"Millennium" My favourite Backstreet Boys album.

The other day I was watching family home videos with my sister and it was an activity that we both really enjoyed because in a way it was like travelling back in time and remembering how we were in the past, both physically and in other aspects, but one of the things that caught my attention was that in one of those videos I had a CD in my hand and I was going through it with a lot of excitement, I then remembered that this was my favourite Backstreet Boys album that I had recently bought, it was Millennium, the album had obviously been released years before, but I had bought it at the time and was very excited about my purchase. Then I started looking in my memory boot and then I found it again, I felt so nostalgic 😊🥰.
El otro día estuve viendo videos caseros familiares junto a mi hermana y fue una actividad que ambas disfrutamos muchísimo porque de cierta manera fue como viajar en el tiempo y recordar como éramos en el pasado, tanto físicamente como en otros aspectos, pero una de las cosas que llamó mi atención fue que en uno de esos videos yo tenía un CD en la mano y lo estaba revisando con mucha ilusión, entonces recordé que ese era mi álbum favorito de los Backstreet Boys que yo había comprado recientemente, se trataba de Millenium, el disco obviamente había sido lanzado años antes, pero yo lo había comprado en ese momento y estaba muy emocionada con mi adquisición. Entonces comencé a buscar en mi baúl de recuerdos y entonces lo encontré de nuevo, sentí tanta nostalgia 😊🥰
The album was their way of welcoming the new millennium, that's why it had a futuristic concept, both in the band's appearance and in the stages they used for the album's photographs and of course in the sound of their songs, it was like the evolution of the pop music and it is evident in songs like "Langer than life" a song that was dedicated exclusively to their fans.
El disco fue su manera de recibir al nuevo milenio, por eso tenía un concepto futurista, tanto en la apariencia de la banda como en los escenarios que usaron para las fotografías del disco y desde luego en el sonido de sus canciones, era como la evolución del pop y se evidencia en canciones como "Langer than life" un tema que fue dedicado exclusivamente a sus fans.
I particularly remember a song "It's gotta be you" that I loved because despite having a new rhythm it reminded me a lot of the band's beginnings because in fact it has the same beats of "Backstreet back" the second album of the band, or at least it gives me that impression, on the other hand there were songs like "The perfect fan" that managed to move everyone because it was dedicated to the mothers of the members of the band.
Recuerdo particularmente una canción "It's gotta be you" que me encantaba porque a pesar de tener un ritmo nuevo me recordaba mucho los inicios de banda porque de hecho tiene los mismos beats de "Backstreet back" el segundo disco de la banda, o al menos a mi me da esa impresión, por otra parte hubo temas como "The perfect fan" que logró conmover a todo el mundo pues fue dedicado a las madres de los integrantes de la banda.
I really loved the concept of this album, that's why it's my favourite, also because it marks a beautiful stage of my life when I was about 15 years old and I dreamed of going to one of the band's concerts, unfortunately I could never go, but I was very happy when my cousins gave me a surprise, they attended one of the concerts in Tampa, Florida recently, I think it was last year, I don't remember well, they made a video call and I could see part of the concert, I felt like a teenager again 🤣.
En serio amé el concepto de este disco, por eso es mi favorito, además porque marca una linda etapa de mi vida cuando yo tenía unos 15 años y soñaba con ir a uno de los conciertos de la banda, desafortunadamente nunca pude ir, pero me dio mucha alegría la sorpresa que me dieron mis primas las cuales asistieron a uno de los concierto en Tampa, Florida recientemente, creo que fue el año pasado, no recuerdo bien, ellas hicieron una videollamada y pude ver parte del concierto, me sentí como una adolescente otra vez 🤣
And well, that's all for this post, I sincerely hope you liked it, having found again this jewel is something wonderful for me because it's like meeting again in a certain way with that girl from the past, it was one of the best works of this band, not only musically but conceptually, certainly a good farewell to the 20th century and a good welcome for this millennium we are living.
Y bueno, eso es todo por este post, espero sinceramente que les haya gustado, haber encontrado de nuevo esta joya es algo maravilloso para mi porque es como reencontrarme de cierta manera con esa chica del pasado, fue uno de los mejores trabajos de esta banda, no solo a nivel musical sino conceptual, ciertamente una buena despedida al siglo XX y un buen recibimiento para este milenio que estamos viviendo.

Qué difícil decisión elegir sobre cuál de los álbume de los BSB es el mejor, pero yo también me quedo con éste. Es una joya de finales de los 90's, de mi juventud y de este siglo XXI. Jaja, lo que me hiciste retroceder en recuerdos, es una locura... Pedazo de post, nena, en serio. Lo amé.
Sí, es mi favorito por el concepto, pienso que hicieron un excelente trabajo con el arte conceptual, pero ciertamente es difícil elegir un album favorito, amo a los Backstreet Boys, me alegra muchísimo que te haya gustado 😊
