Three Tunes Tuesday With "HWASA" Melody
Going about my usual routine checking out for new songs release brought me to this artist. I'm still a bit sad that I didn't know of this artist until now, she's one of a kind and her songs are definitely a must listen. Hwasa, originally called "Ahn Hye-jin" is a South Korean singer, songwriter and television personality, aged 30.
Fun fact: She celebrates her birthday a day before mine. I felt some kinda joy knowing that.

I came across Hwasa through a recent release of hers that she sang at an award ceremony. The video has been trending for weeks and I get so many of them on my page to view whenever I visit Tiktok or YouTube shorts. Why it became so popular is the planned stage performance with Park Jeong Min, an actor that got people excited.
Since I kept getting short clips of her 2025 song release, I decided to check out more of her songs today and #ttt was where I thought of immediately to come spread the word about a good artist I've found. Here are three songs I loved from first listen starting with my favourite.
"Good Goodbye" is a breakup song but I'd bet you won't think of it as one when you listen to it for the first time. I don't know how she pulled off such a breakup song without sounding sad or depressed. Even the lyrics says so much about being there for oneself after the goodbye, she proved with her song that there's a good goodbye
My favourites about this song is the mv with Park Jeong Min that I think is very classy and felt like I was seeing a series with the main leads everywhere. Another favourite is the stage performance she did at the award ceremony, I feel it was what made me love the song more.
With that awesome release, I figured I was in for something nice to listen to if I should just check out for more of her songs and this song "Ave Maria" isn't a disappointment for a first time listen. How do an artist grab a listener's attention without actually trying to? Because that's what Hwasa did to me with this song of hers at Spain.
I'll have to listen to the song more to say more about the song but a first listen is an important moment and she totally nailed it in my head with her voice and the back up singers did great on this one. I won't say more, do listen to it already.
I almost screamed when I saw this one, it's the third recommended on YouTube after searching for Hwasa songs. I've seen "Henry" in a series I loved so much but didn't try to check him out to find out he's a multi talented actor and singer. This duo with Hwasa was a combo I never thought I needed to listen to, got totally hooked.
"Always Remember Us This Way" is a sad song but the voices didn't let me feel sad listening to it, all I could hear is the connection they had with the song and their voices blending so beautifully.
If you've not listened to Hwasa before, this is your chance. She's a korean but sings a lot of songs in English so it's for anyone to check out and see if their kind of song is in any of her album. And that's it from me for the three tunes Tuesday.
