La Cápsula Musical del día de hoy va dedicada a esas canciones que nos hacen lidiar profundamente con nuestros sentimientos llevándolos casi a flor de piel porque, sí, hay canciones que a veces simplemente se escuchan con el alma. Este Top 3 de Lunes incluye canciones de nostalgia y desamor o canciones para enamorarse, aquí hay de todo un poco pero todas recaen en lo mismo: el amor, bien sea que lo veamos desde el punto de vista romántico y bonito o desde el punto de vista que se siente como una espinita.

Por lo general no soy de escuchar este tipo de canciones, le huyo a las baladas o a las canciones románticas, pero he de aceptar que hay unas con letras y melodías muy bonitas que valen la pena tenerla en el playlist, asíq eu es por eso que hoy me ví motivada a compartirte tres canciones que me hicieron llorar. Y, hey, lo digo en serio...¡realmente lloré!

Today's Music Capsule is dedicated to those songs that make us deal deeply with our feelings, bringing them to the surface because, yes, there are songs that sometimes you just listen to with your soul. This Monday's Top 3 includes songs about nostalgia and heartbreak, or songs to fall in love to. There's a little bit of everything here, but they all boil down to the same thing: love, whether we see it from a romantic and beautiful point of view or from the point of view that it feels like a thorn in our side.

I'm not usually one to listen to these kinds of songs; I shy away from ballads or romantic songs, but I have to admit that there are some with very beautiful lyrics and melodies that are worth having on your playlist, so that's why today I felt motivated to share three songs that made me cry. And, hey, I mean it... I really cried!

Nunca he sido muy fanática de la música de Karol G, pero he de admitir que algunas de las canciones de su último álbum Tropicoqueta me llegaron a gustar. Sin embargo, hubo una en particular que despertó mucho mi curiosidad y que no la ví venir en lo absoluto sobretodo por el artista que prestó su voz para la colaboración con la Colombiana. Si tienes un poco de cultura musical y no vives debajo de una piedra tienes que conocer a Marco Antonio Solís, ¿cierto? pues bien, el punto es que unió su tan reconocida voz con la de Karol G en una canción que yo digo representa muy bien a aquellas personas que sentimos demasiado en un mundo que se ha convertido un tanto frívolo y superficial. La primera vez que escuché Coleccionando Heridas me sentí un tanto identificada, dolió un poco e incluso solté una que otra lagrimita. Básicamente esta canción explora en la idea de que en los tiempos actuales el amor bonito y verdadero (como ese que vivieron muchos de nuestros abuelos) puede ser una rareza y que las conexiones emocionales genuinas y sinceras parecen escasear.

Fragmentos de la canción como: "¿Será que se quedó el amor en otros tiempos?" y "Vivir como si no tuviera sentimientos. Yo no tengo ese talento. Yo sí siento todavía" te lleva a reflexionar en cómo muchas personas viven las relaciones actualmente: sin demostrar realmente demasiado afecto y brincando de un vínculo vacío a otro. Sin embargo, la canción también expresa que a pesar de que muchas veces nos toque transitar por un camino que deje muchas cicatrices, no se pierde ese deseo latente de seguir creyendo en el amor y en la capacidad de poder sanar.

I've never been a big fan of Karol G's music, but I have to admit that I ended up liking some of the songs on her latest album, Tropicoqueta. However, there was one in particular that really piqued my curiosity, and I didn't see it coming at all, especially because of the artist who lent his voice to the collaboration with the Colombian singer. If you have any musical culture and don't live under a rock, you must know Marco Antonio Solís, right? Well, the point is that he joined his renowned voice with Karol G's in a song that I think represents very well those of us who feel too much in a world that has become somewhat frivolous and superficial. The first time I heard “Coleccionando Heridas,” I felt somewhat identified with it, it hurt a little, and I even shed a tear or two. Basically, this song explores the idea that in today's world, beautiful and true love, like the kind many of our grandparents experienced, can be a rarity, and that genuine and sincere emotional connections seem to be in short supply.

Lyrics such as: “Could it be that love remained in other times?” and "Living as if I had no feelings. I don't have that talent. I still feel" make you reflect on how many people live their relationships today: without really showing much affection and jumping from one empty relationship to another. However, the song also expresses that even though we often have to walk a path that leaves many scars, we never lose that latent desire to continue believing in love and in the ability to heal.

Curiosamente la segunda recomendación de este Top viene siendo una especie de continuación a la primera recomendación. Coleccionando Heridas comenzaba con la frase "¿Será que el amor no es pa' mí?" y Luna de Miel comienza con la frase "Creo que el amor ya me perdonó" ¿lo ves? es como si la historia fuese transcurriendo y cambiando para mejor con le paso del tiempo: luego de la desilusión, sanas y llega a tí algo mejor. Realmente este orden de canciones no lo planifiqué, sólo me di cuenta de ello a medida que iba redactando este post. Pero ok, lo cierto es que si la primera canción nos hablaba un poco de soledad y cicatrices amorosas, esta segunda canción es todo lo contrario y termina convirtiéndose más bien en una curita para el alma. Luna de Miel corresponde a la novena canción del álbum Bendito Verano de Elena Rose y del cuál también te hablé un poco la semana pasada.

Apenas escuché esta canción pensé que era la canción ideal para una boda y me lo reafirmó cuando escuché una entrevista de Elena Rose en donde ella comentaba que la precisamente la intención de esta canción era esa: sentirse enamorado y celebrar el amor plenamente.

Interestingly, the second recommendation in this Top list is a kind of continuation of the first recommendation. “Coleccionando Heridas” began with the phrase “¿Será que el amor no es pa' mí?” (“Is love not for me?”) and “Luna de Miel” begins with the phrase “Creo que el amor ya me perdonó” (“I think love has forgiven me”). See? It's as if the story were unfolding and changing for the better with the passage of time: after disappointment, you heal and something better comes your way. I didn't really plan this order of songs, I just realized it as I was writing this post. But okay, the truth is that if the first song spoke a little about loneliness and emotional scars, this second song is the complete opposite and ends up being more of a balm for the soul. “Luna de Miel” is the ninth song on Elena Rose's album Bendito Verano, which I also told you a little about last week.

As soon as I heard this song, I thought it was the perfect song for a wedding, and this was confirmed when I heard an interview with Elena Rose in which she said that this was precisely the intention of the song: to feel in love and celebrate love to the fullest.

Otra vez Rawayana en este Top, pero que es de verdad este grupo venezolano simplemente se ha estado luciendo en el último año. En Venga lo que Venga se nos plasma al amor como un arma incondicional en medio de un mundo caótico desbordante de caos y situaciones complejas. Si bien siempre he pensado que el amor no es lo es todo en una relación de pareja, sí considero que es una de las bases importantes e incluso puede llegar a ser un refugio seguro ante tiempos de incertidumbre y miedo.

Quizás la letra podrá parecerte un tanto cursi y cliché, pero conozco historias de amigos cercanos que se acoplan perfectamente a lo que intenta transmitir la canción por eso es que quizás me parece tan bonita e hice click con ella rápidamente.

Rawayana is back in this Top list, but this Venezuelan band has really been shining over the last year. In Venga lo que Venga, love is portrayed as an unconditional weapon in the midst of a chaotic world overflowing with chaos and complex situations. While I have always thought that love is not everything in a relationship, I do consider it to be one of the important foundations and can even be a safe haven in times of uncertainty and fear.

The lyrics may seem a bit corny and cliché to you, but I know stories from close friends that fit perfectly with what the song is trying to convey, which is why I find it so beautiful and quickly connected with it.
