For as long as I can remember, I have always felt a special connection to music. However, it wasn't until I discovered the violin that I truly understood the power of this art. Every day, when that sacred moment comes when I sit down with my violin, it is as if the world stops and only the two of us exist: me and my instrument. This ritual has become my favorite moment of the day. Now I will explain the steps I take into account before I start to study.

Desde que tengo memoria, siempre he sentido una conexión especial con la música. Sin embargo, no fue hasta que descubrí el violín que realmente entendí el poder de este arte. Cada día, cuando llega ese momento sagrado en el que me siento con mi violín, es como si el mundo se detuviera y solo existiéramos nosotros dos: yo y mi instrumento. Este ritual se ha convertido en mi momento favorito del día. Ahora les explicare los pasos q tengo en cuenta antes de ponerme a estudiar.

First: Preparation

Everything starts with the preparation, first I make sure my violin is in perfect condition, I take care of it as if it were a treasure. Cleaning the strings, the fingerboard, the covers and adjusting the bow and tuning it are essential steps before I start playing.

Todo comienza con la preparación , primero me aseguro de que mi violín esté en perfectas condiciones, lo cuido como si fuera un tesoro. Limpiar las cuerdas, el diapasón , las tapas y ajustar el arco y afinarlo son pasos esenciales antes de ponerme a tocar.

Second: The Connection

Once ready, I sit in my favorite corner of the house. Sometimes, I place a soft lamp that illuminates the space with a warm light when I study at night and I also use two sticks as a mute, but not during the day, then I take a deep breath and close my eyes for a moment, when I open my eyes and take the violin in my hands, it is as if all my worries vanish, it relaxes me. The violin should feel like an extension of oneself, every musician should feel at one with his instrument because in every note there is a story to tell.

Segundo:La Conexión

Una vez listo, me siento en mi rincón favorito de la casa. A veces, coloco una lámpara suave que ilumina el espacio con una luz cálida cuando estudio de noche y también uso dos palitos como sordina , pero de día no, después respiro hondo y cierro los ojos por un momento.Cuando abro los ojos y tomo el violín entre mis manos, es como si todas mis preocupaciones se desvanecieran, me relaja . El violín se debe de sentir como una extensión de uno mismo ,cada músico debe de sentirse uno con su instrumento porque en casa nota hay una historia que contar.

Third: Practice

Practice is hard, it is not something that is easy to do, especially with all the problems that exist today, but it is always important to make time for what you love, and that dedication is precisely what makes doing it so rewarding. Sometimes I try to do difficult passages or new techniques, but every mistake is an opportunity to learn and improve. In music perseverance becomes your best friend during these moments. I love to experiment with different styles and genres of music; from classical to folk, each style offers something unique, because each one has its own characteristics.

Tercero:La Práctica

La práctica es dura no es algo q sea fácil hacer y más con todos los problemas q hay hoy e día pero siempre es importante sacar tiempo para lo q amas , y esa dedicación es precisamente eso lo que hace q hacerlo sea tan gratificante. A veces trato de hacer pasajes difíciles o nuevas técnicas, pero cada error es una oportunidad para aprender y mejorar. En la música la perseverancia se de ve de convertir en tu mejor amiga durante estos momentos. Me encanta experimentar con diferentes estilos y géneros musicales; desde la clásica hasta el folk, cada estilo ofrece algo único, porque cada uno tienes su características.

Fourth :The Satisfaction

There is nothing like the satisfaction of mastering a piece after hours of practice. When I finally manage to play it without mistakes, I feel an indescribable joy. It is a reminder that the effort is worth it and that every minute spent studying my violin brings me closer to my musical dreams, that I can become better every day and that I feel I am not stuck in the same place.

No hay nada como la satisfacción de dominar una pieza después de horas de práctica. Cuando finalmente logro tocarla sin errores, siento una alegría indescriptible. Es un recordatorio de que el esfuerzo vale la pena y que cada minuto invertido en estudiar mi violín me acerca más a mis sueños musicales, de poder llegar a ser mejor cada día y q siento q no estoy estancado en el mismo lugar.

Fifth: Inspiration

I often look for inspiration from other violinists like David Garrett, Lindsay Starlin and really listening to my favorite artists or watching live performances motivates me greatly. I love to imagine myself in their shoes, feeling the same emotion when performing a piece in front of a captivated audience. I've had that experience in my group and it's very good, not to the magnitude of them but it feels great and it's this inspiration that fuels my desire to keep practicing and improving.

Quinto:La Inspiración

A menudo busco inspiración en otros violinistas como David Garret , Lindsay Starlin y en verdad q escuchar a mis artistas favoritos o ver actuaciones en vivo me motiva enormemente. Me encanta imaginarme en su lugar, sintiendo la misma emoción al interpretar una pieza frente a un público cautivado, q conste q en mi grupo he vivido esa experiencia y es muy buena lo q claro no a la magnitud de ellos pero si se siente muy bien y es esta inspiración la q alimenta mi deseo de seguir practicando y mejorando.

Sixth: sharing my music

One of the most special moments is when I have the opportunity to share what I have learned with friends and family. Sometimes I organize small informal performances where I play some favorite pieces. Seeing the smiles on their faces as they listen fills me with joy and reinforces my love for my instrument.

Uno de los momentos más especiales es cuando tengo la oportunidad de compartir lo que he aprendido con amigos y familiares. A veces organizo pequeñas presentaciones informales donde toco algunas piezas favoritas. Ver las sonrisas en sus rostros mientras escuchan me llena de alegría y refuerza mi amor por mi instrumento.

Studying the violin is not just an activity; it is a personal journey full of emotions, challenges and rewards. Every day I spend with my instrument is a reminder of the beauty of music and its ability to connect people. My favorite time of the day not only brings happiness to me, but also to those around me who have the opportunity to hear me play.

So here I am, looking forward to that special moment each day, knowing that with each practice I am one step closer to becoming the musician I have always dreamed of becoming with the help of Papa God 🙏🏾.
