Tuned In: "Way Back Home" & Other Ringtone Memories
I'm one of those who could have a ringtone for so long that everyone around would stop wondering or being curious about the reason for using the ringtone. Having one particular ringtone for over a year for me means, I'm used to the sound so well that I don't react to it as excitedly as I did when I first made it my ringtone but I still love it.
It's with the different ringtones I've used over time I came to realize a bit what it means to love and keep loving even when the excitement is no longer there. On days I actually want to connect with my ringtone, it gets exciting again. But most days since after a year of using my favourite sound, I just pick up my call, unlike me before.
I remember my first ringtone on this phone of mine, it was the exact same ringtone in my old phone but I couldn't part ways with it even though I kinda had this syndrome of "New phone, new everything inside" lol. Well, that syndrome didn't work on my music selection for my ringtone, it actually got more exciting for me using it again.
I got a lot of comments from others because of that particular ringtone, it was "Scars to your beautiful" by the artist, "Alessia Cara". One of my favourite songs from her and I actually picked the song at first because it had a good and lively opening, to alert me well that I have a call no matter how low the tune is except it's on silence.
Most of the comments I got on this ringtone was simply "When will you set a new ringtone?" and that's because they felt I was getting too used to the tune, what they didn't know was that it was just fine that way for me. The song acted like a reminder and made me feel good about myself over a long time by listening before I pick up.
Well, after a long time, I came across a song that until now, I'm not sure when I'll get to change it from my ringtone. It's a song that says a lot about what I want to think as often as I can... "Home and the peace I crave for". There's nothing as great as being happy and in peace even with the little you have, this song explores that for me.
I first heard the song in a clip, a Korean song by the artist "Shaun" who I wasn't familiar with but he won me over with just this song. It got even more exciting for me and my love for it grew when I saw an English mix of the song led by "Conor Maynard". So it plays english first before the Korean language when my phone rings.
I've had only had to set a few ringtones but over all, my present ringtone "Way Back Home" and the one before (Scars to your beautiful) beats them all. I've never had an embarrassing ringtone since I've always been cautious of the music I set on my phone. But I've had old default tones play when I can't seem to decide a tone to select.
Talk of a song that just fits me so well, it's a song with English and Korean, a language I've been loving. Then it's a song about Home, love and peace... A perfect blend of beauty and sweet imaginations before I pick up a call, good or bad.

I was so bad that I used only one ring tone even after I changed my phone and it’s a song by T pain, if it was possible to set it on my iPhone, I would but I don’t think that’s possible 😫😫😫
Lol iPhone rejected the song? Wahala for iPhone users.
Hahahaha!! I Have used one particular ringtone from when I got my new device until I changed that device. I don't just feel like it's anything to me. Although there are people who love changing their ringtones.
Yeah, to some, it isn't anything but to some, it means a lot the kind of song we set as a ringtone.
Scars to your beautiful is an amazing song. I would usually stick to a song for so long before I changed it, and my selection always gave me the right vibe. Right now, it's all on silent.
It really is... We're not that different in this aspect.
Tor, Korean people 🙌
I'm that person that once I find one suiting ringtone, it stays with me forever....like the one I'm currently using 😎
Lol what happened to Korean people, Mr Nigerian 😂
So you plan to do a forever with the one you are using now? 😂
