Hola, Queridos Hivers!

Les cuento que para celebrar la canonización de nuestros santos venezolanos, el Dr. José Gregorio Hernández y la Madre Carmen Rendiles, aquí en Caracas planeaban hacer un evento masivo en el Estadio Monumental Simón Bolívar.
Para asistir a tal evento había un protocolo de inscripción hasta cierta fecha, y lamentablemente nosotras no nos pudimos inscribir... sin embargo, dicho evento se tuvo que cancelar, y la arquidiocesis de Caracas decidió que se haría la celebración por parroquia, así que al final, si pudimos asistir!!

Nuestros compañeros parroquiales empezaron a difundir un flyer con el itinerario y la fecha de la celebración, 25 de Octubre, así que hoy mi mamá y yo nos levantamos energizadas y listas para asistir a esa hermosa actividad!

Cuando llegamos apenas estaban por empezar.
Celebramos en el patio que está fuera del templo y antes de la eucaristía, se presentaron unas niñas bailando el Alma Llanera, salieron unos niñitos disfrazados de los santos, y luego se presentó la orquesta pre juvenil del nucleo de El sistema del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia.

Los niños de la orquesta tocaron piezas como "El Himno de la Alegría", "Ave Verum Corpus, "Adeste Fideles", y finalizaron con un popurrí de "Venezuela" y "Alma Llanera".
Todos empezamos a cantar junto a la orquesta, jeje, fue muy bonito y muy sentimental.

Después de que recogieron las sillas, los atriles, y todos se pusieron en sus puestos ( y con esto me refiero a que todos movieron sus sillas y bancos a los lugares donde había sombra), empezó la misa.

El amor de Dios es tan grande y poderoso, y la mayor parte de la misa, pasaba una nube que tapaba el sol y nos daba sombra por un buen rato.
Fue una misa muy linda sobre cómo estamos llamados a ser santos y a amar y ayudar al prójimo. Inspirador.

Después de la misa, saludamos a todos nuestros conocidos, y mientras los que podían se fueron a la procesión, nosotras volvimos a casa llenas del amor de Dios.

Me sentí muy bien allí hoy, estoy muy agradecida con mi mamá por llevarme e inculcarme el amor y devoción a Dios. Para mi, ella es santa...

I'd like to tell you that to celebrate the canonization of our Venezuelan saints, Dr. José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles, here in Caracas, were planning a massive event at the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium.
To attend this event, there was a registration protocol until a certain date, and unfortunately, we were unable to register... however, the event had to be canceled, and the Archdiocese of Caracas decided that the celebration would be held by parish, so in the end, we were able to attend!!

Our parish colleagues began distributing a flyer with the itinerary and the date of the celebration, October 25th, so today my mom and I woke up energized and ready to attend this beautiful activity!

When we arrived, they were just about to start.
We celebrated in the courtyard outside the church, and before the Eucharist, some girls performed the Alma Llanera dance, some children dressed as saints came out, and then the junior youth orchestra from the Supreme Court of Justice system performed.

The children in the orchestra played pieces like "The Hymn of Joy," "Ave Verum Corpus," "Adeste Fideles," and ended with a medley of "Venezuela" and "Alma Llanera."
We all began to sing along with the orchestra, hehe, it was very beautiful and very sentimental.

After the chairs and music stands were cleared away, and everyone took their places (and by this I mean everyone moved their chairs and pews to places where there was shade), the Mass began.

God's love is so great and powerful, and for most of the Mass, a cloud passed by, blocking out the sun and shading us for a good while.
It was a very beautiful Mass about how we are called to be saints and to love and help our neighbors. Inspiring.

After Mass, we greeted all our acquaintances, and while those who could went to the procession, we returned home filled with the love of God.

I felt so good there today. I'm so grateful to my mom for taking me there and instilling in me the love and devotion to God. To me, she's a saint...
