En mi juventud, era un fiel consumidor de música electrónica, especialmente del vocal trance, géneros como el power metal y otros más guturales me desagradaban un poco pero eventualmente los escuchaba con mi hermano, por alla por los 00’s empezó a sonar por mi tierra un grupito alemán que hoy en día es muy reconocido, si no han oído hablar de Rammstein, esta es una banda de metal industrial que en muchas ocasiones fusionaban algunos sonidos y ritmos propios de la música electrónica que atrajo mi atención, para algunos, esto pueda parecer una simple historia, pero Rammstein ganó seguidores por medio más primitivos que los actuales, tales como los CD, casetes y uno que otro mp3 player de 512mb; Existía el internet y era hermoso porque permitía el acceso libre a bases de datos por métodos p2p o en mi caso que escuchaba música por las emisoras pre-configurada en Winamp. La suerte de vivir toda esta experiencia fue producto de mi intolerancia al “baby one more time”, intolerancia que me obligó a buscar alternativas más originales que al final me consiguieron.

Volviendo a Rammstein, pensaba que el grupo era el punto medio entre mi parte electrónica y mi partecita metal. Reconozco que las modas van y vienen porque cada par de décadas se reinventan y renacen en algo que evoca el sentimiento de esa población que estuvo ahí cuando apareció. Hace una semana me topé con el chuchuchu... de Tekkno Train y desde entonces no he dejado de escuchar su particular sonido; por eso me gustaría compartir los temas más actuales e impactantes de esta particular banda que revivió ese interés que tuve de joven por gastarme los oídos con su música.

Que les puedo decir de esta banda… ¡Hoo! son también alemanes ¿Casualidad? Esta banda alemana ha cautivado a muchos en estos últimos 4 años, a pesar de tener mucho tiempo conformada y de trabajar con estilos progresivos y de nu-metal, no fue hasta 2021 con el disco MMXX que desarrollaron el sonido que hoy les quiero compartir. Es que al escucharlos es difícil evitar una reacción de asombro tanto en la primera como en la segunda vez que lo hacen. Si se imaginan lo difícil que es contagiar a las masas con la música, es posible que tengan una idea de como esta banda, por ensayo y error, consiguió los seguidores con los que hoy cuenta, me baso en lo poco que he escuchado de este grupo de antes de 2021, noto un parecido con bandas que presidieron el un-metal tanto en estados unidos como Europa, pero últimamente ha tomado algunos elementos asociados con los 90’s, 80’s y 00’s y los mezcla con una bases de techno , hardstile y metalcore progresivo industrializado. Las letras no se quedan atrás, estas tocan temas actuales desde la sátira o el absurdo, evocando el doble sentido en algunos casos.

Electric Callboy, en mi modesta opinión, cumple una suerte de Scary Movie musical, porque vamos a reconocer con facilidad sonidos que casi nunca estuvieron en contacto, combinados y actualizado a los diferentes paradigmas de la sociedad actual, resultando en una obra divertida, emocionante, contagiosa y original, dentro de lo que cabe; una obra que hará bailar a tu corazón y a tu cuerpo cada ves que las escuche y cuando no te hará pensar en sus letras. Me pregunto, en que ostia estaban pensado estos fieles cuando emprendieron esta campaña. Sin más preámbulo les presento a continuación a:

A week ago I stumbled upon Tekkno Train's chuchuchuchu? by Tekkno Train and since then I haven't stopped listening to their particular sound; that's why I would like to share the most current and impacting tracks of this particular band that revived that interest I had when I was young to wear out my ears with their music.

What can I tell you about this band... Hoo! they are also German... Coincidence? This German band has captivated many in the last 4 years, despite having long formed and working with progressive and nu-metal styles, it was not until 2021 with the MMXX album that they developed the sound that I want to share with you today. It is that when listening to them it is difficult to avoid a reaction of amazement both the first and the second time they do it. If you can imagine how difficult it is to infect the masses with music, you may have an idea of how this band, by trial and error, got the followers they have today, based on the little I have heard of this group before 2021, I notice a resemblance to bands that presided the un-metal both in the US and Europe, but lately has taken some elements associated with the 90's, 80's and 00's and mix them with a base of techno, hardstile and industrialized progressive metalcore. The lyrics are not far behind, these touch on current issues from satire or absurdity, evoking the double meaning in some cases.

Electric Callboy, in my modest opinion, fulfills a sort of musical Scary Movie, because we will easily recognize sounds that were almost never in contact, combined and updated to the different paradigms of today's society, resulting in a fun, exciting, contagious and original work, as far as it goes; a work that will make your heart and body dance every time you listen to them and when not will make you think about their lyrics. I wonder what the hell these faithful were thinking when they started this campaign. Without further ado, I present to you below:

Comencemos por el principio, el chuchuchu del TEKKNO TRAIN fue mi primer contacto con esta espontánea banda, así que me gustaría comenzar explicando un poco de este tema: aquí tenemos un intro como cualquier canción pop seguida de sonidos techno bien pegajoso, invitándonos a subir al tren de la fiesta y la diversión sin importar que digan los demás 😉, una fiesta al estilo PK2, luego de hacer mención de esa idea, aparece un poderoso sonido gutural y estridente, con toda la leche de metalcore que los caracteriza, acto seguido, una voz potente y melodiosa aparece, haciendo mención sobre el amor que se puede llegar a sentir por los trenes, por el ruido que este hace al transitar los firmes y rígidos rieles, además, nos invita a descubrir ese mundo inexplorado, ese valle del amor por donde el tren cabalga, una experiencia que vas a necesitar, porque siempre la quisiste y no sabías. También la canción nos invita a romper las reglas y a disfrutar la vida tal cual como la tenemos; justo antes de terminar la pieza una voz sexy nos da toda la información del viaje, el número del tren, la empresa que realiza el viaje, entre otros, dando pie al inicio del estribillo, ese que nos exhorta a no dejar pasar esta oportunidad, una oportunidad que no cuesta nada y que es necesaria para nuestra realización como especie. En este punto suena el característico cho, cho, cho, X3 +1 del tren. y por último, como es de costumbre, vuelven a recordarnos con el coro, lo del ruido, el amor y lo inexplorado..., Una canción para bailar, saltar y gritar hasta quedarse sin aliento, Pero, ¿Que tal si ven el vidéo? Así no se quedan solamente con mi explicación.

