Rediscovering the True Essence of Live Performances
When you see that nowadays almost every concert, show, or event is accompanied by a sea of mobile phones waving in the air, it makes you wonder how much of the true artistic experience is actually being transmitted.
Sure, sometimes it makes sense to capture a snippet of an artist's performance, but when more than 50% of your attention is focused on your phone, it feels like any meaningful connection to the present moment is lost.
From my point of view, the most important memories reside in our hearts. We don't need a constant interface that distracts us when we can directly resonate with those who touch our souls.
The most beautiful memories are etched in our hearts, while photographs and videos are merely a catalyst to help us remember a moment and what we experienced then. Now, if we spend the majority of our time on our phones during a show, I'm not sure what extraordinary memories we can truly bring back to our minds.
So let's prioritize living in the moment over relying too much on technology, I would say. It's time to embrace the experience fully.
