If they are animated, even better!
Hello, it's my first time in this community and I'm glad to do it with this initiative. I'm not a fan of music videos, but I like those that keep me in front of the screen for their aesthetics or their script.
I confess that until a few years ago I didn't stop to analyze a video clip with too much interest, but since I lived the process closely I recognize all the work behind each one. It takes a lot of time and effort to make a good visual product.
With so many possibilities to choose from I decided to make my selection by letting my mind wander. Like a film projector, I set my thoughts in motion and stopped on the best frames.
The first one that came out of my storehouse of images was "Take on me" by the Norwegian group a-ha. This video is spectacular. Actually the idea is very simple, but adapting it to a clip made it at the time very original. As a curious fact, the song had already been released as a single, but it was almost unsuccessful. Then the group decided to make a second release accompanied by a video clip and the single became a resounding success, proving that the visual support was undoubtedly the catapult to it. The director of the clip Steve Barron, who by the way is the same who directed Maikel Jackson's Billie Jean, took a couple of weeks to film all the scenes while the animators took 4 months to finish theirs.
The video clip for Peter Gabriel's song "Sledgehammer" is one of the best videos ever, according to Rollins Stones magazine. Also released in the 80's, it is made with the stop motion technique. With a surreal aesthetic and a subtle sense of humor, its 6 minutes are not boring at all. It is a sequence of movements, shapes and colors that keep you captive.
It was during the pandemic that we found the Argentinean group "Siamés" and everyone at home was amazed with their music videos. This is also an animated video, but using traditional drawing and is more recent, from 2017. The lyrics of the song talk about addictions and the video tells the story in a very creative way. Script and realization complement each other perfectly bringing to us the message of desperation of the protagonists through the excellent drawing and animation.
Finally I bring my favorites, they are undoubtedly those made by my daughter @anima-shot. I already talked about them once, but this time I will limit myself to invite her to this initiative to tell you about her experience as a creator.

Hola!!

Good afternoon @mdrguez we remind you that to participate in the initiative and be eligible to enter the draw you need to invite at least two people to it and you only mentioned one. On the other hand try to leave the direct links to the sources, especially those that correspond to the cover, where you got each image, and place the link below it or at the end, the more visible the sources the better, we would appreciate you fix those details. But all the same, everything is correct. Thank you very much for your participation in the initiative!
Hi, the source of the cover images has been fixed. I thought mentioning them at the end of the post would be enough, I apologize. And I also added my second guest, greetings.
Gracias nuevamente!!!💗

Welcome to the community... I'm really enjoying this initiative... Hope to see you here often.
Thanks for the welcome 😊
First of all welcome to the community and thank you for participating in this initiative, we are glad you are part of YouHive.
On the other hand you have selected a music video that has been my favourite during my adolescence, and it is the case of the first one, although all three are magnificent. As you mention, these videos for the graphics have a lot of work behind them and, although they are a bit old in history, especially the first one, they are very original. I love art and therefore this kind of videos. Your choice and taste coincide with mine and the details you have mentioned for each one of them as well.
In the last case, I didn't know it but it's spectacular. I thank you again for your participation and you can do it as many times as you want. A big hug!

🥰🤗
Tenes una hija muy inteligente, te felicito!!🤗
Oh Amanda how I enjoyed the first video. It's one of the ones I've always loved... it really has magic. And yes, it's a video that must have taken a lot of work to make with all those drawings. Even though it's old, it doesn't lose its relevance. It's a classic!
The second one made with stop motion I've never seen before... it's funny.
And I loved the third one as soon as I saw how it starts!
