It really was

Hello community! The weekends invite us to do activities that disconnect and de-stress us from the workload.

These days I received publicity for an event to be held on the evening of Saturday, October 14. "The Magic Night", a craft fair...in an open air place at night and with a live DJ? 🤔

I confess that with some hesitation we decided to go. With my husband, my brother-in-law, his wife and three friends who joined the group we arrived around 7:30 in the evening.

The event was taking place in a beautiful place, La Quinta de los Molinos. It is located on Carlos III Avenue, one of the main arteries of our city, in the Centro Habana municipality.

It is an oasis in our capital. Its gardens are amazing, I have visited them on other occasions, but always during the day. The darkness of the night did not let you appreciate the beauty of the vegetation that abounds there.

Although the fair was set up outside of its most visited areas, the chosen place was just as nice. I was surprised to see that it was super crowded. The diversity of people was amazing. From children to the elderly, everyone had their space and enjoyed themselves in total harmony.

The lighting was not the most suitable for the artisans present. Despite this, everyone managed to achieve visibility for their products. Creativity was everywhere. Several well-known brands from the national market were represented. I walked calmly through all the stalls.

I love handicrafts and I like to exchange with the creators. Usually it is representatives who are in charge of sales, but in this type of event they usually attend personally. It is a unique opportunity to exchange with their public and for us to meet them. I will dedicate a future post to the things I could appreciate 🥰, so I will skip those details.

After finishing my tour I joined the others. The musical part of the night started with happy hours and 90's music. Wow, it had been months since I had danced! The fun lasted until after midnight. Music from all eras and genres. For all ages and tastes.

There was a really unique moment, young people, seniors, foreigners and nationals united in a great choreography. Music and dance connected us and happiness multiplied all over the place. We spoke for a few minutes the same language and lived in the same era, to the rhythm of the music of the Bee Gees and their iconic song Night Fever .

It was a "magical" night, just as the publicity for the event said. I would definitely do it again.

I hope everyone has released the pressures of the week in the best possible way and that this one that begins is happy and profitable.

Thanks for reading, see you next time.

I was surprised to see a fair by night. In my country, the fairs are during the day and after that come the parties. But I see this was nice.

Hi Erikah, I was surprised too . I even doubted the quality of the event 🤭, but luckily I was wrong 🤩. Here they are usually held in the daytime just the same. That space celebrates a night like that every month, it's something they have implemented recently. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. Happy day.

I suppose that it is too hot during the day and that was one of the main reasons for having a "night fair"... But, it looks like it was a perfect fit with the music and the dance floor!

Thanks for sharing!

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!

I think that must have been one of the reasons for holding the event. It's a very good idea, the perfect combination.

Thanks for stopping by, commenting and for the support 🥰.

I'm glad to see that these spaces are being reactivated in our city for enjoyment, and to connect with people with our same interests. It's been a long time since I've seen something like this.

A hug @mdrguez. I can see that you enjoyed it very much.

The most striking thing about the place is just that. Despite having people of all ages with obviously different musical tastes we were able to connect and enjoy all kinds of music.

I even danced to reggaeton...which I don't like at all 😅. A hug back.
