Apenas me levanto y comienzo a preparar el desayuno coloco la música a reproducir...música que nunca se detiene porque mientras voy camino al trabajo e incluso durante mi jornada laboral, mientras entreno en el gimnasio por las tardes, cuando voy de regreso a mi hogar y mientras estoy a punto de ir a dormir siempre hay una canción que se escucha de fondo y es que lo más gracioso es que tengo un playlist determinado para cada situación porque, ya sabes, el mismo estilo musical que puedes escuchar para hacer ejercicio no es el mismo que necesitas para la hora del café durante una tarde lluviosa, ¡hay un género musical asociado a cada mood! o bueno...así lo veo yo.
El punto de todo esto, y a lo que quiero llegar, es que la música es sumamente importante para mí. Si estoy triste, escucho música. Si estoy feliz, escucho música. Si necesito inspiración, escucho música. Si necesito una dosis de energía, escucho música porque para mí, simplemente, la música anima, inspira y motiva y es por eso que no me encasillo en un género en particular ni me limito a escuchar a un único artista pues en el amplio universo musical hay trabajos bastante interesantes que merecen ser explorados. Obviamente, tengo mis preferencias, pero es interesante incluir en tu playlist diversidad de géneros y artistas.

That's why I don't pigeonhole myself into a particular genre or limit myself to listening to a single artist, because there are so many interesting works in the vast musical universe that deserve to be explored. Obviously, I have my preferences, but it's interesting to include a diversity of genres and artists in your playlist.

Dicho esto, comencemos con las tres recomendaciones musicales de esta semana que, cabe destacar, son un poco variadas y perfectas para bailar, extrañar durante una tarde Domingo y relajarte un poco luego del estrés diario.

Tame Impala no es en sí una banda sino más bien proyecto musical del Australiano Kevin Parker que mezcla el rock psicodélico con un poco de lo moderno del electropop (aquí yo hablando como si fuese toda una experta en este ámbito). Descubrí este proyecto musical hace poco gracias a la recomendación musical del maravilloso Kim Nam-joon (líder de BTS) y desde ese momento se creó una obsesión en mí con cada uno de sus temas pues realmente el sonido de Tame Impala me resultó bastante envolvente, siendo perfectos para crear una atmósfera reflexiva e incluso melancólica en donde sólo quieres mantenerte relajado por unos cuantos minutos.
End Of Summer fue estrenada en Julio de este año y fue con esta canción con la que inicié mi gusto particular hacia Tame Impala. Digamos que fui escuchando lo más reciente hacia lo más viejo y eso me permitió darme cuenta de que este tema nuevo, a diferencia de los proyectos anteriores, se inclina hacia un sonido un poco más de la electrónica bailable, pero sin dejar de lado esa nota un tanto nostálgica que incluso se deja entrever con el título y parte de la letra de la canción. El sonido me pareció bastante envolvente, hipnótico, de esas canciones que son para medio bailar y para medio sumergirte en una atmósfera reflexiva, 100% apta para el final del día en donde sólo esperas relajarte un poco antes de acostarte a dormir o, ¿por qué no? también combina bien para un día de lluvioso.

Motherflowers es una agrupación venezolana formada en Puerto La Cruz. Sin duda, una de mis agrupaciones favoritas pero que a mi parecer es bastante infravalorada. Su ritmo y estilo es una fusión interesante entre lo caribeño y tropical con las corrientes pop, rap, R&B ligados a otros elementos llamativos como las rimas de sus canciones, sus outfits coloridos y la estética de sus vídeos. Realmente podría fácilmente dedicar toda una publicación a hablar detalladamente sobre el concepto musical de esta agrupación, pero hoy mejor comencemos por algo sencillo: una de mis canciones favoritas de Motherflowers.

En él se aprecia una pareja bailando mostrando picardía, sensualidad y complicidad, tú sabes, lo típico de esa etapa de enamoramiento en donde simplemente no quieres despegarte de esa persona.
