Getting My ear tuned and Solving the problem of getting Keys on the Piano

I remember just like yesterday when I started learning of keyboard, at first I saw it as a very hard one to start with and I saw it as something I should withdraw from but seeing different people and top players in that line gave me the inspiration to continue in that line and not by any chance give up on what I already started. so what I am talking about in this post is the fact that the players easily get to make their ears tuned to sound and also to how they play the instrument.

Going back to how I started the journey when I was playing the keyboard at the beginning I always imagine how easy for those who are pros in the line of playing the keyboard easily figure out the key which a certain singer is singing, because for me, I was so confused in that area figuring a certain key to easily access a singer, it always takes a long minute before I could get a singers key and this went for a long period of time now what was the solution to that and I was I able to get over that problem so fast and it was easily solved for me.

At first, anytime I have a singer singing before maybe in key Emajor, I always look for the first note of that scale and I this will take a longer hour because the singer won't stay on that certain note for me to find so that was what really affect me and I know most players too have gone through the stage who are now a better player. The solution for me which might be different from how others solved theirs and I will be looking forward to seeing other views on this. After noticing that the first note was the issue, what I always do is that when I hear the songster pick the song, I will quickly humm in the inside of me, that is the first note then I will find on the piano any keys closer to it maybe the third note of that key or fifth or any close that might be close and this went on for a couple of times which made my playing improve a bit.

Another solution is that I listen to various types of songs and videos and this played a major role in me getting me to where I am now and as the saying is that we will always learn every day, and apart from getting keys quickly there is what we call the ear training, sometimes I play for some choir and during the course of singing I will notice somehow that they slightly change the key which they were singing on unnoticed and my job as a pianist or keyboardist was to take note of everything happening so this too is another area which I have developed so much and I can say that listening to songs has really helped me a lot.

Wow, I didn't even realise that pianists need to learn the skill of identifying a singer's note.
Now that you pointed it out, pianists really do a lot of work and coordination in order to play in sync with a singer. Kudos to you guys.

I learnt something new from your piece!
