I don't think it matters whether you belong to Generation X or the Baby Boomers, but rather the fact that Paraulata is entering society. She started going out with friends to the movies, the beach, matinee parties, and quinceañeras. Of course, when they gave her permission, ha ha ha. And that was very rare. In a spinning world, I am in my autumn years, but I don't forget my adolescence because, despite everything, those were happy years. I am still restless, passionate, positive, and a dancer.

In those years, they held matinees and bingo games during the day for minors, usually sponsored by high schools during carnivals, December, and the end of the school year. Any excuse was good enough to set up a mini-disco with lights and colored balls. The only music played was wuachi wuachi, romantic songs, and disco. I also remember my uncles taking us to the dance party at the Hotel Cumanagoto after New Year's Eve.

The San Rafael festivities in Boca de Pozo, on the Macanao peninsula, on Margarita Island. We would sneak out to watch from the window of the bar across from my paternal grandmother's house. We weren't allowed inside, so we would dance and laugh outside. Only my brothers were allowed in, and only until a certain time set by my aunt Millo, my dad's older sister. I also remember Luis Poncho's movie theater. We had to bring our own chairs, and sometimes the movies didn't have an ending, and the audience would get upset and throw rocks.

What times those were!

No responsibilities and most of us awakening to love but with the police behind us. From the 70s and 80s, I selected some songs that I like, and when I hear them, they make me dance and remember those days of adolescence. I bring them to you to share with my friend @ablaze and #ThreeTuneTuesday.

Los años 60 marcaron una época donde las sociedades trataban de recuperarse de la guerra y se iniciaron movimientos de los jóvenes por la paz. Asimismo, inician las mujeres el movimiento por la liberación femenina: en República Dominicana con el asesinato de las hermanas Miralba en el año 1960. En los Estados Unidos, en el año 1963 con la publicación del libro “mística de la feminidad”, de la escritora Betty Friedan. Muchos otros acontecimientos como el asesinato del presidente de Estados Unidos John F. Kennedy.
Para mi lo más importante fue Neil Armstrong pisó la luna., me emocione de ver a mi familia y vecinos reunidos como cuando se contaban las doce campanadas del nuevo año. En todos los aspectos hubo noticias relevantes que marcaron estos años. De lo cual no se escapa la música, que ayudó a la juventud a sanar las heridas de la guerra y a reiniciarse. Siendo el año 1969, cuando se realizó el concierto más grande de la historia, que duro tres días, en Woodstock, Nueva York.
Aquellos jóvenes que se rebelaron con sus pelos largos, pantalones acampanados y un mensaje de amor y paz, en los años 70, se incorporaron a la sociedad dando lo mejor de sí. Formaron empresas, consolidaron alianzas, se casaron y tuvieron hijos. En esta época se consolidaron grandes proyectos en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad. Hoy en día son abuelos y bisabuelos. Algunos especialistas hablan de generaciones y coinciden en lo siguiente:

Creo que no es relevante pertenecer a la generación X o Baby Boomer, sino el hecho de que la Paraulata, inicia su ingreso a la sociedad. Comenzó a salir con amigas al cine, a la playa, fiestas de matiné y quince años. Por supuesto, cuando le daban permiso, ja, ja, ja. Y esto era muy raro. En un mundo gira, estoy en la edad otoñal, pero no olvido mi adolescencia porque, a pesar de todo, fueron años felices. Sigo siendo inquieta, apasionada, positiva y bailadora. Oh la la
En estos años hacían matiné y bingos en el día para menores de edad, generalmente eran los liceos quienes los patrocinaban en carnavales, diciembre y fin del año escolar. Se buscaba cualquier pretexto para montar una miniteca con luces y bolas de colores. Donde lo único que se bailaba eran wuachi wuachi, románticos y disco. También recuerdo a mis tíos que nos llevaban después de recibir el año a la fiesta bailable en el Hotel Cumanagoto.
Las fiestas de San Rafael en Boca de Pozo, en la península de Macanao, en la Isla de Margarita. Nos escapábamos para ver desde la ventana en el bar frente a casa de mi abuelita paterna. Teníamos prohibida la entrada y fuera bailábamos todas y reíamos. Solo mis varones estaban autorizados y hasta una hora fijada por mi tía Millo, la hermana mayor de papá. También recuerdo el cine de Luis Poncho, teníamos que llevar la sillas y algunas veces las películas no tenían final y el publico se molestaba y tiraba piedras.
¿Qué tiempos aquellos?
Sin responsabilidades y la mayoría despertando al amor pero con los policías atrás. De los años 70 y 80, seleccioné unas canciones que me gustan y cuando las oigo me ponen a bailar y recordar estos días de adolescencia. Se las traigo para compartir con el amigo @ablaze y #ThreeTuneTuesday.

The 70s and 80s were years of great change and movement in all aspects. Some bands, groups, and solo artists were at their peak and then disappeared. However, they left behind a musical legacy and memories because they were part of these generations. Among them were ABBA, Queen, Barry White, Irene Cara, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Laura Branigan, The Rolling Stones, and others. Some dedicated songs to love.

That beautiful love, for which we are capable of anything, even madness, but which also motivates many to be better people. My number one spot goes to an Australian singer who rose to fame in 1977 with a song known as “Love Is In The Air.”

Los años 70 y 80 fueron de grandes cambios y movimientos en todos los aspectos, algunas bandas , grupos y solistas estuvieron en su máximo apogeo y después desaparecieron. Sin embargo, dejaron un legado musical y recuerdos porque formaron parte de estas generaciones. Entre ellas encontramos a ABBA, Queen, Barry White, Irene cara, Elton Rod Stewart , Laura Branigan, The Rolling Stones , entre otros. Algunos dedicaron canciones al amor.
