RE: Che fai se l'IA fa arte meglio di come la fai tu?

I don't disagree per se.. BUT, there are artists out there who kept on doing art just because it kept them sane. I'm a musician too, I don't know if people know that about me anymore. Released albums and everything when I was younger. So yeah, its about getting validated by your peers, appreciated, leaving a footprint in the sand, so to speak.
But also, I wrote all those songs because I was broken, and I was trying to find myself in between chords and rhymes.

Totally agree with you! I was talking in general, also to keep the video relatively short, so I couldn't explore every aspect of why we do art.
Maybe the search for validation is one of the reasons I resonate the most. I mean, I play music because I just like it in the first place, I feel good in the exact moment I do it.
But then, right after that, what I'm looking for is the joy of knowing that someone is listening to my music and they're appreciating it, they're getting emotions from it. That's the thought that really pushes me forward to keep doing and trying to promote it 😊
to address your initial point... AI will never make true art. In the same way that VR sex will never make babies. So am I worried? not really. I think eventually an opposition movement will take over. A movement that values raw notes, imperfect vocals, flawed humanity.
non puoi emulare completamente ciò che ci rende umani
That's exactly my thought about AI in music.
Ai-made music is just for people who don't care about music in the first place. Those that are getting more damaged are musicians who make a living by producing music for commercials, games, movies and media in general. You know, those places where music is not the main thing, just a side.
