Curiosities about instruments, The trumpet and Rising Star Fan Art.

Greetings to all my dear Rising Star friends, today I am very happy to share with you a new article on my blog. I want to tell you some interesting facts about a very interesting instrument, I am referring to the trumpet. And, as usual, at the end of the post I will present you some fan art that I have created, inspired by our beloved game, Rising Star. Without further ado, let's begin.

Friends The trumpet is one of the oldest instruments of humanity. Even in ancient times in the Germanic, Celtic, Greek and Roman cultures there was something resembling a trumpet. Sure, at first they were just metal or wooden tubes that made noise, but those simple sounds gradually improved and evolved until they became the instrument we have today.

During the Middle Ages, the trumpet was mainly used in the court and at important events. It was like the WhatsApp of the time to send messages in the middle of battles. Who needs emojis when you can have a trumpet blast? Haha😀. In the Renaissance, its design began to be refined, and it was no longer just for fanfares, musical compositions that included trumpets began to appear. So to speak, it was coming out of childhood and entering adolescence😅.

Then time went by and in the Baroque era, it gained even more popularity. Composers like Bach and Handel wrote pieces (well known today) for the trumpet. In this way it came into its own haha. They gave it a special place in classical music. During this period, techniques were developed to play more notes, although of course they were still limited.

  • The big change came in the 18th and 19th centuries with the invention of the valve trumpet. Before this, trumpet players had to juggle technique to play different notes. With valves, they could play a wider range of notes with “more ease”, so to speak haha. This made the trumpet a much more popular instrument.
  • And now we come to the present, time has passed. In this century the trumpet became very useful in jazz. Figures like Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie showed that this instrument could be the center of a band, improvising solos that left the audience amazed. And not only in jazz, it also became essential in mariachi groups. What would become of a Mexican band without one of these? It would be a sin, haha. In that type of music it is indispensable.

But obviously it is used in many more genres, such as: pop, rock and, of course, jazz. Among many others.

  • Did you know that the trumpet has a trick? Without having to press a single piston, it can produce a series of notes on its own. These notes include C, E and G, as well as other harmonics. That is to say, simply by blowing, the trumpet allows you to play a small musical scale.
  • The trumpet, in its modern form, was the brainchild of the German musician Heinrich Stölzel. Accompanied by Friedrich Blühmel, they created the contemporary version of this instrument in 1815.

Rising Star Fan Art

Now, changing the subject, I present my post #64 about some of the fan art I've made with the help of DALL-E, inspired by our beloved game, Rising Star. In this post, I've used the card theme again along with several elements of the game. For example, I've added the star, some instruments and singers to give more personality to the images. Some of the images also have futuristic and retro touches, and I've added stages and concerts to give it a special touch.

The images are free to use, so you can use them from this post without any problem. I reiterate that they have been made by me with the help of DALL-E.

I hope you enjoyed this journey through the history and curiosities of the trumpet. And that you liked the fan art. See you in a new post. Until next time friends, greetings to all.
