🎶 Más que una simple colección musical || More than just a simple music collection

Si me preguntas cuándo fue que tomé la decisión de comenzar a coleccionar los álbumes musicales de BTS y los individuales de cada uno de sus miembros, pues...sinceramente, no sabría decirte en qué momento específico fue que lo decidí. No es como si lo hubiese planificado e incluso hubiese elaborado una lista de prioridad...no, sólo fue simplemente algo que ocurrió. Es más, al inicio veía un poco absurdo el hecho de adquirir un álbum musical, pero luego de comprar el primero descubrí que los álbumes musicales de los artitas de K-Pop son toda una experiencia y van más allá de un simple CD + un cancionero.

Dado que esto es un increíble Universo, me he animado a compartir contigo, mi fiel lector, mi pequeña colección de álbumes musicales de BTS. Una colección que por el momento es un poco pequeña pero que sin duda alguna irá en aumento de aquí a unos cuantos meses. Pero, para contarte un poco acerca de mi colección debo ponerte primero en contexto y responder una pregunta importate: ¿por qué estos álbumes resultan ser una gran experiencia que te lleva fácilmente a caer en el Marketing Coreano? Verás, como te comentaba anteriormente, estos álbumes contienen elementos extras además del CD y del típico cancionero, sobretodo los álbumes individuales de cada integrante (como solistas). Contienen stickers, fotografías exclusivas, afiches y algunas otras cosas que caracterizan al artista y a su toque tan personal en sincronía con el concepto musical del álbum en particular.

If you ask me when I decided to start collecting BTS albums and individual albums by each of their members, well... honestly, I couldn't tell you exactly when I made that decision. It's not like I planned it or even made a priority list... no, it just happened. What's more, at first I thought it was a bit absurd to buy a music album, but after buying the first one, I discovered that K-Pop artists' music albums are quite an experience and go beyond a simple CD + songbook.

Since this is an incredible universe, I've decided to share with you, my loyal reader, my small collection of BTS music albums. It's a collection that's a little small at the moment, but it will undoubtedly grow over the next few months. But, to tell you a little about my collection, I must first give you some context and answer an important question: why are these albums such a great experience that easily draws you into Korean marketing? You see, as I mentioned earlier, these albums contain extra elements in addition to the CD and the typical songbook, especially the individual albums of each member as solo artists. They contain stickers, exclusive photographs, posters, and some other things that characterize the artist and their very personal touch in sync with the musical concept of the particular album.

El primer álbum musical que adquirí fue Layover el álbum debut en solitario de V de BTS. El concepto de este álbum en particular era uno de mis favoritos, en primer lugar porque parecía como una pequeña caja de encomienda repleta con recuerdos y experiencias vividas que un amigo quería compartir contigo y, en segundo lugar, porque las seis canciones que lo componen tienen un estilo romántico muy de balada y de género jazz que me recuerdan mucho al estilo musical de uno de mis cantantes favoritos: Frank Sinatra. Sin pensarlo mucho, el segundo álbum que cayó en mis manos fue Love Yourself: Her el quinto EP de BTS como grupo y que para mí ha tenido un significado increíble, pues me he sentido infinitamente identificada con sus canciones...así que digamos que este fue el motivo por el cual quise tenerlo en físico.

Jack In The Box de J-Hope se sumó a esta colección en tercer lugar, siendo este el álbum que más había deseado en adquirir pues su concepto artístico es algo que se encuentra a otro nivel. Una de mis cosas favoritas de este álbum, a parte de los stickers que trae consigo, es que también incluye una figura armable de un muñeco de papel ¡incluso trae una guía de instrucciones para armarlo! Me he aguantado un poco las ganas de armarlo porque aún no he realizado el respectivo unboxing de ese álbum, pero sinceramente ganas no me han faltado.

The first music album I ever bought was Layover, the debut solo album by V from BTS. The concept of this particular album was one of my favorites, firstly because it looked like a small parcel box filled with memories and experiences that a friend wanted to share with you, and secondly because the six songs on it have a romantic ballad and jazz style that reminds me a lot of the musical style of one of my favorite singers: Frank Sinatra. Without thinking twice, the second album that fell into my hands was Love Yourself: Her, BTS's fifth EP as a group, which has had an incredible meaning for me, as I have identified infinitely with their songs...so let's say that this was the reason why I wanted to have it in physical form.

J-Hope's Jack In The Box was the third addition to this collection, and it was the album I most wanted to acquire because its artistic concept is on another level. One of my favorite things about this album, apart from the stickers it comes with, is that it also includes a paper doll figure that you can assemble, and it even comes with instructions on how to do it! I've held back a little from assembling it because I haven't unboxed the album yet, but honestly, I've been dying to do it.

El último álbum que llegó a mí recientemente fue mi regalo de cumpleaños #28 y se trató de ECHO el primer álbum en solitario de Jin de BTS. Este álbum posee tres versiones que se diferencian marcadamente en su estética visual y, para ser sincera, todas me gustaban pero la Versión III fue la ganadora en esta oportunidad. Al igual que me ocurrió con Jack In The Box, una de mis cosas favoritas de ECHO fue el set de stickers ¡son una belleza! y realmente aún estoy pensando en si darles uso o no. Aunque realmente sería un total desperdicio no usarlos para hacer un poco de scrapbook, pero ya veremos qué resulta de eso.

¿Mi segunda cosa favorita de cada álbum luego de los stickers? Las photocards, por supuesto. Es tan absurdo cómo un cartón pequeño de tu cantante favorito puede convertirse en una de tus posiciones más importantes y, sí, te podrá parecer muy loco pero es un sentimiento que sólo entre K-Poppers vamos a comprender.

The last album I got recently was my 28th birthday present, and it was ECHO, the first solo album by Jin from BTS. This album has three versions that are very different in terms of visual aesthetics, and to be honest, I liked them all, but Version III was the winner this time around. Just like with Jack In The Box, one of my favorite things about ECHO was the sticker set—they're beautiful! I'm still thinking about whether or not to use them. It would be a total waste not to use them to make a scrapbook, but we'll see what happens.

My second favorite thing about each album after the stickers? The photocards, of course. It's so absurd how a small piece of cardboard with your favorite singer on it can become one of your most important possessions, and yes, it may seem crazy, but it's a feeling that only K-Pop fans will understand.

Mi colección de álbumes en solitario de BTS y de sus miembros por individual es algo que ahora sí comienza a ir en serio e incluso ya me planteé una lista de prioridades a la cual he ido dando check, pero primero tengo que acondicionar un pequeño espacio en mi habitación en donde pueda organizar estos álbumes libremente y que parezca como mi pequeño museo de colección personal.
