Three Tunes Tuesday - Morgan Wallen

Hello everyone!

Let’s just say I increasingly become a person I used to hate. Here’s the list : I use Windows, Netflix, Evernote, Discord and last but not least, Spotify 😂I am entering my normie era and leaving the hail richard stallman era. This is about my story of re-discovering spotify & Morgan Wallen.

I used spotify in the past but soon left it. Then, I used soundcloud and youtube music for years. The thing is they are okay and I forgot what was great about spotify until I subscribed to it again. If you think it’s about algorithms, that isn’t entirely wrong but to me that doesn't matter. I only listen to artists/singers that I like and don’t fall into the algorithm crap. I am sure the algorithm itself feels fairly confused with my music choices. So, what makes them better than the free version out there? It's the audio people, the high quality audio that it offers when it compares to youtube music or soundcloud. However, I wouldn’t know if it’s compared to Apple Music, I never use them and I am not an apple user.

When I signed up for premium again, I discovered a lot of the music that I used to listen to in the past and that is different from my youtube music discography. That is when I rediscovered my love for Morgan Wallen again. I used to listen to him in the past and for some reason stopped. For the three tunes Tuesday this time, I am going to present the discography of Morgan Wallen. If you’re into modern country pop songs, buckle up and prepare your headphones.

Spin You Around

This year, Morgan Wallen released the 10th anniversary edition of Stand Alone, his first debut EP. Unlike the first edition, this edition comes with 7 more additional tracks. This 10th anniversary version album also ranked 25 on US billboard. One of the best track in that album is this according to me.

One thing at a time

The second discography of his that you could listen to is One Thing At A Time that is fun and pretty upbeat. This is one of his upbeat songs that I enjoy listening to after his collaboration with Post Malone who are now going into country rather than Rap/HipHop.

Heartless

The third one is a collaboration with Diplo titled Heartless. It’s a country trap song that was popular many years ago. It was pretty cool song and that was actually the first time I discovered Morgan Wallen since I love diplo when he was still Jack Ü

I find his music to be great to listen to on Sundays and something that you could put in the background while cleaning. I don’t think most people like country but Morgan has made country songs cool and ear friendly to millennials and Gen Z. As he has received many awards and his albums and songs often made it to the top 30.

Also next week, I think I'll submit it early because now I know who to submit. It's Post-Malone and I have a few thing to talk about him. Afterall, I followed him since white iverson to today's where he blends country with hip hop/rap. See you next week!

I didn't know his slur controversy before reading that 😅 I only know his DUI and alcoholism, I mean his lyrics says it all too.

I was shocked to read that you were using Windows and I couldn't read any further, just kidding hahaha.

Not a style of music I usually listen to, but hey, it sounds good.

PS: You use Evernote, have you read about Joplin?, maybe you might like it.

I heard of it but never use Joplin. These days I am using UpNote as it's a lot cheaper for the subscription price.

Joplin is free, however, it does not have as many tools as Evernote.

Another very good option that I also use, but a bit more for academic purposes, is Obsidian.
