While turntables have been making a comeback a while ago, it just crossed my mind lately as to why I didn't have one already. I saw some turntables in a cafe and it's really cool that they are playing Vinyls with exception that most of places that has those turntables plays music I don't like.

I thought they would be too expensive but apparently some of them are quite affordable. The vinyl record for some artist are also accessible. Having to listen to the music from turntables, I don't think it matches the experience of listening with simply a headphone, it's simply just a different experience altogether.

Here are some of the recommendations that I found and you'd be surprised they are pretty affordable.

Best Turntables in all budget range

When I thought about who would be best to collects its vinyl when I have the turntable is basically those three I mentioned, Anderson Paak, Leon Bridges, Teddy Swims. These artist often have this clean production and smooth groovy beat that just makes you want to dance to it.

Teddy Swims

For me, Teddy swims sit on top of the #1 artist for me these days. His powerful voice just captured my heart and recently, bad dream has been on repeat in my playlist. I just think his Album "I've tried everything but therapy" would be so great being played on the turntable. It makes you happy, sad and all sorts of range of emotion in just one album. Even if you're not a fan of soul/R&B pop, you can still enjoy it.

Anderson.Paak

Perhaps, most of us find Anderson though Bruno Mars but when you dive through his musical discography, he has some solid stuff and this is the sample of his discography and artists with similar beat style as he is.

I mean, all I am picturing is that vibe when you have whisky on the rock and some groovy to lighten up the mood. There's just something about his musics that makes you nod to it. His vinyl isn't too expensive as well, a few collection of his will help heal your soul 😂

Leon Bridges

Leon is one of my new discovery in this genre. Since I typically listen a lot of crossovers, spotify gave me some recommendation and I landed into this artist. He has similar vibe with anderson paak but with much more laid back beat, packed lyrics yet still easy to listen to.

His voice isn't as powerful as teddy but you'd appreciate the beat style. Some of its heavy bass also reminds me of Tom Misch. He also releases album with Khruangbin and one the songs you should listen to when you need some sunshine. .

I am kinda surprised his songs aren't played around cafe here cause it's that good and honestly, a good music for the background noise.

These crossovers are great for people like me who loves a mix of them equally. I wouldn't say I'd like it if it's a pure soul or pure R&B but crossovers exist and they're great for music listeners in my style 😄

If you enjoy these type of genre, I've been talking about them for a while. I know Tuesday is over but here's my #ttt for the week and hope you get to listen some smooth and groovy tunes that will cheer you up😊
