AFRI-TUNES #59 || Onise Iyanu By Nathaniel Bassey (cover) By @maryjacy
Hello Everyone and music lovers, it's a great pleasure to be here today. It's been a while since I presented on Afri-tunes due to my schedule. Always very tired after coming back from school, but today is different... I'm glad to make it here today with the hope to keep it up. Today , I will be doing a song titled Onise Iyanu by Nathaniel Bassey. This is not my first time knowing the song, I have heard it from other people, so I downloaded it on my phone and I decided to try it out today, I hope you'll enjoy my cover.
Onise Iyanu is a Yoruba language In Nigeria, which means "Miracle worker " In English. The song is all about the greatness of God and his miraculous work. He has promised us to show mercy when we come to Him because He's a merciful God and He will never forsake us. He's always there to turn the situation of things around in our life and no power on earth can withstand his wonderful work.
He's always there to lighten our heavy burden when I look at my life, I can not but praise him for his miraculous work, he has always shown me even more than I deserve and that's what he's doing for individuals because he's always moving around doing good, touching every life and braking every bond.
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Onise Iyanu
You are the God of awesome wonders
I've tasted of your power
Onise Iyanu
You have shown me so much mercy
Much more than I deserve
My eyes have seen, my ears have heard
The wonders of your praise
Creation bows in awe of you
And we join to give you praise
The words you speak turns things around
Your outstretched arm
Has lifted me
You took away the chains and colts
That held me bound
Onise Iyanu
You are the God of awesome wonders
I've tasted of your power
Onise Iyanu
You have shown me so much mercy
Much more than I deserve
Omniscient, Omnipotent
the one who does great things
when I behold the things you do
I just can't hold back my praise
The words you speak turns things around
Your outstretched arm
Has lifted me
You took away the chains and colts
That held me bound
Onise Iyanu
You are the God of awesome wonders
I've tasted of your power
Onise Iyanu
You have shown me so much mercy
Much more than I deserve
