Hello Vibes, a new week begins, and here I am to share my art with you. First of all, I want to thank everyone who made it possible for me to be among the six winners last week: Vibes and the judges, everyone who voted for me, and of course, the other competitors and winners who give their all each week so you can appreciate their music.

Hola Vibes, comineza una nueva semana y aquí estoy yo para brindarles mi arte. Primero que todo, quiero agradecer a todos los que hicieron posible que quedara dentro de los 6 ganadores en la pasada semana #39, a Vibes y a los jueces, a todos los que votaron por mi, y por supuesto a los demás competidores y ganadores que cada semana dan lo mejor de sí para que puedan apreciar su música.

This week, I bring you a beautiful song from the so-called traditional Cuban Trova, which over the years has transcended and gained recognition not only in Cuba but also in Latin America and other countries around the world. "Vinte años" (Twenty Years) by María Teresa Vera. A classic piece that addresses the theme of lost love and nostalgia for the past. "What does it matter if I love you, if you don't love me anymore?" reflects the sadness and resignation of a person facing the reality of a love that is no longer reciprocated.

Para esta semana les traigo una canción muy hermosa de la llamada Trova tradicional cubana, y que a lo largo de los años ha trascendido y se ha reconocido no sólo en Cuba sino también en Latinoamérica y otros países del mundo. Veinte años de María Teresa Vera.
Una pieza clásica que aborda el tema del amor perdido y la nostalgia por el pasado.

El amor es un elemento vital, que una vez perdido deja una marca casi inborrable en el alma. La mención de veinte años atrás, no solo sirve como referencia temporal, sino que también simboliza un período de juventud y felicidad que contrasta con el presente doloroso.
Su autora María Teresa Vera, cantante, compositora y guitarrista cubana, nacida en Guanajay, Cuba, el 6 de febrero de 1895 nos legó un gran repertorio de bellas canciones recordadas por todos los cubanos, sobre todo por los de la vieja guardia, nuestros abuelos y con "Veinte Años" ella nos recuerda que el amor en todas sus formas, es una fuerza poderosa que puede traer tanto alegría como sufrimiento.
