El año ha pasado volando, siento como si enero hubiera sido apenas ayer y resulta que dentro de poco habrán sido ya siete meses. Aunque lo que es inevitable es que yo encuentre nueva música con la cual obsesionarme, poniéndola en mi playlist para escucharla hasta aburrirme o encontrar una canción nueva.
Así que eso quiero compartirles hoy, mi playlist de mitad de año🎧💙
The year has flown by, I feel as if January had just been yesterday and it turns out that soon it will have been seven months. Although what is inevitable is that I find new music to become obsessed with, adding it to my playlist to listen to it until I get bored or find a new song.
So that's what I want to share with you today, my mid-year playlist🎧💙
El metal no ha muerto aún y actualmente está resurgiendo con bandas maravillosas como Falling in Reverse, que rápidamente se convirtió en una de mis favoritas. Hace un tiempo ellos sacaron el exitoso single llamado Watch the world burn (Ver el mundo arder) con el cual se hicieron bastante virales por la mezcla de trap, rap, power metal y metal alternativo, haciendo de esa canción una rapsodia moderna.
Ahora con el lanzamiento de Ronald vuelven a llamar la atención con una fórmula similar, pero invirtiendo las cosas. Ésta canción es pesada desde el primer instante, siendo una carga poderosa de energía y metal pesado. Está el rap/trap pero no tiene tanto protagonismo en esta ocasión, sino que todo se concentra en los guturales, las fuertes guitarras y simplemente el metal. Para los fans del género está canción es una delicia para los oídos, sobretodo al final con la colaboración increíble de Alex Terrible de Slaughter to Prevail.
Metal isn't dead yet and is currently making a resurgence with wonderful bands like Falling in Reverse, which quickly became one of my favorites. A while ago they released the successful single called Watch the world burn with which they went quite viral due to the mix of trap, rap, power metal and alternative metal, making that song a modern rhapsody.
Now with the launch of Ronald they are once again attracting attention with a similar formula, but reversing things. This song is heavy from the first moment, being a powerful charge of energy and heavy metal. There is rap/trap but it does not have as much prominence on this occasion, everything is concentrated on the gutturals, the strong guitars and simply the metal. For fans of the genre, this song is a delight to the ears, especially at the end with the incredible collaboration of Alex Terrible from Slaughter to Prevail.
Yendo a artistas más populares, el nuevo álbum de Billie está buenísimo. De ese ya hablé en un post anterior, pero debo destacar la canción Blue (Azul). Transmite perfectamente la tristeza de una persona que atraviesa una ruptura, aunque pudiera considerarse más bien una depresión por lo que describe la letra. La voz y producción van en perfecta armonía con toda la canción haciéndola perfectamente melancólica.
Es simplemente una canción hermosa 💙
Moving on to more popular artists, Billie's new album is great. I already talked about that in a previous post, but I must highlight the song Blue. It perfectly conveys the sadness of a person going through a breakup, although it could be considered more of a depression based on what the lyrics describe. The voice and production are in perfect harmony with the entire song making it perfectly melancholic.
It's just a beautiful song 💙
Seguramente lo habrás escuchado demasiado en algún reel de Instagram o en otra red social pero hay que ser justos, Hozier es un artista increíble. Destaca en el R&B y Soul, siendo reconocido principalmente por el tema Take me to church (Llévame a la iglesia), el cual lejos de ser religioso es un tema bastante fuerte en todos los sentidos.
Pero actualmente tengo en repetición constante es Too sweet (muy dulce), la cual probablemente reconocerás. La voz de Hozier es increíblemente expresiva, por lo que puedes conectar con la emoción que transmite fácilmente, y si a eso le sumas lo pegajoso de la melodía, pues tienes un single perfecto.
Surely you have heard it too much on some Instagram reel or on another social media app but we have to be fair, Hozier is an incredible artist. He stands out in R&B and Soul, being recognized mainly for the song Take me to church, which far from being religious, is a quite strong song in every way.
But currently I have on constant repeat is Too sweet, which you will probably recognize. Hozier's voice is incredibly expressive, so you can connect with the emotion he conveys easily, and if you add to that the catchy melody, you have a perfect single.
El nuevo álbum tiene canciones increíbles, la banda volvió al estilo que la caracteriza y yo por fin pude volver a emocionarme con su música. Aunque aún no me actualizo en cuanto al significado que tiene este nuevo proyecto (puesto que la banda tiene mayormente álbumes conceptuales), lo cierto es que estoy obsesionada con Next semester (el próximo semestre) y Overcompensate (sobrecompensar). Describir el género de esta banda es prácticamente imposible, por lo que simplemente diré que es alternativo. Hay tantas mezclas que no se puede encasillar en un solo género, así que tienes que escucharlos para descubrir su sonido particular.
Lo cierto es que estas canciones están cargadas de energía y por supuesto, letras significativas. A mí me ponen de muy buen humor.
The new album has incredible songs, the band returned to the style that characterizes it and I was finally able to get excited about their music again. Although I have not yet updated on the meaning of this new project (since the band has mostly concept albums), the truth is that I am obsessed with Next semester and Overcompensate. Describing the genre of this band is practically impossible, so I will simply say that it is alternative. There are so many mixes that they can't be pigeonholed into a single genre, so you have to listen to them to discover their particular sound.
The truth is that these songs are full of energy and of course, meaningful lyrics. They put me in a very good mood.
Creo que una canción de este artista jamás falta. En esta ocasión es de su más reciente álbum, aunque ese no sea de mis favoritos, pero eso lo explicaré en otro post dedicado a ese álbum en particular.
Sin embargo, la canción Night Rider (conductor nocturno) me pone de un humor increíble no sólo por lo que transmite, sino porque Joji vuelve a la mezcla de lofi y R&B que solo él sabe cómo hacer perfectamente. Es una canción corta pero buena que se puede disfrutar más de una vez.
I think that a song by this artist is never missing. This time it is from his most recent album, although it is not one of my favorites, but I will explain that in another post dedicated to that particular album.
However, the song Night Rider puts me in an incredible mood not only because of what it transmits, but because Joji returns to the mix of lofi and R&B that only he knows how to do perfectly. It's a short but good song that can be enjoyed more than once.
Y para terminar con algo pesado, esta Code mistake (código error) de CORPSE, un youtuber que se ha hecho bastante reconocido por su voz increíblemente profunda. Él ha sabido aprovechar esto, por lo que se está dedicando a la música alternativa y pesada, mezclando elementos electrónicos, trap y metal, haciendo una combinación interesante que sinceramente está espectacular.
La última canción que ha publicado es en colaboración con los grandes de Bring me the horizon, haciendo el single un éxito asegurado. Es pesado, es raro y es genial.
And to end in something heavy, I'll mention Code mistake by CORPSE, a YouTuber who has become quite recognized for his incredibly deep voice. He has been able to take advantage of this, which is why he is dedicating himself to alternative and heavy music, mixing electronic, trap and metal elements, making an interesting combination that is honestly spectacular.
The latest song he has published is in collaboration with the great Bring me the horizon, making the single a guaranteed success. It's heavy, it's weird and it's cool.
