Estoy de vuelta a esta bonita comunidad para hablar de uno de los álbums de mi banda favorita de toda la vida, Evanescence. Este álbum llamado "Synthesis" (SÃntesis) fue publicado en el 2017 siendo su cuarto álbum de estudio, en este trabajo la banda hace una selección de temas anteriores para rehacerlos bajo una mezcla de electrónica con orquesta, también añadiendo un par de canciones nuevas haciendo de éste álbum una experiencia rara pero mágica✨
I'm back to this beautiful community to talk about one of the albums of my all-time favorite band, Evanescence. This album called "Synthesis" was published in 2017 being their fourth studio album, in this work the band makes a selection of previous songs to revamp them under a mix of electronic with orchestra, also adding a couple of new tracks making this album a rare but magical experience✨
La premisa del álbum puede sonar poco imaginativa puesto que hacer un álbum «nuevo» con canciones viejas no parece muy novedoso que digamos. Sin embargo, cuando escuchas esas canciones te das cuenta que poco tienen que ver con la versión original. Los arreglos musicales asà como la estructura son completamente diferentes, incorporando la electrónica como sustento de la orquesta. Es una mezcla poco usual que a mà particularmente me recuerda a artistas como Björk, quien Amy Lee ha señalado desde un principio de su carrera como una fuente de inspiración.
The premise of the album may sound unimaginative since making a "new" album with old songs does not seem very new. However, when you listen to those songs you realize that they have little to do with the original version. The musical arrangements as well as the structure are completely different, incorporating electronics as the support of the orchestra. It is an unusual mix that particularly reminds me of artists like Björk, whom Amy Lee has pointed out from the beginning of her career as a source of inspiration.
Con un total de 16 canciones el nombre del álbum resume el concepto que hay detrás. Es la sÃntesis de Evanescence, la esencia de su sonido desde los inicios de la banda y toda su evolución hasta el presente, siendo una mezcla de lo electrónico, orquestal, gótico, metal y rock. Evanescence en sÃntesis es alternativo; creo que lo han demostrado con cada álbum pero éste en particular lo refleja más claramente.
Puede no ser para el gusto de todo el mundo, pero creo que debe reconocerse el gran trabajo creativo que hay detrás de su música.
With a total of 16 songs, the name of the album sums up the concept behind it. It is the synthesis of Evanescence, the essence of its sound from the beginning of the band and its entire evolution to the present, being a mix of electronic, orchestral, gothic, metal and rock. Evanescence in short is alternative; I think they have shown it with each album but this one in particular reflects it more clearly.
It may not be to everyone's taste, but I think the great creative work behind their music should be recognized.
Para las personas que ya les gustaba la banda, éste álbum resulta muy emocionante puesto que escuchar una nueva perspectiva de esas canciones que has cantado por años mueve mucho emocionalmente. Aparte son drama puro debido no sólo a la letra y esencia de la canción original, sino que la presencia de una orquesta completa hace que todo suene mucho más épico.
Las canciones que eligieron para este remake fueron perfectas, aunque creo que la que más me encantó, incluso más que su versión original fue "Never Go Back" (Nunca volver). Se me eriza la piel al escucharla, más aún tomando en cuenta el significado de la letra que es una tragedia (está basada en los hechos ocurridos en Japón en 2011).
For people who already liked the band, this album is very exciting since hearing a new perspective on those songs that you have sung for years moves you a lot emotionally. Besides, they are pure drama due not only to the lyrics and essence of the original song, but the presence of a full orchestra makes everything sound much more epic.
The songs they chose for this remake were perfect, although I think the one I loved the most, even more than its original version, was "Never Go Back". I get goosebumps every time I hear it, even more so when I keep in mind the meaning behind the lyrics, which was a tragedy (it is based on the events that occurred in Japan in 2011).
En general todas las canciones son una obra de arte, incluidas las nuevas que son Hi-Lo ft. Lindsey Stirling y Imperfection asà como los interludios. Todo tiene un aura mágica que hace adictivo escuchar su música.
Aunque comentario aparte, no me gustó para nada el video musical de Imperfection😅. Me pareció un concepto horriblemente ejecutado jaja
In general all the songs are a work of art, including the new ones which are Hi-Lo ft. Lindsey Stirling and Imperfection as well as the interludes. Everything has a magical aura that makes listening to their music addictive.
Although side note, I didn't liked the music video for Imperfection at all😅. I think it was a horrible executed concept haha

Synthesis también cuenta con un documentario en DVD con grabaciones en vivo del concierto donde se puede apreciar la magia de la mezcla de sonidos pesados del rock y la electrónica con la belleza de la música clásica. La performance es hermosa.

Si quieres escuchar un sonido diferente creo que éste álbum (asà como todos los de Evanescence) es una gran opción a la que deberÃas darle una oportunidad. Y si como yo eres un fan de la banda, pues creo que estarás de acuerdo que aunque para el momento se esperaban más canciones nuevas sin duda el resultado final fue una sorpresa agradable que te hace recordar porqué amar a la banda✨
If you want to hear a different sound, I think this album (as well as all of Evanescence's albums) is a great option that you should give a chance. And if like me you are a fan of the band, well I think you will agree that although at the moment more new songs were expected, without a doubt the final result was a pleasant surprise that makes you remember why you love the band✨

Esa banda me acompañó una vez en un barrio donde se escuchaba vallenato ja,ja,ja... Memorable ya que han pasado como 20 años ja,ja,ja... Muy buena banda. No sabÃa que tenÃan un album, lo buscaré. Gracias por compartirlo.
La gente ha hecho versiones de cumbia con sus canciones jjaaja. Son bastante buenos, te los recomiendo un montón.
