Hello Hive Open Mic family!
It’s always good to be back for another week of music. This week’s theme — Harmonious Autumn — made me think about how the season itself teaches harmony. Autumn is that quiet balance between warmth and cold, between holding on and letting go. There’s a calm rhythm in the falling leaves, a gentle reminder that change can also be beautiful when it happens in harmony.

That feeling of calm transition inspired my choice for this week: Autumn Leaves, as interpreted by Eric Clapton. I’ve always liked how the song captures both nostalgia and peace — like watching memories drift away softly.

For this presentation, I played the melody version, using my acoustic guitar as the backing track and my electric guitar as the voice, singing the tune through strings in an improvised style. My goal was to let the guitar express that quiet harmony of autumn without saying a word.

Song Lyrics
The falling leaves drift by my window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Yes, I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
