La movida cultural nocturna caraqueña puede resultar bastante interesante. Claro está que nunca he sido una persona a la que le guste salir de noche, realmente a veces parezco una señora de sesenta años en el cuerpo de una joven de veintiocho debido a mi preferencia por salir de día porque ya a las 9 de la noche el cansancio me pega y me pongo de mal humor si mi outfit no es mi pijama y mi próximo movimiento es estar en cama abrazando a mi peluche, lista para dormir. Sin embargo, a veces cuando tienes amigos a los que les gusta salir a recorrer la ciudad de noche y conocen lugares geniales para comer, escuchar buena música y tomarse un par de cervezas las cosas cambian un poco y puede que me aventure a dormir tarde sólo por una vez al mes.

Llevaba tiempo queriendo visitar un lugar en Caracas llamado Dos Puntos. Este es un espacio cultural h gastronómico bastante particular que vine descubriendo hace unos meses por redes sociales y que uno de las personas más cercanas a mí me aseguró que tiene un ambiente increíble. Comenzamos por el hecho de que no es el clásico restaurante o bar al que estamos acostumbrados, pues más bien se define más bien como un "Club de Escucha" y un bar de autor. Su concepto gira en torno a la música, el arte y el entretenimiento alternativo. Además, el lugar en sí es una quinta enorme, muy bonita, con jardín increíble lo cual convierte la experiencia en una mucho más acogedora.

El ambiente es bastante minimalista y se encuentra estéticamente muy bien cuidado. Dado que la música es la real protagonista en este lugar, todo vibra entorno a lo analógico así que la decoración se basa principalmente en discos de vinilo que, por supuesto, son empleados también por los DJ's para hacer mezclas interesantes. No sólo discos de vinilo decoran el lugar sino también unos cuantos libros viejos, máquinas de escribir y tocadiscos lo cual le da al lugar ese aspecto retro y alternaitvo que tanto me encanta.

Duramos en este lugar cerca de unas cuatro horas en medio de buena bebida, una mezcla musical increíble (que ahora me gustaría tenerla en una playlist de Spotify) y, por supuesto, ojeando toda la colección de vinilos del lugar. Algo que me resultó gracioso es que tenían un disco de vinilo de Taylor Swift cosa que jamás esperé encontrar ahí.

Y de esta nueva experiencia caraqueña sólo puedo decir que a veces hay que darle una oportunidad a la Caracas nocturna porque, ciertamente, no todos los especios dedicados a la movida nocturna citadina son tan malos como todo el mundo piensa.

Day #137 of 365 Romanticizing Life.

Caracas's nightlife scene can be quite interesting. Of course, I've never been much of a night owl; I really do sometimes feel like a sixty-year-old in a twenty-eight-year-old's body because I prefer going out during the day. By 9 pm, I'm exhausted and get grumpy if I'm not in my pajamas, and my next move is to be in bed hugging my teddy bear, ready to sleep. However, sometimes when you have friends who like to explore the city at night and know great places to eat, listen to good music, and have a couple of beers, things change a bit, and I might venture to stay up late just once a month.

I'd been wanting to visit a place in Caracas called Dos Puntos for a while. This is a rather unique cultural and gastronomic space that I discovered a few months ago through social media, and one of my closest friends assured me it has an incredible atmosphere. It's not your typical restaurant or bar; it's more of a "listening club" and a boutique bar. Its concept revolves around music, art, and alternative entertainment. The venue itself is a huge, beautiful estate with an amazing garden, which makes the experience even more inviting.

The ambiance is quite minimalist and aesthetically pleasing. Since music is the true star here, everything has an analog feel, so the decor is primarily based on vinyl records, which, of course, are also used by the DJs to create interesting mixes. Not only vinyl records decorate the space, but also a few old books, typewriters, and record players, giving it that retro and alternative vibe that I love so much.

We spent about four hours there, enjoying great drinks, an amazing mix of music (which I'd love to add to my Spotify playlist), and, of course, browsing their extensive vinyl collection. Something I found funny was that they had a Taylor Swift vinyl record, something I never expected to find there. And from this new Caracas experience, I can only say that sometimes you have to give Caracas nightlife a chance because, certainly, not all the venues dedicated to the city's nightlife are as bad as everyone thinks.
