chitarra. Aggiunge poi questi banjo veramente pazzeschi, molti accordati su corde di budello invece che di acciaio. Quindi hanno un suono prepotente, quasi a rivendicare la posizione di strumento primo. Insomma, Kottke ci picchia. Vi consiglio di ascoltarlo!

nsomnma Kottke ci picchia, vi consiglio di ascoltare in cuffia, perchè l'effetto degli strumenti è spaziale.. ci sono quelle chitarre che spazioano nel vero senso della parola.
