Theater
Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've posted here. But I want to share this experience with you.
Last Sunday we went to the theater. We took our daughter to see her first play for 16+. We went to the headquarters of the group "El ciervo encantado" it was also the first time we visited them.
The venue is located in the Plaza de la Revolución district and is, according to many, the best alternative theater in Havana. Its stagings are...very unconventional, even its decor is.
The show started at 5pm, we arrived much earlier, few people were waiting for the start time. The staging was a performance that is the thesis of the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) of both authors. One of them, composer of the music that accompanies the performance, is the son-in-law of a friend. Through her we got to know that this would be the last day on the billboard.
Our first surprise of the evening..."Pata de Palo", a beautiful cat on the theater box office. Everyone was cuddling and petting him. It reminded me of an excellent post by @fotostef that I read the other day. This feline, is living proof that cats rule the world. According to the lady in charge of ticket sales "Pata" is not a pet, he is the KING of the place and that's just how it seemed to all of us.
At the scheduled time we went in. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures inside. We enjoyed a play loaded with strong social criticism, exceptional theatrical interpretation and superior electro-acoustic music.
It was my daughter's first time in an adult theater. She understood the tough message and was pleasantly surprised with the performance. She loved the music, it's a genre that she likes very much.
I'm glad we chose this piece to be our daughter's first theater experience. We will surely be back very soon to enjoy other performances.

"Pata de palo" is charming XD.
That theater group has a very original way of doing. I've never been to their venue before, but I'll be back for sure, it's worth it.

The message of the play was really strong, the acting and the music were spectacular.
How good that your daughter liked the play, even though the topic was more serious. Haha, and the cat, did you give him the money for the tickets? :D
Yess, "Pata" is the owner and master of the place 😁.
I went today to the cinema and the owner of it has a dog. It also made it into my photos 🐕 :D

I like theater very much. The times I've gone have been with nanixxx, I live far from Havana...I wish I could go more often. You are so close to the actor that we enjoy the plays to the fullest. What a nice experience for your daughter. Thanks friend. Also the photos are excellent. Nice weekend.😀
Hi Mamani, theater is an intense experience and if the play is good, enjoyment is guaranteed. It is a pity and a reality that theater is little developed outside Havana, with some exceptions of course, but in your place of residence it is unfortunately non-existent. When you come back you have to tell Nani to take you to that theater we went to. Hugs 🤗