The song also invites us to break the rules and enjoy life as we have it; just before the end of the piece a sexy voice gives us all the information about the trip, the number of the train, the company that makes the trip, among others, giving rise to the beginning of the chorus, which urges us not to miss this opportunity, an opportunity that costs nothing and that is necessary for our realization as a species. La siguiente canción de la lista me recuerda mucho al mítico video Call On Me de Eric Prydz, es más el vidéo podría considerarse como un guiño en su totalidad. Pump It es el primer track del Disco Tekkno de 2022 y tema de apertura en el SUMMER BREEZE 2022, este tema trata sobre el amor que podemos llegar a sentir por el ejercicio físico y sobre la motivación; cuenta con un ritmo rápido, con mezcla de guitarras eléctricas y sintetizadores que dispara las endorfinas de nuestro cuerpo, energía útil para empezar a bombear nuestros brazos y piernas cuando nos ejercitamos. Para los que no han ido al GYM , es fácil desmotivarse y una buena pista que trabaje nuestros tiempos de acción y descanso nos resulta muy útil para mantener el ritmo, también la letra nos recuerda lo que podemos llegar a vivir en un gimnasio, la amistad, el apoyo de tus compañeros siempre dispuestos a sostenerte en esos momentos donde nuestras fuerzas fallan, también, nos recuerda lo importante de hacer bien una postura, porque es necesario cuidar nuestra técnica de bombeo por encima del tamaño, de la pesa. Aprovecho para advertirle que esta pieza cuenta con uno de los coros más pegadizos "I wanna feel it day and night / You are the power of my life / I wanna pump it better"

Fckboi es una colaboración con Conquer Divide, este tema me recuerda a Blink 182 y me sorprende el parecido de la voz femenina con la de mi cantante favorita, Hayley Williams de [Paramode], aquí la letra es menos subjetiva pero mantiene la crítica irónica y sarcástica, que en esta oportunidad va dirigida hacia esa imagen masculina de mujeriego y machista, buscando sexo casual y sin compromiso. Esto lo logran con la escena de una pareja que lucha con sus propios prejuicios, donde injustamente la mujer tilda al hombre de ser un Fckboi aunque sus intenciones sean las de conseguir una relación sana, retratando los sentimientos de ambas partes. En el aspecto musical hablamos de dos bandas conformadas en su totalidad por géneros biológicos diferentes, es una canción despreocupada y un poco graciosa que carece de ruido y que da un toque refrescante a esta lista.

A continuación tenemos a Hypa hypa, pertenece al álbum MMXX, esta pieza cuenta con la misma fórmula de los dos primeros temas. La base de bajos me recuerda hardstile de los primeros Qlimax Fest, estos están fusionados con el hardcore con voces melodiosas y guturales, El tema en este caso tiene una tónica más romántica, una letra que relata las emociones que sienten varios caballeros que contemplan atónitos la hermosura de una hermosa doncella bailando al ritmo de la música, estos contienen sus emociones aunque no dejamos de ser los testigos de las pasiones y fantasías que viven los caballeros mientras admiran a semejante belleza. En resumen una pieza pegadiza y un vídeo emocionante y repleto de bailes divertido.

No quiero pasar la oportunidad de mencionar que, este es uno de los temas que más me ha quitado el sueño en las madrugadas, soy algo lunático por lo que mi musa se activa en las noches frías de luna, así que antes de quedarme dormido hablaré rápidamente de dos piezas más y cuidaré de no quitar esta parte mientras edite el desastre que estoy haciendo.

Ahora nos vamos a una fiesta veraniega, porque eso es lo que intenta darnos We Got The Moves, ¿a quien no le gustan las fiestas de verano? Esas de casa llena, bailes desenfrenados, donde celebramos la juventud, la libertad, compartiendo con muchos la alegría de vivir, pues, este vidéo nos muestra a la banda, invitando a varios desconocidos a bailar y beber, con un estilo colorido y alocado, mientras arreglan el patio de una casa que tiene una piscinita portátil. "We are young, we are free, sipping on booze on a sunny beach" Un coro que sinceramente es mas dulce que el resto del tema.

Es notable que esta banda ha evolucionado mucho; tomando en cuenta que muchos grupos que si son únicos, están ahí afuera esperando su oportunidad de brillar, preparándose para esa oportunidad soñada; considero que Elctric Callboy ha tenido un acierto con esta combinación, sin embargo, deberían tener en cuenta que con el tiempo nos pueda resultar repetitiva y aburrida. No quería despedirme sin antes dejarles el tema que a mi parecer esta tratando de romper el internet, Hurrikane, una pieza al estilo del David Hasselhoff de los 80 combinada con dark metal. Advierto que el vídeo contiene imágenes un poco grotescas, aunque si son amante del género Zombie, no van a tener ningún problema.
