Commercialism vs. Artistic Integrity in Music
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.
This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "Lyrics On The Go".
Hello, welcome to my blog, where today I will be discussing the important topic of song lyrics that are created quickly. We live in a world where the immediacy of things has become essential, especially for the new generations who want to get the rewards and results of everything they do immediately. This is reflected in what I have always said and have been repeating for a very long time: 15-second or shorter videos on various social networks that provide immediate satisfaction and dopamine release. The vegetarian diet we follow nowadays where everything has to be fast: eating quickly, watching a video quickly, going to the bathroom quickly, solving a problem or challenge in the fastest way, and of course, reaching our goal or objective as quickly as possible. Finishing a job quickly, all these things force us to have a society based on immediacy. Music and song lyrics are not exempt from this. The problem with all this is that we have a very noticeable decline in the quality and feelings that these new songs represent. Nowadays, there is a great decline. Artists have dedicated themselves solely to creating songs that are commercial and catchy and that sell only for economic reasons. They are dedicated to being machines that produce money, and on the other hand, that beauty of what a song that represents the feeling or emotion of a beautiful moment or a situation in life has been lost. This makes me feel very sad and depressed because it is a representation of the decadence, of how bad society is today, especially our youth, and an indication of where the world is headed. The world is headed to having more and more people and inhabitants who do not have critical thinking, who do not have reasoning, and who seek things easily without having that essential spark that is curiosity, wanting to find out, questioning everything, asking how things work, and not just accepting something quickly because yes. Nowadays, these songs are made with artificial intelligence and autotune, leaving aside all the work and all the artistic beauty that the manual and artisanal process of writing a song lyric can have, as it was in the 50s or 60s, where good music was made and where the origin of all these great themes that have been the precursors and generators of good music and good customs was. I believe that in schools and universities, a music education program should be taught where, as a compulsory subject, all young people and all children are taught about the origin of music, the history of music and opera, classical music, and the great masters of music so that they have musical knowledge and this important part of culture in the world is not lost. It is necessary to preserve this type of tradition because it is part of our history, it is part of our culture as a human race, and it is also necessary because it will lead us to have a better society, a better world. Our music and the lyrics of our songs represent everything we are at a cultural level, they represent our traditions, they represent our religious evolution. Therefore, it is very important that these things are preserved and maintained and that we as human beings must fight and ensure that these values are maintained. In this sense, we can ensure that this education is spread and that awareness is created that we must create music from our emotions and not from the commercial part. Because I also read in a companion's post this week that the competition between a musician who makes commercial music or writes commercial songs and one who really works in the old-fashioned way is quite unfair. Because, obviously, the musician who writes commercial songs is making a living and will make a living more easily than the one who does not do it commercially. Therefore, it is at a great disadvantage for those who do not write commercial themes, because it is much more difficult for them to make a living. Therefore, I believe that there should be regulation or thought about how to regulate this and have a quality standard for songs or recording songs. There should be some kind of regulation that could indicate that commercial songs have a price limit or can only be sold up to certain prices, and that should be very low. In this way, we could give more value or better appreciate the songs that are not commercial and that highlight emotions and what is the true value of good music, including within these genres opera, classical music, and all the songs that highlight the emotions and soul and history of human beings. Their quest to make money, to be trending as someone who drops music back to back, knowing that this generation doesn't care about the lyrics, has killed the music industry badly.
People just listen to beats, not music anymore
The truth is very sad, I am from the generation of '68 and I greatly appreciate good music, I will never change my habits, I love Mozart, classical music, rock above all things, true music.
The regulation should serve a better purpose and also aid the transition and tradition of music in the past compared to recent times. I think this is happening almost every in the world. It’s a generational event. We have everything in a rush. The music industry is just one of the countless examples. Hopefully with time thing get to work for better.

I think regulations from the government and music industry will go a great way to resolve this nonsense in our music in our day.
We really deserve the best, I am not against artists singing for their selfish interest, that's totally their business but atleast they should give us something good and educative. I had to stop listing to some artist recently. Music is gradually dying away and something needs to be done
I am not in favor of regulations in matters of opinion or artistic expression (I'm sure I'm forgetting some other field). You know the problem is not there. And besides, if the older generations had regulated music today we wouldn't even listen to The Beatles.
Best regards @manclar.
The thing is that the damage has already been done, the generation of fools has been born and is multiplying rapidly, and the only way I see is to regulate this now or else... well we will end up losing the music, the culture and the traditions.
Pure automata, pure brainless people my friend, I am very disappointed in all these generations born from 2000 onwards.
I don't know what the future of music and culture will be, I think that traditions are going to end up disappearing, and the identity of the tribes will be lost.
