For sometime now, I've been seeing more reasons to pray not just for myself but for my family, friends and even those I don't know. I'm not the big praying type but I do know the importance of prayers and how far one can go when they are being prayed for. I'll like to say it here "I want to have more people praying for me".

I see praying for someone as a form of love too, you show that you are in for the greatness of the other person. You want to see people succeed so you pray for them, having more people who pray for you makes the struggles of this world less heavy for you to carry through so when you know any who is doing that, always appreciate them.

Praying can be done in any way, kneeling, pressing palms together and closing our eyes to say our prayer is the most used way but this song I came across recently opened my eyes to many more ways you can say a prayer for someone and you'd be glad you did. The song included "Saying a prayer for someone during coffee breaktime".

As little as a few words of prayer, it goes a long way and has no distance barrier to hold it back. It's an easy thing to do but somehow, our world today find it very difficult to do. Some don't even pray for themselves anymore but this song serves as a reminder to us that we all need someone to pray for us & we praying for others.

A song I first listened to in the animated movie "Sing 2" but didn't pay much attention to it's lyrics or the original, I just enjoyed the vibe and the beauty of the characters who sang in the movie. Over two years after, I came across a clip of the song that led me to download the original, listened to it and learned more about the song.

"I Say A Little Prayer" is a 1968 song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Dionne Warwick (the original) but was modified and sang even more beautifully by "Aretha Franklin". It was yesterday I found out that the song by Aretha was only a version of an original. I still can't get past the shock when I heard the original.

It's a song written to express a woman's concern for her partner serving in the Vietnam War. I never knew of a war that happened there but I do know how scary it is to live everyday when you know a loved one is at a war zone. The woman expresses her fear through prayers and she does it regularly and countless, as a love form to him.

The partner may never know how much she prayed and how easily she did wherever she goes or in whatever she is doing but if he came back safely, her prayers worked and that is all that matters. We may not know them but we should create ways to have people who will pray for us, not curse or hate on us. This goes to say that we try to live right and pray for others around too.

I love this song.... And sometimes you don't always have to kneel, close your eyes and be in a quite place to make a prayer. It can be in different ways. Have a nice day Merit

That's it, making it easy to have a praying habit. Thanks Meya.

Personal prayer is important but having people who intercede for us in prayers speaks a bigger volume

We need such people and appreciate the ones we already have.
